Rudy is the Michaelangelo (spellcheck?) of Chino… if you didn’t know you’d better ask somebody! He is the best!
His experience is unmatched… nobody can cut hair like he can and he has been doing it for 40 years…40 YEARS!!!
This is an old-​school, no frills, barbershop where you feel like family and may even get entertained by Mr. Rudy and his clever and witty ways!
Just make sure you try to avoid peak hours, because they do get busy as they are VERY good here!

At first glance this place is very old and simple with rap music blaring, however the wait was good on sat morning. My bf got the hair cut from the only female there and she seems very attentive and careful in her hair cut and took her time.

Funny workers, all niggas. Don’t come here if your Puerto rican or Muslim. lol juss sayin.

I like Rudy’s Village Barber shop. It’s an old-​school, no frills, get-​a-​good-​haircut kind of place. I’ve only gotten my hair cut from Rudy – and he’s a very nice guy to talk to in addition to being an excellent barber. Everyone else there seems nice too, but I haven’t gotten a haircut from them yet. If you’re looking for a good haircut from an actual barbershop (as opposed to a salon), then Rudy’s Village is the place for you.

I had been going to Rudys for 3 years now, until I moved to Irvine. See my other post about Bell Tower Barbershop on that. It is an old school barbershop, with Rudy as the head barber. He is quick with the clippers and his opinion and gives a straight up great cut and fade. There is then Paula, the lone female in the shop. Though I never had a cut from her, I have seen good work come out of her chair. Next down the line is Jeremy who is sharp with the clippers, and then Miguel, an amateur boxer with his share of tattoos. But don’t let this discourage you or make you look for another chair or shop. His fades are bar none, the best I have ever gotten. If you want a zero sides, he puts that clipper to your skin and gets it down to the scalp. He does take his time, as they all do, and a fade can take upwards of 30 minutes per barber, per customer. I have waited over two hours once with only 3 people in front of me, to get Miguel, but he is rock solid. The only cons to the place: gotta get there early as the cuts are on the long side, and you can use your lunch hour up and get no closer to getting it done, cash only… no check… no plastic, the clientele run the gamut, everyone from kids getting their first cuts to the old timers that are running out of authentic barbershops in their neighborhoods. This updated post of mine corrects the ignorance on race that I stated earlier. I said that some of the clientele looked «gang-​bangerish», which can’t be further from the truth and is the wrong way to pass judgement on people I have never spoken to. I apologize to all, as my statement was offensive. I have never had an issue with anyone there, and am sure that I never will. I have never gone on a Friday or a weekend, but if there is a line on a Wednesday at 10 am, I can only imagine it on a Saturday. Be sure to sign in at the door or you will have to sort it out with the people that are waiting…
