Everyone who lives in Clarence has probably seen this new block on the corner of main and Goodrich. It is pleasant and wonderful for the community. My experience at MB was not like the others who had positive experiences. My drinks were great but food was sub par compared to others places in area. I’m sure it has to do with the fact that it had a limited menu but the selection/taste was not very good. Will def try going to MB for drinks but their food needs some work before i order some more. Nice job so far!

We are so happy Murphy Brown’s has come to Clarence. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and we love how the selection of beers changes and there is always something new. The food never disappoints. We love the cheese board, the Italian sausage and the pretzels. The deserts are a real treat too. We highly recommend that you stop in and try this gem in Clarence.

Beer is good, friendly staff and good tastings. but Growlers are expensive compared to other breweries which is disappointing. Good selection of craft beer in bottles

My boyfriend and I recently went to test drive some cars when we stumbled upon this place along the way. As soon as we were done he wants to go check it out. It’s in a cute new little plaza with a few other shops. We walked in and it was pretty quiet, a couple of men at a tall table and a few couples enjoying some beers at the bar. We were happily greeted by a man and woman who were helpful with the beer selections. The cool thing about this place is that once a beer runs out they don’t tap the same beer, they tap something completely new in replace of it! They were out of a fair amount of them and weren’t tapping anything new until later in the day but there was still a large selection. This is also a beer store, pretty similar to a beer store in PA that I visited not too long ago. They have just about any craft beer you can imagine and even keep a fair amount of them in the cooler. Prices are typical craft beer prices. We also got some food, nothing crazy special, simple burger and flatbread pizza.

This place is legit! If you are a beer fan, it’s worth a visit. They have about 25 beers on tap, as well as a rather decent bottle selection. They offer flights of 3 or 6, as well as assorted sizes(tasters, half pints, pints.) Really pretty and«lodgey» cozy feel inside. Seating at the bar, some tables, windows(café style) and a comfy set of leather chairs on the far side past the beer shelves. Small menu of snacky pub-grub. We had soft pretzels with some spicy mustards. They have six packs and single bottles to go, as well as some chilled. Staff was really friendly too. I plan on returning.

Very cool place. Local flavor. To many beers to choose from! Very very friendly staff… the owners came out and chatted with us. All the food was great! And did I mention the staff?! Very nice crowd… not loud and obnoxious more laid back. Very hospitable. Great place to relax and have a beer or a bite to eat. Fireplace area with sitting chairs is a nice touch. Great atmosphere and great food!

We hosted a small party in the back room here, my husband loves this place and so do I. The beer selection is outstanding and atmosphere is warm and fuzzy. We provided the food for our guests which was tasty and featured pretzels and was affordable. Guests could purchase drinks through the window to the bar while in back room. Only suggestions would be: a printed beer list for folks in back room so they don’t have to walk out to order and a way to plug in an iPod so party throwers can play DJ. We will go back!

Oh my … What a great find! Great beer selection & menu items ordered were all excellent. Owners are«hands-on» & they and staff are very friendly & engaging. Emporium is very spacious w/many tables, nice bar area, and even a secluded spot w/comfy furniture. A very welcoming feel throughout. Wife & I had pretzel sticks, beef burrito, & chicken fajitas — all good. We highly recommend Murphy Brown’s! A++

Had a great experience there. Owner was on site. Really engaging and made me want to come again. Ate a veggie burrito(can’t remember the name) that made me very happy. Husband was also happy. Gave a 5 but admitting I struggled to find a beer that I would like(and I do like the craft beers-just not a fan of IPA)

