Very friendly staff and the food was enjoyable! My kids loved the jr. rib plate which I was happy to see they had as an option on the kids menu! Sweet tea was right on point too!

I’m giving it 3 stars because the people were friendly, and the atmosphere was unique to me. The good isn’t my type. (this was recommended while on a business trip) the other people in my party really liked their choices. It was meat of some kind. I can’t eat bread. Choose not to eat meat or dairy so options for me were iceberg lettuce from the salad bar. All the #veggies had butter and bacon. Sweet potato fries had a flour coating. I ended up with a plain baked potato and ketchup :-). Everyone else loved it though. I liked the story behind the name. Great community. Super nice people.

Food was alright. Service was ok. When asked how much longer for food after waiting 35 minutes the reply was another 15 minutes and tons of excuses were given as for why…
I dislike excuses… A lot.

Great BBQ and great service! Awesome! Get the Brunswick stew or loaded baked potato and it won’t disappoint.

Phenomenally average. The menu has a card stating that because the owner will not compromise on quality, there is an upcharge on chicken, pork, and beef. I get that. I’m ok with that I have no issue payin for quality
However, quality was not what we received. The pulled polrl, advertised as an 8 ounce portion was bland, flavorless, and only about 5 ounces. The Mac n cheese side was clearly from a can, and it was cold. Additionally, the roll was clearly store bought, and nothing says quality quite like margarine.
I had the Bambi, a smoked chicken breast with cheese and grilled vegetables. The chicken was dry, but the veg was wonderful. Crisp onions and peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes too. An over baked potato and canned beans rounded out my plate. Canned beans at a bbq place? That’s just wrong on every level. At least throw in some pork n beef trimmings, give the beans a little personality? They were hot though.
Overall, not bad. Not great by any means. But not bad. Maybe it was an off night in the kitchen

The business trip to Chipley Florida is always long. Not much of the restaurant choice in the small town. Most of the small town is good on the catfish. We are here for the catfish.
The catfish here is fresh. They offer batter fried, Cajun spice or grilled. Of course they have other menu but the catfish is the greatest. We have order the fried cat fish and the come in two fillet which is the whole fish. The dish accompany with two sides. I have selected collar green and fried okra. I have add the cocktail sauce for dipping. The dish also comes with three hush puppies.
The coating of the fish is a bit all bay season. The coating is very thin and create crunchy crispy. It is salty base. The hush puppies is great for the accompany side. Nothing is better than the southern style collar green and the fried okra. Unfortunately my co-​worker has a bad stomach after eating. We not sure which food item causing is it. 3 stars is awarded

Food ok. Porterhouse tbone tough as leather and manager wouldnt even take time to see why it was sent back. Servers always have to be asked when condiment is needed. Seriously, should you have to ask for something when you should think ahead and take care of those things when order is placed? Also had to always ask to have glasses filled and dirty dishes taken away. Come on people. How do you like your service when you go out?

Still open. Good Brunswick stew. Unilocal directions were wrong but they have a land line.

Great home style cooking! Family friendly restaurant with helpful and friendly service. All the meats are smoked on premises so you can’t go wrong with any of the BBQ. I had pulled pork, hubby had prime rib. He can be critical but raved over the meat and au jus. Daughter had the «junior» burger which was actually a full ¹⁄₃ lb! You could make a meal just from their sides. Fried green beans were the unexpected hit. Very reasonably priced — $ 50 for our family of 4, including tip. Would definitely recommend and am already looking forward to our next meal!

We’ve been driving all over the south. Seriously the first ‘true’ southern food experience we’ve had. It’s the kind of place we’ve been waiting for. Not over priced, great people, great menu selection, awesome sides (we’ve been disappointed in other southern states where meat is great and sides are gross). I had the hamburger and my husband had the catfish. Good burger, but if I had to do it over again I’d order some BBQ. They smoke in-​house. Yummy fried green beans. Huge ice cold drinks in mason jars, clean as heck including the restrooms — added bonus, there’s a baby changer! I even love their mints! Just can’t say enough great things about this place. Check it out if driving by on the interstate.

Amazing brisket and a great selection of country vegetables. Best fried okra since Grandma died.

Portions are huge and food is great! Laid back place which was a nice break from our trip to Florida.
I got the bacon cheeseburger and smothered it in their homemade BBQ sauce. The girlfriend got the loaded potato and it was bigger than the plate! Big appetites only.

We stopped by here enroute to Montgomery, AL. Good home-​cooked southern style food at a reasonable price.
Keep in mind that the place is closed on Tuesdays and only open from 11 AM-​2PM on Sunday to handle locals who eat brunch after attending church services.
Look forward to trying their barbecue the next time we drive thru Chipley. We tried their southern-​style buffet, and it was good.

Stopped in on our way to Key West. Pulled pork sandwich was very good. Also sweet potato fries were excellent.
