My husband has always wanted to throw a White Party — I’m not sure why, but he has. So for his birthday this year, I threw him a surprise White Party, and 15 of his closest and oldest friends arrived in head-to-toe white. We had a «progressive» dinner at the Courtyard Marriott downtown(6th and Broadway), and the entire event was just incredible. The factor that really kicked the event up a few notches was hiring a photographer. People were dressed up, and I did NOT want them trying to take selfies of themselves, and with their partner all night — I wanted them to be present, and enjoy the party. That is exactly what happened. I was nervous about hiring a photographer for an event with so few guests, because I didn’t want our friends to feel awkward about large lens following them around for the evening. I had nothing to fear — Gian from G Squared Photography is highly professional, and so mild-mannered that the camera was completely unobtrusive. Since the event was held in three different settings — hence the progressive — it posed a challenge from a photographer’s perspective. Gian captured all three settings wonderfully — the San Diego skyline with our guests at sunset, the inside of a highly-reflective safe-deposit vault for dinner, and a dimly-lit billiards room. Not to mention, in any given photo are people of a variety of skin tones(my husband is Indian), which is not to be overlooked. Everyone who has seen the pictures so far has not commented on the event itself, but rather, «Wow, your photographer did a really good job!» Plus, Gian was able to take a few requests from me after-the-fact, and work some magic with Photoshop to eliminate evidence of my smudged make-up, and the mango piece I spilled right on the front of my white dress. I would prefer to remember the evening as G Squared Photography captured it! HA! I would recommend the use of G Squared Photography for your event — big or small.
