Simple food, nothing off-the-wall great, but I like the friendliness of the staff.

Great fast service! Friendly. Nothing spectacular or different that makes it standout as far as breakfast.

My first visit here and I can say the food was very good. Nice and clean inside the only downfall is that it is really loud from all the window units going and it being a little warm inside. The food was good for being home cooked. I will say they charge a little too much for the kids mac n cheese, they serve it in a very small bowel. My kid ended up eating off plate. Our waitress was very nice, it was just hard to ear her from all the window units and people talking. I can say I would return.

Moss’s Southern Cooking is a very cute, idyllic, classic American Southern-place with very friendly staff who constantly runs around and fills up your coffee. Even though the service is great, the food is just good. Nothing to complain about, it’s just a bit… plain. It’s simply just good. I had biscuits, an egg and a pancake, with the pancake being the best thing on my plate. My brother had country ham which looked delicious, and he said it was the best ham he ever had! I would not come back to Moss’s for the food, but for the comforting, simple atmosphere which gives you a genuine American experience.

The restaurant is simple, comfortable, and clean. The food is decent(not too spicy, not too greasy, well seasoned; but nothing special.) The real reason people return is the service. The staff is kind, sweet, and quick to please. I use this restaurant a ton for meetings, because the environment is so perfect for a great breakfast. It’s quiet and the food isn’t too bad.

Great service and staff. Small but comfortable inside. Very clean and the food was great. Dumplings, BBQ, and all the other great southern comfort foods at good prices. A huge assortment of sides to choose from. Daily specials at awesome prices. And the coffee is good and strong too.

Friendly staff — that’s about the best thing I experienced on this stop. First time here, so I asked the server for a suggestion, she said the chicken & dumplings«are amazing» — it’s NOT, in fact it was about as thin as water and tasteless… more like over boiled chicken shreds. For sides, I choose white beans, carrots & mac ‘n cheese. it appears that the kitchen does not believe in seasonings, or slotted spoons. I left most of this tasteless meal on the plate, paid my bill and left. Not sure how they manage to keep busy, but of the meat &3 places I have tried since coming to TN — they are at the bottom of the list on taste & presentation.

This is, by far, the best«meat and three» restaurant in Clarksville. I’ve been eating there with my 86 year old Dad 3 – 4 times a week for several years, and the food is always fresh, well-cooked, well-seasoned, and plated very well. The wait staff is courteous, well-versed in the menu offerings, never let your drinks get low or run out. The kitchen staff occasionally come out into the dining room, and they are always nice and friendly. The two ladies that usually run the cash register are always friendly and courteous. I would love to recommend a specific item, but can’t, as they are all good. Worth a side trip from Nashville or I-24 any day(except Sunday, when they are closed).

If you like southern cooking this place for you. The cornbread is a sweet southern corn sticks that come hot to your table while you wait for your food. There are daily specials just like grandma use to fix. I have been going there for many years. It is my 10 year olds favorite place to eat. It reminds me of grandmothers cooking. Everyone is friendly and they are great with kids.

This place is a joke… poorly managed… arrived for breakfast… and waited an hour for our food, yes… an HOUR for eggs and ham and hasbrowns… while we watched several tables come in after We did, order their food, get their food, eat their food, and leave… before we received ours. The manager(older lady with shoulder length blonde hair) walks around with a permanent scowl on her face, extremely rude… blames waitresses for everything(not their fault… the waitress who seated us came to our table several times to apologize for the kitchen delay), manager could care less… I don’t know if she’s just a bigot(I was with my son who is half black) or whether she is just a B… but SHE and the kitchen are the downfall of this place, not the waitresses… when we saw our waitress leaving at the end of her shift, my son ran outside to give her a tip(didn’t want to leave it at the table, as I suspect the manager would have taken it)… I did hear the manager tell others«thank you and have a great day, come again… Yada Yada, but we received nothing but a scowl as she took my money… may be southern cooking, but NOT southern hospitality from her!
