I hate to be Debbie Downer, but this is not going to be a good review I’m afraid. My husband and I arrived for a late lunch, wanting to try this place out. We were seated in a room with pink tablecloths, little pink figurines, a China display, you get the picture. Really feminine and gaudy. Our water glasses smelled like bleach. I thought maybe it was the water so I got an iced tea(no refills). Still the bleach smell. We had a little salad with raspberry vinaigrette. No other dressing choices. It was fine. Just not a fan of that dressing. Then the sandwich. They had 4 choices that day. We had looked online and had seen these great looking thick bread slices on their sandwiches. My husband got the chicken salad that was supposed to have grapes and nuts in it but they ran out, served on a croissant. The chicken was boring and kind of gamey. I got a ham and cheese also on the croissant. Damn! I wanted good bread! Mine wasn’t deli ham but thick slabs grilled with a piece of yellow processed cheese on it and an anemic tomato slice and a bit of lettuce. We each had a side of coleslaw which was, in fact, good. It had a tangy cream sauce on it. It’s the same slaw you get pre-packaged at the store though. I guess I expected some awesome fresh slaw that I can’t get at home. It was a tiny bit of slaw served in a plastic pink dish. Enough with the pink! Ugh! So we were told we get a cupcake as part of the meal, so I ordered lemon-lime and my husband ordered chocolate peanut butter. What arrived were squares of cake with a dollop of frosting. Mine was a bright yellow with some kind of maybe lime sauce poured over it and then covered with cool whip. As I kept eating I got to a different color of cake that turned out to be half of a dry, airy white cupcake! So strange! The chocolate«cupcake» /brownie was drenched in chocolate syrup(like Hershey’s in the squeeze bottle) with a gross glob of some peanut butter whipped stuff and then they covered it in cool whip too. It was a surreal experience in this supposedly farm to table restaurant. I will never go there again.

Probably one of the cutest places around the area. Shop a little, enjoy farm to table food and then load your car up with beautiful plants. Nice selection of plants from Stillwater Gardens a separate business, I think. For the restaurant the menu is simple but the food is excellent. Would even be a good place to grab lunch if you are traveling I-35 and like to avoid fast food. ++they serve wine and the desserts are great!
