Their combo plate is really great for sharing between two people(two tacos and a quesadilla with either chicken, steak, or tofu), and it’s a great deal for $ 9. Their sauces are a little too sweet, so I think next time I will order it spicy. Service was fast and friendly, I would eat it again!

Big fan of Red Sesame and it’s friendly owner! Saw they were in Blue Ash and had to stop by for a delicious KBBQ burrito and mini quesadilla. By far my favorite food truck in Cincinnati! The burrito was delicious with fresh veggies and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The mini quesadillas are a nice bite-sized appetizer to quench your hunger in eager anticipation of the main entrée. Thank you Red Sesame!

I’m a once a week(twice if I can get to Fountain Square) regular of Red Sesame. I try to support local businesses whenever I can and in this case it’s an absolute pleasure. I really think BJ the owner/window guy is doing something special here and I look forward to it every Thursday at Longworth Hall. I lean toward the chicken burrito but I also like the steak. The sauce is addicting and so different from anything else I’ve ever had. Portions are more than adequate especially if you get a burrito. It easily rivals Chipotle in overall mass and then blows them out of the water on flavor. It doesn’t hurt one bit that BJ is a heck of a nice guy, I look forward to many years of enjoying his food!

Great job, guys! The flavors are out of this world. I haven’t tasted anything like this in Cincy ever before. The truck can get a long line, because it’s so popular, but I don’t think the wait is any longer than other food trucks. I could seriously see them on one of those food truck competition shows and knocking it out.

This is exactly what you want from a food truck something unique and delicious. Me and my girl friend are obsessed, and look for festivals where red sesame will be.

Good food but get there early! When my co-worker mentioned that Red Sesame’s truck would be on Fountain Square today, we decided to check it out. She is a big fan of their food. I’d never had it. We got to the truck around noon and they were completely out of beef! This tells me two things: 1) The beef must be REALLY good; 2) Get there early if you want to have beef. Luckily, they have other options like: chicken, tofu and veggies. The food was a tad bit expensive $ 7 for two really small chicken tacos and I was still hungry after. These tacos were seriously bite size. Even though they were small, they tasted great and were very fresh. Tip: Check their Facebook page to stay up-to-date on their location.

Delicious food, quick service with a smile, reasonable prices — what else can one ask for! We had the chicken burrito, tacos and quesadilla and it was all delicious hot food topped with special spicy and BBQ sauce. I will highly recommend it to everyone.

I experienced Red Sesame for the first time this weekend at Taste of Cincinnati. Blown away! I couldn’t get enough of the Korean BBQ Chicken Tacos. The perfect combination of flavor and fire!

Tried this at the Taste of Cincinnati this weekend. The beef tacos were TODIE for: a great sauce, very simple and fresh. I plan on hitting up the Taste tomorrow and will be making another stop to try the quesadilla.

I’m always interested in trying any food truck I see and this might be one of the best in Cincinnati right now. Their pork tacos pretty incredible. The pork was juicy and spiced really well. Each bite is packed with flavor and the fresh ingredients put it over the top. Unfortunately, I did not find the quesadilla very good. It’s made on the same size tortilla s the tacos, which when folded in half, makes it incredibly small. This is not necessarily bad, but I had 1 small piece of meat in the center of my quesadilla, so after my first bite, I was just left with a crispy tortilla. Overall the flavor of the tacos makes this place a must try and I’m excited to go back to try the burrito.

So happy they finally came out near my office in Blue Ash! Amazing! And something different than my usual packed lunches :) I got the chicken Korean BBQ tacos. Fresh, little spicy but so yummy. Follow them on Facebook to track down where they are next. A must try! And try again!

I will eat this at food truck any time I see it. A lot of reviews mention the tacos being small, but they make up for size in fillings. You will get as much meat in these as you would in a large, chain-size taco. That being said, they will be messy so don’t skip on the napkin. I enjoy the mini quesadilla; it’s got a delightfully crunchy tortilla. They do put sauce on the outside, so again, prepare. I found $ 8 for 2 tacos & the quesadilla to be fair. The burrito looked pretty large, so the $ 10 burrito/quesadilla combo is also seemingly fair. I would rate higher for flavor alone, but this is kind of a slow truck. Very nice workers, but longer than I usually want to wait. Today’s experience was farther a let down as they told us it would be at least an additional 30 minutes for the steak to be ready. That seems unprepared. Props for showing up at our building in pouring rain though.

