Lake Coffee And Ice Cream

Coffee is great here. I love Sandy and Mrs. Wagner. Always great to see there smiles. There is a drive through in the back for convenience too! Can get a triple shot latte in many place in NI from a drive through.

We had root beer floats at this locally owned establishment. They had lots of hand scooped ice cream in them and s full can of root beer. Yummmmm.

This has become our go to place for ice cream when we’re up this direction. The store is combo wine bar, ice cream shop and coffee house. They get mad props for being the only place to serve decent coffee past 6 pm most weekends and with ice cream to boot, it’s worth stopping in as often as you like!
Around 20 ice cream flavors are at your disposal, most of which are worth trying. The Michigan pot hole is a chocolate mess and simply divine! The bear claw is another must try with chocolate covered cashews — word to the wise, get it in a cup as the nuts make the melting point lower and it gets messy quick.
The coffee here is excellent as well. Three types of drip, plenty of tea and espresso drinks for those that like coffee with their syrup.
The most unique aspect here is the wine selection. They have wines from all over Iowa with displays talking about the locations and the Vinters. I had no idea there were so many wineries in small towns across the state and this place gives you chance to expand your knowledge base about what’s around here and elsewhere.
All in all, a worthwhile place to stop regardless of if you’re looking for hot, cold or wine.

Great, locally owned store. Nice selection of local Iowa wines, wine tasting on Saturdays. Great, hard ice cream in a multitude of flavors, sizes, and preparations. Have not tried the coffee that they make there. But my family and I love to go in, the atmosphere is wonderful. Worth the visit!
