This is actually located in Clayton Missouri which is in St. Louis County(which is not in St. Louis City which is not in a county). Anyway, when staying at one of the fine hotels in downtown Clayton such as Crowne Plaza Saint Louis — Clayton, this is within walking distance for needs such as what ever you forgot to bring with you. Massive selection of magazines(don’t recall seeing this many magazines anywhere in the US and didn’t know people still buy paper publications). Toothpaste and shaving cream, covered. Local brands of potato chips like Old Vienna and ice cream like Blue Bunny. They got your back. Cigarettes are insanely expensive and what I found to be surprising is that with an inventory of what looked like $ 750,000 worth of magazines and books in a corner C-Store with two entrances and a register on each side, they don’t carry camera memory sticks. But the friendly staff was helpful with directions to find the Best Buy in St. Louis and how to get there by trains. Great store, friendly staff.

If you’re looking for an extensive magazine selection then this is the place to visit. You can’t find more choices of magazines in St. Louis. There is a convenience store attached the magazine/newspaper/book side of the shop. I like that the shop is open until 10PM most nights and is in a highly trafficked corner of Clayton.

OK Guy’s… have to chime in on World News. If you are into mags from all over the world, then there is a good chance that will find it here. I happen to be a classic VW fan and there are several magazines out of the UK that I haven’t been able to find since moving here from California. Sure enough… found here at «World News.» Now be sure you will pay a premium for one of these magazines but I will say it’s no more then I would have paid on the west coast. So if you are looking for a nice selection of magazines that you normally not find at one of the«bookstore chains» then give World News a shot.

This place is for those who still love to hold the thing they read and actually turn the page, yes boys and girls, there once were these things call magazines, and people did not have to plug them in to read them. They pretty much have it all here, it’s really a world of magazines and news papers, and if you want to get the New Orleans sunday paper, you can order it and they will have it for you. Lots of choices here and even some books and of course, the usual snack bar stuff, all in the heart of Clayton.

Nice little store stocked with all kind of stuff. I brought my post cards here for 40 cents each. They did not have the local NYC papers, but he did have the NY Times. I brought a bottle of 20 Tylenol for $ 5.99. The guy at the counter was friendly. They have 10 cents candy(use to be the penny candies) They have a soda machine – 42 oz. of Coke for $ 1.49.

Because they charge New York City prices for their cigarettes, I am tempted to down this one star… but I just can’t because, well, maybe that keeps me from smoking and that’s a good thing. This place has everything. There is not a paper or magazine this place is lacking. Anytime I am about to leave town I come here(not Borders, not Barnes and Noble, and certainly not the Hudson News at the Airport) to stock up on my magazines for the flight. There is yet to be a magazine I can’t find on these shelves. Also, great convenience store for any little extra needs to you might have during the day and need to swing by and pick up. The guy working the counter is great too. Super friendly and funny if you get him talking.

The name says it all. If you want something that’s not from around here, you can most usually find it at World News. I go here to browse all the food magazines, many of which can’t be found in Borders or Barnes and Noble. I love supporing a non-chain, especially one with such taste in journalism. They have a wide selection of nearly every type of magazine category, even many in other languages. One side of the store is readable and the other is edible, filled with typical convenience store items. The Clayton location is my favorite spot, and judging by the foot traffic in the place, I’m not the only one.
