Federation Antiques

This antique store is located on Madison Road but the parking lot and the entrance are off of Lavinia Avenue right around the corner. The store is huge and has a huge selection of restored and original antiques.
The staff was a little over friendly when I went in. All I wanted to do was browse and see if they had anything I could use in my apartment. They kept asking me if I was looking for anything. I kept wanting to say, «Yes, antiques, duh.» Then later on (I’m assuming he was the owner) was even more pushy and smiley and asked me the same question and was very over zealous with my presence. It was creepy. It seemed like they don’t get a lot of customers!
The store carries furniture, lamps, desks, pottery, plateware, and lots of other household items and knick knacks from the 17^th, 18^th, and 19^th centuries. I didn’t purchase anything as it was all very horribly expensive. You can’t find any bargains here! However, everything was very beautiful, fun to look at and imagine owning!
