What a joke this place is, I had gone to this hospital for an MRI on my ankle late last yr. I called 3 different places to find out where it would be cheaper to go, the lady I spoke with at St helena clearlake told me that my whole appt was going to cost $ 180, so I made an appointment and paid that amount that day over the phone. When I went to my appt, they were over an hour past due on appts. The MRI tech came in called my name and took me OUTSIDE behind the hospital into a TRAILER … scary … I was by myself with a strange man in a trailer. Very very uncomfortable. Anyways the worst part of it all was about a month after my appt I got a bill for $ 1,200 !!! I have been trying to fight with them about this bill for over 6 months now, they will not take responsibility and say what the lady gave me over the phone was a quote ! Well first off I would have waited till the first of the year to go for this appt so that it would have gone toward 2016 deductible, if I would have known it was going to cost me $ 1,200 … so what kind of quote is it if your over $ 1000 off? That’s alot of money, not to mention we lost our house and everything we owned in the Valley Fire. These people don’t care, they just want the money, they don’t care who they screw over. Please please make sure to double check with your insurance before going to these snakes !

Come here only if you want to dine don’t plan on being seen for a couple hours. I brought my six-month-old baby and waited there for two hours and did not see one person. They were extremely rude to me when I go to complain acted like they didn’t give a shit.

This hospital used to be Redbud Hosp. or to the locals«Deadbud Hospital» My husband had been admitted on an emergency basis and had a terrible experience. St Helena Hospital bought it — 100% improvement! A few days ago I had a severe gall bladder attack and my pain was a 10! The folks in emergency got me right in a room and started working on reducing the pain. I was admitted @ 3:00 am the following morning. The staff I encountered was amazing. The nurses were on it. I have had elective surgery in the past but this was my first emergency surgery. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The Dr. was the best. The surgical nurse and my nurses were the best. When you are in that much pain and scared it really eases the tension when you are looked after so incredibly well. I would have no problem recommending this hospital. The fine people I encountered really love their job, and it shows.