I have nearly 2 decades in this industry. This place is a gem. The service level is unreal. I had gone once before. I walked in and felt like Norm from Cheers my second time. They were packed too at the time just so the pessimists can get their fix. Both times I went the team was knowledgable and so helpful. The food is out of bounds(to steal Guy’s line) I graduated Validictorian from Le Cordon Bleu and their limited menu is completely on point. The meats are juicy, moist, and perfect. The Brat Pizza is literally a party in your mouth. The flavor profile and contrast is awesome. The food is so consistently on point and cooked by the owner herself. I’m a burger nazi I admit. I had a burger there tonight. no ketchup, mustard, or mayo on it. It was dry on a pretzel roll with Romaione and cheddar. I saw this I was like WTF first fail. I bit into it and the sheer perfection that the burger was cooked to was incredible. So moist, juicy, and properly cooked and seasoned it needed no sauce. I eat Burgers EVERYWHERE, never without some kind of sauce happily, until tonight. Brendan the Beer whiz can create you a wild ride on a flight if you are up for it. A true beer journey. Drew, the husband of the owner, can create you beer mixes to knock your socks off. The reply there when you ask to «taste» a beer or multiple beers is «it is about tasting and finding your like» True service. Now I’ve been in the industry a long time. I talked to Brendan my first visit on a beer that was just amazing I had in my time in Dallas. Today, my second visit, I arrive he remembered me and said 1 moment, he came back with a 4 pack(I never saw it not in a liter at a high price) and said«this is the beer you mentioned» He made my night, well week even. He not only listened to a guy who had indulged some but looked into what I mentioned then brought it in. That to me is dedication to the craft and ultimate customer service. Yes I bought some so happily and am so thrilled to have it with my Turkey dinner as opposed to domestic. This place has the finesse of a big city craft pub but has the homey feel and service of Cheers, My only flaw with the place is I took so long to finally try them. Do not make my mistake. This place is a true gem and Clarence is so lucky to have them.

I’m still thinking of the pizza. amazing to say the least. It was homemade chicken fajita. I love Mexican. I love pizza. And I love them homemade. Put them together, love at first bite, so yeah, ya gotta try it ! The menu was small which I liked. The simpler the better. And that means they can put more love into the things they do make. We talked with the owner most of the time we were there and he was very nice. I’m not a big beer drinker, but I did try one. They had wines as well, but common, who gets wine at a brewery? I forgot the name of the one I had but it tasted like chocolate, and I love chocolate, so it was right up my ally. My friend got a cider and that was really good. They had beer shop connected to the bar– I’m gonna assume they had the beers on tap there to purchase. The place was so cute and cozy. I could go into details but you should just go and visit for yourself ;)

Though the name«emporium» evokes a Willy Wonka-esque vision in my mind, I really did have a great time at Murphy Brown’s last weekend. They’re located in a newer strip plaza on Main Street in Clarence, so there’s plenty of parking. There’s a side room next to the main bar area, used for private events… so when we arrived and the crowd was singing«Happy Birthday», it threw us off a little bit! We weren’t sure if the place was closed for a private function or not. Regardless, we made our way to an open spot at the bar and perused the beer selections. They had 25 taps I believe, many of which were beers I had never had before. My boyfriend and I got a flight of 6 to share. My favorite was the Orkney Skull Splitter Scotch ale, but I also really liked the Founders ReDANKulous Imperial Red IPA(a whopping 10% ABV). Along with the extensive tap list, they also offer a small pub menu– we ordered fries to share. Their fries were okay, but coated too heavily with salt. I did really like the 2 dipping sauces that accompanied the fries however– zesty orange and sweet bourbon mustard(yum!). In addition to being a craft beer bar, they’re also a bottle shop, so it was fun to peruse their selection once we were ready to leave. Comparatively to other bottle shops I’ve been to in the area, the selection was small, but still impressive. Beyond the bottle shop area, there is additional seating available… it’s kind of cut-off awkwardly from the rest of the establishment, but seemed to be a nice place for those with younger children to sit and relax. I think Murphy Brown’s is a great place to casually hang out with a group of friends, while at the same time being exposed to some different beers. I don’t mind that they had TV’s in the bar area… but I hope they don’t steer to much towards being a sports bar, rather than a craft beer destination.

Great atmosphere and beer selection. The hosts were knowledgeable and helped guide everyone with their beer selections. The space was designed well — open but had defined areas for conversation and watching the game. The food was very good, but it’s not a place to go for dinner. The fifth star is for the great service the staff gave — Very accommodating and helpful. Nice addition to a strip of Clarence that really needed a place like this.

Fair selection of beers and super décor, but the pie tasted out of a box and the two men behind the bar weren’t very welcoming and didn’t know much about the beers on tap, for example where the beers were from.

Great addition to the craft beer scene in the Clarence area! The building is upscale and brand new. They carry about 20 to 30 hard to find elite craft beers on tap. Met the owner and he was very helpful and engaging. I’m just stopped in to get a gift certificate but I’m looking forward to stopping back to have a beer and some food.