Great food truck, this is the kind of fusion you want to see between cuisines. Prices are fair for the portions, but I’d be happy with both being lower. Regardless, the food is always on point. If they’re in your neck of the woods(typically around Blue Ash) then definitely check them out.

How have I not reviewed Red Sesame yet? I must have subconsciously assumed everyone already knows it’s the best food truck in town. These days I usually see the always cheerful BJ serving up a combo of two Korean tacos and a mini quesadilla for around $ 9, both with your choice of meat(no mixing and matching) and a healthy dose of that incomparable Red Sesame sauce. Full disclosure, I have never bothered trying the chicken or tofu because the beef is just too good. It strikes a particular chord for me because it is very close to and nearly as good as my mother’s bulgogi, and my mother’s bulgogi is perfect. It’s a glorious mix of sesame, soy and sweetness wrapped up with romaine and made walkable. If you’re looking to increase the Korean in your Korean Taco, ask for kimchi, ask for it spicy and enjoy. If available, the combo with a mini quesadilla is good complement to the tacos. It’s basically a crunchy, cheesy vessel for more of that beautiful RS Sauce. Save half for sweeping up after your tacos. Despite making no shortage of weekend detours specifically to visit this truck, the limited edition hot dogs and burritos have thus far eluded me. While I can’t personally recommend them, they’re such a rare occurrence that it would be foolish for anyone to pass up the opportunity if they are on the menu.

This is a food truck! Had the combo: two Korean beef tacos and a Korean beef quesadilla. All I have to say is YUM. What?! I wish they had a building so that I didn’t have to track them down. Seriously a must-try!

I’m a little biassed because Red Sesame was always one of the food trucks we had at the Night Owl Market, but his truck was so popular because his food is so gosh darn good! After being away for a year, I had to get me some Red Sesame and it was still as good(if not better) as I remember. I got the tacos and I swear to God, I could drink a tub of that special sauce BJ puts on his dishes. I devoured them in no time.

We got the Burrito combo. It was a ton of food for $ 10. We split it and were both satisfied. Surprisingly the simple quesadilla was my favorite part. The drizzle of Korean BBQ really made it. The burrito was pretty tasty but next time I would try the tacos.

Looking for your food truck fix in Cincinnati, well look no further than the Red Sesame food truck which you can find most week days parked across from Fountain Square on 5th street in front of the Westin hotel. I went with the combo — pork taco, chicken taco and cheese quesadilla, good variety of food, served fresh, fast and hot for you to enjoy right away!

At City Flea at Washington Park, I had to try their special – two tacos and a mini quesadilla. FANTASTIC!!! It was the best food truck food I’d ever eaten, but $ 8 for the tiny portions was a bit steep. i should also mention that there was a mix up in the order(I think a «Jennifer» took mine when«Jim» was called – Jen/Jim…I can understand the mistake), but once recognized, it was promptly fixed and well worth the wait. Later, I checked them out at Taste of Cincinnati. The«special» wasn’t available and the tacos were $ 4 each. Event prices, maybe? It made me sad, because they’re so good, but if I wanted to taste other fare, I would need to skip this. I hope they get their prices in line, because I love this food. Unfortunately, there are better, more affordable meals out there that won’t leave me wanting/needing more. If the price was right, this would easily be a 5-star review.

It’s funny how I was eating food from food trucks in Philly in 1990 and little-by-little, food trucks have gained national attention through Food Network and others. One of my favourite trucks produced what I considered to be the best Chinese food in Philly. I’d often wait 45 minutes for my order, as everything was cooked fresh. Occasionally, there was a Korean food truck, serving BiBimBap, KalBi, and such. Never did I get tacos of any kind there. So, there was this truck in Orange County, California called KogiBBQ and they’re really popular with cultural mixing of food, and that brings me to Red Sesame. Sure, it’s been a while since KogiBBQ first drove up to the curb, opened their truck, and started cooking. However, Cincinnati really needed a kick start whether it was Korean food or something else. I bought two Beef Korean BBQ tacos at Asian Food Fest and they were good. Mind, I missed the good part of Korean BBQ where you’re sitting around the plate cooking your food, and dipping, and talking. Obviously, as a truck, they can’t quite do that. However, the food was good, though the sauce was too, too, too sweet for me. I suppose most westerners love that stuff. I look forward to trying more, and asking for spicy, not sweet. It’s definitely worth a try for anyone wanting to get a taste of Korean food without the scare.
