No creo volver.

If you really want mexican seafood, this is the place to go. The fish ceviche is really really good, and you get 2 tostadas for $ 3.50. The mantarraya taco is really good, and if you want to cure your hangover, get the aguachile and the hangover will go away really fast. Service is ok

Food is bomb here. Feels like your in tijuana. So if your not hispanic you might feel a tad outta place. Alot of the time they have really loud live music. So not the best place for chatting or romance. Food is great. Fish tacos $ 0.99 cant beat that. Ceviche delicious. Marlin tacos amazing! Clamatos amazing!

I give this place two stars because the micheladas are good. The food is just average, nothing to write home about. The reason I gave it two stars is because the service towards closing is horrible. They close at 9pm, but by 8:15 the waitresses tell you the kitchen is closing and start mopping with strong smelling pine sol right by where you are eating, really?! Also, don’t ever try calling because they wont answer. Ever. If you have a phone, answer it. If you close at 9, then you should indeed close at 9. If bot change your hours.

Better late than never. This was my first unofficial Unilocal event/meet up weeks ago. It’s far from where I live but when I heard there’s a place in the 619 that still makes .99 cents legit authentic fish tacos… I was up for the drive! As I was parking, I was greeted by the smiling mariachis or the band as they got out of their car. I thought, oh this is gonna be fun, perfect timing. We all sat at the bar, I was last on arrival so I had to catch up. The attractive ladies that work there are really sweet, helpful, and attentive. Everyone was working hard. I ordered a michelada or was it a chilada? I’m not a big fan of tomato juice so I got a little splash of Clamato so it looked really light in color with Pacifico. I had a hard time choosing what beer because they had so many of my favorites. I came there for cheap tacos but ended up trying their incredible shrimp and fish ceviche tostadas with perfect slices of avocado on top instead. The server even packed me one to go. It was fresh and so mouthwatering, packed high on top of the crispy tostada you have to use a fork just to clear the way. It was crowded in the small space, loud, there was even a rose lady, but a super chill vibe. I felt like I was on vacation since it was a warm day too. Then the band started playing and customers were was singing with them. This bar is so chill and casual. Sometimes you have to go off the beaten path to find a pure genuine hidden gem like this spot.

1 $ fish tacos, amazing Micheladas, 2 for 1 ceviche tostadas, bomb agua chile, and the occasional band that plays music on the weekends. What’s not to like about this place? Whenever I go here(which is quite a lot) I always enjoy my time. Also, last time I went here I left my hydro flask at the table I was sitting at. I realized that I had left it there nearly 3 hours later and when I drove back to hopefully retrieve it they had it sitting to the side. It was a great feeling! This place feels like I’m down in Mexico eating food and that is another reason why I love it. Give it a try!

A few years ago, my brother introduced me here. It was pretty fun experience because he’s a frequent guest here. All those fine looking servers know him too well. Sorry bro on calling you out, but this is one of my favorite mariscos in town– next to Hector’s and Karina’s. They have fresh .99 cents Fish Tacos, which are delicious and satisfying. I usually start with a pair of them along with a michelada. They make their micheladas as authentic can be. They line up your cup with chamoy and Mexican seasoning(similar to Tajín). Next they add ice, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, hot sauce, your favorite Mexican beer and top it off with Clamato. Ahhhh, yeah! My mouth is already watering for another one soon. Their cocktails are splendid, Be sure to try Shrimp, Shrimp and Octopus or Campenchana– which is a mixed seafood delight. I’m a fan of all of their menu items, but I will be sure to come back and try their soups. The atmosphere is laid back. You can seat yourself anywhere you like. I prefer watching sports at the bar upfront. You get to see your drinks made on the fly. The service is excellent, no one is pushy. The food here is great! The fat: Come enjoy great food with live banda music. The skinny: Free parking and playground area.

Went here the other day to an UYE to eat mariscos and micheladas. Had a shrimp tostada and a fish and a Marlin taco. They were all very good just that shrimp on the tostada should have been marinated in lime slightly longer because of the texture and taste. Otherwise everything was great. Hung out with a couple Unilocalers including Ace D, Laura and met Andy shortly before he left. Had some good talk and made friends!

This is a very good little hole in the wall Marisco place. I’ve been too many Marisco places & this is one of the most affordable ones that have good food. The fish tacos are only 99¢ & a good size. Yeah it’s not big & fancy like Karina’s or Hectors in Eastlake but it’s still good, good enough to take a few friends to eat some good tacos & have some great Micheladas & chill & just hangout. I met the Unilocaler homie Ace here & other Unilocalers, it was my first time here & I really liked it. It’s small but chill, it has a little patio in the front & the girls working are really nice & give you good service. They were always checking on us & took good care of us. The place is real clean & tho it might not look all fancy it’s still a good little place to have Mariscos. I had 2 fish tacos which were good & a Campechana which they use the Mariscos broth instead of just Clamato juice to make it & I love that. If you know bout Mariscos then you would appreciate that like I do. My fav item here tho was the Micheladas! I had 2 with my food, I’m not even a beer guy but I had 2 of them & wanted a 3rd but had to drive so I kept it at 2. And if you sit at the bar they make it right in front of you. That’s the main reason why I’ll be coming back for the Micheladas & of course you got to get a few 99¢ tacos as well.

Food is good, the waitress are friendly and helpful. The place is a little small and when the band plays be ready to text the person in front of you, because you can’t hear a damn thing… Overall a pretty good little dive.

