We had the absolute worst experience ever because of this Dr. Colleen FitzGibbon. Never in my 48 years of owning/caring for animals, have I met such an unprofessional, cold & heartless«professional”-(& I use that term very lightly!) She took what should have been a peaceful goodbye to a beloved pet, & made it a horrific memory that we will not soon forget. She had no compassion, when we asked if she could do the procedure on the floor since our 92 lb dog was in so much pain. Not to mention that he had the added stress & anxiety. She quickly responded with a cold«NO»! She stated in a rather nasty tone that her kness were not up to it. She then told us to get the«DOG» on the table.(NEVERUSINGHISACTUALNAME) Not once did she show one bit of sensitivity. When I helped the tech raise our frightened friend onto the table, she then motions for me to move. No sooner do I, that we have to witness this poor scared creature fall some 3ft off the table hitting his head on the concrete floor. Now, I will say that my first knee gut reaction was– i slipped a one word profanity. I quickly apoligized, only to be threatened in a loud shout that she will not handle language, & that she will have me taken out of the building! Never once checking or even caring of the state of the dog, who was quite rattled to say the least. she was more concerned about my reaction to her lack of skills. I actually apologized after our beloved pet was gone, only to be preached to once more. She had no words of condolences before or after. She showed absolutely NO compassion, or explanation of what was about to happen when she walked in. Only… THATDOGNEEDSTOBEONTHETABLE! I will never forget this terrible, terrible experience! I only hope that I can spare another family such heartache. Dr. FitzGibbon should take a few classes on how to deal with peoples emotions during these kind of stressful times, or find a new occupation. The worst experience EVER!!!
