This place is low key delicious! Prices went up a bit but they still have the $ 1.25 mini tacos which is cheaper then everywhere else. Their adobada is great! Its a small joint with a drive thru and outside seating but don’t be discouraged the magic happens inside the restaurant. Thry their potato tacos and their tacos al vapor are super dank. and cheap! Carne asada fries too, lotta cheese(monterrey jack) guacamole and carne and fries haha. They also have $ 1 bottled drinks like arizona half tea half lemonade bottled soda.

I used to eat here a lot when I was younger and their roll tacos were the best ! With lots of meat in them and they would put avocado. Cilantro lettuce cheese on top now they don’t! I’m disappointed. Their food went from good to whatever’s now. Their roll tacos taste like your eating a tortilla rolled up with lettuce and guac and they take forever to give you your order. What happened ! This was my fav place to get rolled tacos now I’m searching to see where I can find a place that makes good rolled tacos. Not to mention their always closed. They say they open at a certain time and their not.

Eh not impressed we tried it here because the reviews were really good. Honestly the place looks dirty not only from the outside but if you go through the drive thru the kitchen looks pretty nasty too. The cashier kept on swinging from the register to the kitchen and she had her hair in a really messy bun with fly away hairs all over the place so I think that if shes gonna be running around in the kitchen she should be wearing a hair net. The food is not bad but their salsa was bad like canned or i dont know but nasty. I ordered a California burrito and it was decent but smaller than other places. My boyfriend got a carne asada plate for $ 7 something and it had very little meat on there like maybe for one taco. So i dont think ill be coming back here

Disappointment!!! This place was my #1 cali burrito was the best! Been passing by and it was closed, finally today I was able to order my cali burrito. What a major disappointment! It was nothing but fries & cheese with a lil of guacamole & carne. What happen to this place?! Service was poor took a long time to give me my order plus they forgot my hot carrots. :/Not to mention flies everywhere! Super dirty!!!

20 years ago when I was a teenage ruffian my friends and I would always hit up Nortenos for their $ 1 bean and cheese burritos. Perfect fare and price for broke and hungry adolescent skate rats. I remember their burritos being quite tasty and cheesy and for a buck well AYGUEY, es muy bueno! This place is a Chula Vista strong hold. I haven’t been back since I was a teenager but I do look forward to a reunion sooner than later! It’s rad to see that in two decades the price of their bean and cheezers have only gone up .75 cents! I may be much older now and much has changed, but it’s nice to see that some things stay the same!

I’m on a quest to find the best taco joint in South Bay. With so many to choose from, this venture may take years. I tried El Norteno on a Sunday afternoon. We ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 2 cheese enchiladas. The carne asada tacos were very large and stuffed with meat, guac, onions and cilantro. I like that they didn’t fry the tortilla, which is what I have found in most of the area taco shops, however the meat was very bland and even gristly. The cheese enchiladas were better, they came in a very mild red sauce and had shredded cabbage on the side. The one good thing about this place is the friendly staff and they have a drive-thru. After reading the other reviews, we may return to try their famous potato tacos instead.
