Fraise Frozen Yogurt and Smoothies

No. Wait… yeah, no.
I decided to cash in on the $ 1 off coupon that always appears on the back of my Kroger receipts and was hoping, doubting but hoping, that this might finally prove to be REAL frozen yogurt and not another Orange Leaf.
But nah, it’s just like Orange Leaf. They are generous with sampling. And it’s cool that the self-​serve stations are set up to recommend pairings like Key Lime and Cheesecake. But as you can tell by the offerings, it’s rather decadent and the yogurt is less yogurt and more ice-​cream in terms of the creaminess and guilt you get per cup. It’s a telltale sign when they don’t offer an «Original» flavor. Yagoot is still the closest thing to real frozen yogurt in the area.
One thing to note – although there’s plenty of parking in this HUGE commercial lot, I’ve seen it get packed to the point where you’ll have to trail a person walking to their car to get a spot.

I agree with Cynthia R. that this appears like a grown-​up Orange Leaf. An impressive euro-​café interior, interesting flavors, and the smoothie options allow Fraise to appeal to people who want more than just fro-​yo. I tried the Cali tart and pink lemonade which were both very good and refreshing. There are many other flavors that seem interesting like root beer float and salted caramel pretzel.
I definitely enjoyed Fraise more than Orange Leaf but I believe the quality is still better at Yagoot. The smoothie option is cool with some interesting combinations but they are pricey (the smallest size is $ 5.95). Regular frozen yogurt is about the same as most self serve places at approximately $.50 an ounce.

Orange Leaf in a more grown-​up setting. Fancy bathroom! Yeah it’s a little pricey, but what fro-​yo place isn’t? They do offer a loyalty rewards program and a 20% happy hour discount. Definitely ask for some sample cups so you can taste a few flavors before making a commitment. I enjoyed my snack on one of their outside seats while listening to the music coming from Lime next door. Yum! I’d go back.
