I am an unapologetic discount shopper. I don’t remember the last time I stepped into a mall, and I live within spitting distance of Arden fair. However, I do like sales associates that have a concept of customer service, a store that doesn’t look like a crime scene, and a parking space in the same county as the store. Have shopped several Stein Mart locations in the area including the new Rocklin location and this one wins on all counts. Clean and organized, dressing rooms big enough to turn around in, nice merch that appeals to my taste and lifestyle, coupons and sales that can save big dollars. Bought a top in Rocklin yesterday and picked up the wrong size by mistake. Got home, called citrus heights and they combed the racks for me to find the right one. No return or exchange issues ever.

When I 1st heard the name Stein Mart– I thought oh no another Walmart/​K-​mart type store. So didn’t check it out when it 1st opened. I wanted to go to Cost Plus & passed by the Stein Mart store– didn’t look bad from the outside– so after shopping at Cost Plus went to check Stein Mart out. Wow – great merchandise at fantastic prices. Especially like their «boutique» section.
Shopping here is like having an outlet mall in one store. You’ll find brands like Betsy Johnson, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Jones of NY, etc. all at below retail price. The merchandise is also nicely displayed.

I had never heard of this place. I shop at Michael’s next door often and had seen this place but I was never intrigued. A few days before Christmas I made a quick stop to see what they had. Once I realized it was like a small department store I went off looking for wine bottle toppers and pretty bottles to make my special holiday Puerto Rican beverages to give as gifts to some wanting to taste this deliciousness. I found a few bottles that were perfect and were less than $ 5.00 each which was perfect.
They have women’s clothing, bedding, shoes, kitchen gadgets, decorative items, perfumes, jewelry and more. Their prices seem decent. I didn’t see anything else that called my name. Clothing wise it wasn’t for me this time. Just not my style.
The cashier was super nice and very helpful. The store was very neat and organized. I’ll definitely stop in again.

I have always shopped at the Rocklin location; this was my first time visiting this one. The workers were REALLY friendly– all of them! Clean and organized (new). I scored an Ivanka Trump Ava purse in black for $ 70!

I have heard of Stein Mart before, but this is the first one in my area. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in. It’s like a miniature department store. They have purses (some expensive brands, along with cheaper brands), jewelry, clothing (for women and men), shoes and housewares. The prices seem to be competitive. I hope they do well in this location. This is something Birdcage has needed for awhile.
