Senor Iguanas

Wife ordered taco salad which had about 10 strands of cheese in it. Wife asked for some cheese they charged us additional for the cheese. Food was nothing to shout about we will never be back.

Señor Iguanas. Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. First of all, they give you a white salsa along with regular salsa when you first sit down. It is deliciously different. Secondly, you can tell the workers are proud to work at Senny G’s. And lastly, the food is absolutely perfect. It’s a little more pricey than competing Mexican restaurants, but it’s easy to taste why. The quality is far more superior than the competition. Go on in and try it for yourself.
It’s never too busy and don’t let that fool you. They kind of have a bad location. It’s the best hidden restaurant I’ve ever found.

After almost two years of avoiding this location, I decided to give it another try. The last time I was in the food was awful. This time I can say the food was great! The only downside is that the service was horrible.
We were seated immediately but didn’t get our drink order taken for at least 10 minutes. It took forever for us to get the cheese dip that we ordered as well as more chips. However, the food still made my experience here great!

The only thing that kept me from giving this restaurant 5 stars is that our server, Joshua, didn’t seem very happy. Never smiled one time the entire time we were there.
On to the food. …EXCELLENT! ! I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican food and the chicken enchiladas suiza was the best I’ve ever had! Being from Arizona, there are plenty of Mexican restaurants. I couldn’t believe how wonderful they were!
My husband and I have found our Indiana Mexican restaurant! We will be back, for sure!

The décor was perfect not over done. The waiter was nice and prompt. The chips was warm which is a plus in my standards and the salsa was very good.
I ordered the original torta and this sandwich was awesome… have had it at other places and this one tops the list.
The second thing I ordered was the Al Pastor Taco and it was awesome, very flavorful and the soft corn wraps where delicious.
The third thing I ordered was a side of rice, very good not awesome but tasteful.
I would go here again if I was in the area…

Waiter refused to substitute guacamole for sour cream on a fajita. Ordered the fajita without sour cream, sour cream was still covering the lettuce. Had to order new lettuce. Food was brought out one at a time over about 10 minutes. Waiter refused to honor a $ 5 off coupon because of the fact that we ordered waters instead of soft drinks and therefore our meals were not considered «meals.»

What a disappointment! Maybe one star isn’t fair as I have eaten here before and the food is really good. However, tonight I went to Señor Iguanas to order a carry out and could not even get someone to wait on me. I walked in and was ignored by the multiple employees that were working. Finally I asked if I could place a carry out order and was told I could at the front counter. So I went to the front counter, waited for the folks in front me to pay their bill and then watched the girl walk away and ignore me completely. No one working even questioned or inquired why a guy was standing at their front counter. Not a single employee offered to help me or wait on me. Business must be pretty good if you can afford to ignore customers. We are soon to be moving to the area and will gladly not visit this place again or recommend it to folks. I was ignored and left. Went to Chuy’s less than a couple of miles away, ordered as soon as I walked in and was out of there in less than 15 minutes. Hey Señor Iguanas, you might learn something about customer service. No matter how good your food may be, poor customer service ruins everything.

The service was ok, as well as my meal had a enchilada chicken sauce was good chicken not as good .I also had combination of pork and steak Fajitas the pork was very good, steak was ok at best way to much portion only 3 small flour tortillas for huge portion of meat, I would probably not eat hear again not as bad as a few others said but not worth trying again

Been here twice and the first time wasn’t that great but the second time was worst. Service is good at the bar but chips weren’t warm and tasted straight out the Costco bag.
First trip got the pork carnitas which were tender but no flavoring. But this was much better than the Chimichanga. Only could finish half of it. The rice and beans are better.
If you don’t want a fancy mixed drink and can handle something simple like a whiskey and coke u found tyro pours to be heavy which I like. Only reason they are getting two stars.
Totally irritated I wasted my appetite on this place.

This has ALWAYS been one of my favorite local spots but after tonight i want to know what happened within management that caused the entire establishment to go downhill. Service was beyond terrible — an hour was lost attempting to have dinner. The quality of food is not what it once was either. The worst part was ordering a banana burrito to go only to get it home to discover it was frozen, drown in whipped cream, missing the cinnamon & sugar tortilla as well as the chocolate. Every other time I’ve had it – its hot, in a yummy shell, drizzled in chocolate & caramel with a touch of whip cream.
I’m embarrassed that i brought out of town company to this establishment.