99 cent fish tacos are a great deal and are best fish tacos I’ve had in a long time. Beats the roach coaches that charge you about 2.50 for a taco. Also have good shrimp ceviche and always fully staffed and very friendly

I came here over the weekend and I tore this place up. To start, they have the best micheladas in town. They make theirs with chamoy— hell yes! The tacos were great. I had the 99cent fish tacos, the smoked marlin w/cheese, and hot shrimp, and the garlic shrimp tacos. My favorite was the hot shrimp taco. I also had the campechana, which was filled with plenty of yummy seafood delights. They don’t skimp on they’re portions It’s a small, whole-in-the-wall kinda place– but it’s worth a visit. I’m a fan!

My niece came to this restaurant with her 4 small children recently and had a horrible experience. She found drug needles(multiple) in the children’s playground area. She told management who did nothing about the needles and didn’t seem to care about their environment. This is extremely disappointing and truly unsafe for an public establishment. We will never come back to this restaurant.

You will probably miss it if you blink, but once you find it and come in and try their fresh talapia ceviché and their homemade like fish consomé you’ll never for get it. And the service is great.

This place is amazing! True and authentic food(I absolutely love mexican soups– and the fish soup was so flavorful and meaty– I could have only had that and been satisfied). Service was great as well. We started with guacamole and octopus cocktail– SO good. Not too adventurous with fish/octopus? They have tons of other cocktail options on the menu and at a great price for the portion. I had the grilled fish taco and the octopus taco, as well as my fish soup. My friends had the shrimp tacos and fried fish tacos– they were thrilled with the flavors. This is an excellent spot to go– come hungry! And next time I’m totally trying their amazing looking Micheladas!!!

This place is decent. I’ve passed this place a gazillion times but never tried it. I love seafood and today I was in the seafood mood so I decided to try this place out. The service was awesome. The waitress was attentive and was super nice. When it comes to the chow, it was good and decent. I’m a big guy with a big appetite, so when I saw the special tostada and shrimp tostada, I knew I was going to eat again after this spot. The food was good, but for a person with a big appetite, this is child’s play. The Michelada was good, but that red chili salt they put on the rim made my lips red like lipstick lol. Nice little spot they have there if you want chill and to throw down some cold ones with your buddies. I’d come here again, but not when I’m super hungry, maybe if I just want a little ceviche snack.

Came here with some friends for the first — and probably only — time to try the 99 cents fish tacos. Not sure how the other food on the menu tastes, so this review is just for the fish tacos. First of all, if you’re turned off by not-maintained parking lot, building, and tables/chairs, then this place is not for you. It’s pretty hole-in-the-wall looking, which I actually love, so I had high hopes for this place. We came on a Monday at 2pm, so it wasn’t too busy, and we found a table immediately. Service was fine as they came right away, gave us chips and salsa, and took our orders [two fish tacos each]. When our food arrived, I was disappointed to see that the fish were not only small, but were also heavily breaded, and the rest of the tacos were mostly the lettuce/tomato fillers. The taste was a little off, and the fish didn’t taste too fresh. Later, another friend told me that, as an unspoken rule, you should not order the fish on a Monday, and I paid for it – I got food poisoning. Anyway, I don’t plan on going back. I’ve heard that this place is fun if you want a michilada, and on the weekend, they have a live band playing, but after my experience, this wasn’t worth it for me. One star for good service, and another star for the possible fun place to hang out and grab a drink, but that’s it.

Authentic. So so service. Good 99 cent fish tacos although the fish is very thickly breaded. Overall awesome.

So I do not like seafood but went in for a michelada and to accompany my friend who wanted aguachiles… so my review is on the chips, the fries, the michelada, and the crappy ass service… So we were 3 and sat on the barstools outside facing the street. The waitress came out and asked for our drinks without bringing any menus. So I ordered a michelada budweiser and a basket of fries. She had an attitude right off the bat and seemed very snotty. «Chips»(were really tostadas because they ran out off chips) and salsa came out quick, then or micheladas about 5 minutes later. Then the waitress disappeared for about 25 minutes and we were all left with empty cups and I still didn’t have my freakin fries! I asked for a 2nd beer and if my fries were almost done, then the waitress rolled her eyes a bit and said she would check. Then 20 seconds later the fries were out… cold… meaning she let them sit, it wasn’t the kitchens fault. So after this I didn’t order anything else but asked for more tostadas and salsa and she again had an attitude. I just don’t understand why someone like that would keep working as a waitress when it’s obvious she hates her job.

I give this place 3 stars because it’s not the 5 star type of place lol. The food is authentic and fresh. The fish ceviche tostadas are my favorite. They are fresh and you get two for the price of one. The tacos are all pretty good as well and a good size. I would stick to the basics here. The seafood soup or siete mares was not one of my favorites. They put that horrendous seafood mix you find in the supermarket that god knows what’s in it lol. The broth itself isn’t bad but stick to tacos and tostadas here lol. I’ve had the aguachiles which are pretty good as well spicy but good. The clamatos with your choice of beer always hit the spot. The place itself is a little old house. They have Banda on the weekends but Sunday nights are pretty ghetto basing it off tonight lol. They were chasing a lady down for leaving a $ 115.00 dollar tab. Everyone seemed pretty drunk since it was close to closing. The staff is always slow no matter how full or how empty it is. If you go there you know what to expect let’s just say that lol. You are willing to overlook all that just to go get a good ceviche tostada and fish taco for a very good price. Next time you’re in the neighborhood check it out for yourself =)
