I just recently had a bad experience with my mom at this place. I had given them some nice clothes to change my mom into but instead she still had her same clothes on when she passed at home. On a, seemed like a gurney, with a blanket covering her lower half. I felt like my mom was disgraced. They wouldnt want their mom wheeled out like that. The place is awful. Too many services going on at the same time. People bumping into other upset people. It did not seem very intimate to me. More like hurry up and grieve cuz we have other people coming in. I would make sure that everything is suppose to be the way you want before they are presented. I would recommend the old Humphreys between K and L. Florence Lyda

I must say planning a funeral, without a plan, is the most daunting, stressful, and exhausting thing to do. I commend the entire staff at Humphrey Mortuary because they made the funeral arrangements less stressful. I love the ambience because the facility makes the place look welcoming. It is well lit and does not look like a creepy mortuary. Once inside, you are usually greeted by a young lady at the front desk and you ask her whom you are here to see and speak. Our funeral preparer was Gabriel. He is a patient and soft spoken gentleman. Off the bat, I could tell that he has done funeral arrangements for years and knows how to deal with families at these saddening situations. He made my family and I feel comfortable and let us take our time. At the night of the viewing and day of the internment, Robert(I believe) made our guests and my family feel comfortable. He always tried his best to make us laugh with his comical jokes and family history. Robert and another fellow cautiously drove the hearse to the Church and Miramar National Cemetery at 50 to 55 miles per hour. The only recommendation I would ask is to install a changing station in the restrooms because I had to change my daughter’s diaper in my husband’s car four times.

I give them one star but they don’t even deserve that. These people are cold and all they care about is making a dollar. They attempted to overcharge me for services that another funeral home gave me for half the price. When my mom passed away three days ago I had del angel pick her up from the medical examiner office in Kearney mesa. When I realized I was being overcharged. I had the other funeral home pick her up. They charged us $ 695.00 simply for picking her up the day before and holding her overnight. Stay away from Del Angel.