Love the sauce that comes with the fresh tortillas and fajitas were very good but if you’re looking for a great coctail this is not the stop! I was craving a mojito especially after seeing the drink menu featuring a photo of a traditional looking clear mojito with lime and fresh mint mottled in a rocks glass. What was served looked to be the color of a long island ice tea with a sprinkling of dried mint floating on the top. There was no garnish either. It was very obvious on taste that it was a poor quality, too sweet mojito mix with too much soda. It was literally the most unappealing drink I have ever seen or tasted. A Mexican establishment should be truly ashamed to serve that!

This is NOT authentic Mexican food by any means and the management is very poor. I am pretty easy to please but have to give this place my honest review. I love Mexican food and know what a tortilla should taste like. Our waiter was completely negligent. The tortilla for my taco was so stale it was inedible. The filling was ok so I wanted to try it on a new tortilla. The manager and our waiter avoided us. A different waiter finally came over to help us. It took forever but our waiter finally came back with my new food in a to-​go container as I asked because it took so long to get helped we were ready to walk out but he had the the bag tipped so my food was messed up. My husband’s enchilladas were just ok. Fairly bland. The manager who talked to other tables didn’t stop at ours. We were given a small discount but very little in the way of an oppology for the poor service and the old stale tortilla. I am being generous by giving this place 2 stars.

This is buy far the best mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. Everyone is so friendly. Jason and all of them are the BOMB!!!

Seriously, do not eat here. The food is inedible and the alcohol swill. I had the Tacos Traditionales – carne asada, al pastor and chicken. Terrible. God I wish I had not done that. Anything is better than this place. Oh, and the flying bugs… not so much.

The spicy pork tacos meal is where it’s at! Tender spicy pork atop double corn tortillas topped with onions and cilantro and a side of tomatillo sauce… I want more just thinking about it.

This place used to be the spot! Ever since the renovation and I’m guessing new ownership, it’s completely changed. The food tastes different not nearly as good as it used to be. The service is not as good and today when I went, will be my last time. I’m over it. It took forever to get our drinks and the restaurant was pretty much empty, when we asked for more chips and salsa (because the salsa was in a little butter cup), it took him 10 minutes to bring it. Food took forever when it arrived, my soup was warm not hot, my husbands quesadilla was not good, and they charged me a dollar for a side of fresh jalapeño w/​o telling me. Really a jalapeño? So WACK, not going back.

This location has recently undergone massive renovations to the interior and exterior. They have also rolled out a brand new menu. The renovated interior is warm and comfortable with tall backed leather booths and polished wood surroundings. The new menu still has many of the old staples like my favorite, the enchiladas suzias with verde sauce. However, it also has dishes that can be customized like nachos, burritos, and combination meals. I found the new menu to be refreshing and innovative. My very picky boyfriend enjoyed being able to customize exactly which ingredients he wanted in his meal.
If you haven’t been to Señor Iguanas since they renovated I recommend stopping by. Their new menu has certainly raised the bar for Mexican cuisine in Southern Indiana.

I have never written a negative review and feel bad about doing so… BUT I have no choice. I ordered the taco and burrito combo. I did ask if i could have shredded beef and was informed it was not an option. What was delivered to me was some form of poor quality ground beef saturated in some form of sauce. (Think sloppy joe in a tortilla). I attempted a bite and was repulsed. Other issues… The benches in the booths are either ripped with stuffing showing or falling apart. The server tho nice was extremely inefficient and not paying attention. Requested silverware 3x and had to repeatedly ask for the check.
I gave the restaurant one star b/​c the salsa was fabulous. I love fresh cilantro in salsa. If you are looking for a cold beer and salsa give it a try but avoid the beef tacos.

Señor Iguana’s has seen better days. At least I’m hoping that it isn’t standing proudly in all its glory. The restaurant looks faded and sad as though it is slowly giving way to the tons of exhaust from the highway off ramp just outside its doors. I had to sling my foot under my backside to prop me up to the table as the springs in my side of the booth had given up the ghost.
Standard for Mexican restaurants, a basket of chips (of the thicker tortilla variety) arrives promptly at your table along with a bowl of salsa and a small dish of white sauce. I still don’t know what the white stuff was, but it tasted like Essence de la Cool Ranch Doritos. The entrée’s were alright. I had the Especial la Casa hoping for the best. The steak was good though fatty, the chicken dry. The vegetables (cactus, onion and tomato) had excellent flavor, as did the beans with more spice than I’m used to; very tasty.
The service was excellent. Our waitress was very cheerful, polite and helpful, came by to check on us a number of times, though not excessively.

A group of 5 of us had a very nice meal here. The portions were decent, the quality of the food was very good and the service was fast and friendly. The size of the beer mug is amazing… HUGE…and the beer was good too. If back in the area again, I’d definitely come here again.
