Stopped by Summit Auto Spa for an automatic car wash since I had a coupon from getting new tires at the business across the street. When I pulled in, the employees were all hanging out by what appeared to be their personal and friend’s pickup trucks. I had no idea where to go and they all just stared at me as I tried to figure it out. Finally determined where I needed to pull in and a young man finally came over to help me. I gave him my coupon and he had me pull forward and sprayed my car with the high pressure wand like most automatic car washes do. Sent me through the wash and I was not impressed by the machinery. Much of it appeared to be home built from PVC pipes and fittings with holes drilled into it. The soft scrubbers looked really worn and didn’t move much, just bounced up and down slightly as you passed through. Machinery needs an upgrade. The worst part, however, was the hand drying at the end. Two of the teenagers came from oggling their pickups to wipe my car down. They finished and I drove off after giving them a tip(there’s a big bucket that says tips thank you at the end, very tacky in my opinion). When I got home I saw all the lint. I have a black car and it showed the bright white lint from their drying towels very clearly. What self respecting«detail shop» would use cheap cotton towels? I can not imagine paying $ 90 for their professional detail package after seeing how they are cutting corners on simple things like drying towels. See my pictures for better idea of the lint.
