Dave’s Wholesale

It’s a hit or miss place, more on the miss side. The hours of operation are lame. During the week, if you don’t have a day job, get there before 4 pm because they start closing down the store and won’t let you access certain areas anymore; just so they can all go home at 5 pm. It must be government workers.
NEVER buy dog food from here. They keep it outside in the sun then bring it back in at night.

So disappointed with this place! I just saw an item that I recently purchased at costco for $ 6.50 (full price) selling for $ 14 at Dave’s wholesale! Crazy!!! Most of their stuff is damaged or used, and they scam their customer by offering a «40%» off on certain things each week, when the same item, new, and not on sale, would be cheaper at Costco, where they get their stuff from!!!

Do not waste your time coming to Dave’s «wholesale». Scarfs for $ 20, printers for $ 140, kids jeans for $ 12+ and other very disappointing «wholesale» prices.
They are pallet buyers so a lot of the items will be out of retail box, store returns (passed off as «new», potentially damaged returns and like it’s mentioned everywhere «all sales are final»

This place is amazing! I came in again to see if they had any specials and boy did they. I will not disclose what they have but I will be going back again. This place rocks! Christmas in April

I love this place I cant believe that this place only has 1Review! If your a fan of Costco your going to love this place not only is it returns or used stuff they have plenty of new stuff TV’S for a cheaper price, Blue Rays almost everything u find at Costco you’ll find it here. I’ve bought two watches here Michael Kors, and Betsy Johnson for under $ 50, compared to retail value of $ 200 This a definite Christmas gifts destination the only thing is you have to go often since they receive new merchandise daily, Sign up to the emailing list to know when they have sales that interest you like electronics or clothes I love a good deal and this place definitely has good deals.

Love going to Dave’s. This is the coolest place. I always find more than I had went in for way cheaper than expected.

Overall I would recommend for Christmas shopping.

On 10÷31÷13 I was at the checkout counter at Dave’s Wholesale paying for $ 15 worth of products with a debit card. The cashier, B. Esparanza, asked for my I.D. At first I assumed she was going to ring up the purchase as a credit but that was not the case. I was surprised because I’ve purchased thousands of things over the decades at other places and NEVER was asked for an I.D. when a debit card was used requiring a pin number to be entered. When I asked her about it, she said, «Oh yea we always ask for I.D. for debit cards». If this is Dave’s policy, this is even more disappointing. I bet if the store was in a nicer part of town like Eastlake or Carlsbad, things would be different. You can’t trust those people near National City apparently.
Secondly, B. Esparanza doesn’t hand your card back to you. She is one of those poor etiquette practicing cashiers that put your card and receipt on the counter instead of handing them to you. Either Dave’s staff isn’t teaching the proper way to cashier and proper manners, or Dave isn’t checking up on the staff. I worked retail at Fedco for 11 years so I know what proper cashiering/​customer service is.
This will be my last time shopping at Dave’s Wholesale, I’d rather pay a little more at Walmart or Target, or Kmart if these experiences are what I would have to deal with again. Besides, there is another store very similar to Dave’s but much larger called GTM Stores. They have discounted/​returned/​blemished warehouse club merchandise just like Dave’s but 10 times as much to select from.
