I was craving a hot pastrami sando. I could not wait to sink my teeth into the delicious carnivorous stack of hot peppery meat. And I did just that. Togos is one of my favorite sandwich places because of the pastrami sandwich. I like mine on sourdough with extra mustard. I love it tangy. Tonight I got everything but the sourdough. I ordered sourdough but the roll was white bread. It was missing something but I felt bad for the poor workers in there. Today was the 31st so all scoops of ice cream were 1.31 and it looked like the place was hit by a tornado. Sooo I didn’t bother those poor workers with my bread dilemma. The chips racks were empty and the place needed a good clean up. I will say that usually the place is pretty clean and stocked, tonight was an exception to the normal experience. Togo’s, get more staff on the 31st so that all your workers don’t quit before that special comes around again!!!

Hubby and I came here for some wraps the lady that mad ours had no customer service skills what so ever! She didn’t smile at us at all the entire time. She looked miserable and unhappy. I tried to make small talk but she just looked up at me like I was bothering her. The wrap had clumps of onion she didn’t spread them out evenly and to top it off she didn’t give me the peppers I ordered on the side. Then my husband goes to order a Freeze at the Baskin Robin counter and a different lady went to help him and she had no idea what a freeze was?! My husband told her how to make it and they didn’t even have the sprite to make the drink anyways. This place is a joke. Employees have no idea how to make things or how to offer any kind of service.

I went to college near their original outpost in San Jose, and now I live in SF where they have way too few stores. I have eaten in Togo’s Citrus Height more lately because I am taking care of my elderly Dad who lives there. They outdo Subway in every aspect, and the price reflects. You can coach your sandwich-maker to make exactly the sandwich you want, and they are enthusiastic to make it the jam. I get subs for my Dad and I when I’m in town from here. Super friendly staff, very responsive. Honestly, if you’re trapped in CH, this is an oasis of great service and good food. You do have to search a little to find it in the vast parking lot.

Picked up a couple of sandwiches to go last night around dinner time and brought them home. One, a chicken salad sandwich barely had enough chicken salad to cover the bread. Usually as you bite into them the chicken oozes out the other side. Not this time, definitely not like the pictures they show on the menu. If we wanted a loaf of bread for dinner, we could have just gone to the Safeway next door and saved $ 7. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant.

I thought I’d stop in at my favorite sandwhich food chain. Remembering the citrus heights location I stopped in for a quick bite. This time I ordered the pulled pork bbq sandwhich which everything on it instead of my usual avo and cheese sandwhich. Upon ordering, the sandwhich making staff were conversing to each other in Spanish and didn’t greet me or even acknowledge my presence for a few moments. After Juanita took my order she began making my sandwhich with all the produce included. I mentioned to her that I wanted more red onions since there were like 2 on the entire sandwhich. She then grabbed a huge handful sarcastically and dumped it on my sandwhich. I didn’t refute this at all because it seemed like she was already upset with me. They continued to speak Spanish to one other while she finished my sandwhich. After I paid I didn’t get so much as a thank you or have a nice day instead dirty looks assuming they thought I was a pain in the a**. I would much rather go to a different location next time where they have English speaking staff available.

Was Togo’s pastrami. It was good as usual. Would’ve liked more onions since I requested extra but otherwise a normal sandwich from there. Also enjoyed getting a drink for free for checking in here thanks Unilocal and Togo’s

Unfortunately lately the pastrami has been lukewarm at best. I’ve asked a few times for it to be heated up and just get told that it’s hot enough and reheating it will just over cook the meat. It’s supposed to be a hot sandwich, why doesn’t the cheese even begin to melt? I’ll fix the review once I get a hot sandwich.

I am so glad there is still a TOGO’s around my area, they seem to be going away. Love TOGO’s hope they aren’t going out of business? Must get the Turkey and Avocado with all the veggies! If you really want to go crazy get the bacon on it too!

I was in waiting for my sandwich to get done, a customer complain about the old vegetables. The sandwich I get here sometimes are either too much sauce or less vegetables. Today only two tomatoes.

I remeber the days of going to togos when the food was just so much better. I freqent this location every few months and the qaluality is just not there. The bread seems old and when I order my staple hot number nine the pastrami is really fatty. I think like most run of the mill sandwich shops everyone is cutting corners because of the increase of ingredients thus the quality suffers.

I don’t mind coming here as long as I get the right people. When I go it’s on the weekends and some members of the staff are really sweet and I get good service. Sometimes I get the short guy who is either a manager or supervisor, and he’s gotta go. He speeds through everything like it’s some sort of race… even if you’re the only person there. He gives you the bare minimum for sandwiches AND ice cream(he literally took a small scoop out of my ice cream and put it back because it was«too much»). He’s just all around obnoxious and his poor service brings down my rating of this place.

Very rude staff here!!! I order a tuna sandwich with lettuce and mustard only on a soft roll. I say it twice. What do I get? Tuna, lettuce, tomato, mustard on one of the hardest ‘soft rolls’ I’ve ever had. The staff acted like I was stupid when I brought it back. Refused to refund my money and made me a new sandwich. No apologies. I walked outside and gave the sandwich to a homeless guy – who seemed happy. So that was the only good thing to come out of it.

I’m just about to finish a #25(BBQ Beef) from Togos, leftover from yesterday’s lunch. Looking forward to it, in fact. I’ve been a Togo’s customer since the 70’s, and can always count on great sandwiches and salads. On the BBQ Beef, I’m careful to ask if there’s brisquit still in there, or a «soup» of small bits of beef… If it’s the latter, they always break out more fresh brisquit and make it happen the way I like it. As far as meat on a sandwich, the portions are much more generous than Subway, and with a large, I have another meal to enjoy later(like right now :-) I’ll continue to go back… and since there’s also a Baskin Robbins at that location, I’m sure there will be ice cream involved. Togo’s at San Juan and Greenback ROCKS!
