Camp Withycombe

Now that my husbands Army Reserve unit is now at Camp Withycombe and we have had a few drill weekend’s we are all starting to miss our old home off of Columbia in North Portland. Sense the 671^st has moved we do not feel welcome. The Oregon National Guard has done nothing to make any of the 4 army unit’s feel welcome. They all walk around as if they are better than us, they Say, «this is our building and we are just taking up space». On our drill weekends they have kicked us out of the drill deck, not allowed our people to eat inside. And now we have drill on Dec 10^th and we are doing our Christmas Family day. But Oh no we again are being told that we can’t be in the building because a National Guard General has decided that he want’s to have his Holiday party as well. This is a screwed up place. I can’t even get the key to MY FRG office because no one will tell me who the hell has the damn key. And yes this has me pissed off because I am the FRG for the 671^st and I should be able to lock up my stuff and leave. But no the National Guard wants to control that as well. I really hope someone here get’s a clue. This is not how you treat people, and I don’t give a crap if your Army, Navy, Marine Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard. We are all representing this country in what ever branch you choose to serve in and it does not make you any more important than the other.
