I was in Clearlake for business and felt like Chinese food was the meal of the day. I was stunned to find out that the restaurant has closed down for good. Kind of a shame. There have been lots of good reviews.

The food is decent although it’s not the best Chinese food in the area. The service was also pretty great. It’s still enjoyable but the last time I went, we found two flies in our Chow Mein. Still haven’t went back since then.

This was a great restaurant, good food, good service, and the feeling of eating with family!!! Ruby is a jewel of a waitress and understood what we wanted that wasn’t on the menu… Such a wonderful experience!!!

Don’t know what has happened since 2012 but we tried this place and it was terrible. The soup had zero flavor, tasted like they had put a bowl of hot water with a few veggies in it, we couldn’t eat it. The rest of the food was tasteless. Save your money go somewhere else.

Great find! Very elegant inside, with a beautiful view of the lake. Took my wife for lunch, and we had the whole place to ourselves. The eggrolls were very fresh and hot. They were filled mostly with cabbage, and I wish they had some meat, but they were still good. They were accompanied by a red sweet and sour sauce which was good. My wife had the garlic prawns which had a generous amount of shrimp, and plenty of veggies. The sauce was very flavorful, a bit sweet and spicy, and not overly garlicy. I hate garlic and I still enjoyed it. I got the kung-pao chicken. I liked that it was not breaded and fried like other popular choices. It was spicy, savory, and peanutty. The service is great. They didn’t constantly hover over us even though we were the only customers at the moment. But they were very friendly, happy to describe menu items to us, and they always made sure our glasses were never empty. I only tip when I feel it has been earned, and they definitely deserved it. If my pregnant wife has anymore Chinese food cravings, I know where to go.

This place might be a bit spooky looking on the outside, but inside you’ll find some of the best Chinese food north of San Francisco. Their noodles are perfect and their egg foo yung is a work of art. The ambiance of the restaurant is charming with a beautiful view of Clear Lake.

My husband and I were staying at a resort in the area, so we decided to try this place out. The burger place across the way looked busy while this place was fairly empty. I did not have high hopes, but we took a chance and walked in. Inside was an empty restaurant with Chinese music being piped in. We sat by the windows lakeside and wondered why the restaurant didn’t have outdoor seating. We realized later that there are lots of bugs from the lake and there are seasons when the lake smells terrible, so that’s probably why. The restaurant is owned by a Taiwanese family. I ordered the garlic shrimp lunch special, while my husband ordered a vegetable dish. We had hot tea with our meal, and we asked our waitress about the area. I enjoyed the sauce on my garlic shrimp. The lunch special came with an egg roll and fried rice. We were both very happy with our meal. As we were eating another group came in, and they were surprised at the quality of the food, too. The restaurant façade is very deceiving. You expect a greasy chop suey house. Instead you find an authentic Chinese restaurant. My husband was happy to find this place. He thanked the chef later for a good meal. I would definitely return for another meal here. On Fridays they have a lunch buffet. We’ll keep that in mind next time we visit the area.

What a pleasant surprise this place was. The area and the outside of the building made me wonder about the restaurant but inside was clean and nice looking with a beautiful view of the lake from all tables with indoor and outdoor seating available. The food was very yummy; the mandarin chicken was among the best I’ve had with none of those hard pieces you often find in this type of dish. Oh and the rice was so fresh tasting! I will definitely return when back in the area.

Wow, what a surprise this place is! On the outside it looks like a bar and the search showed that it had a full bar, but the bar portion is closed off and now it is just a restaurant. It is very clean and nice inside and has a view of the lake. The woman who took our order and rang us up, was VERY friendly, nice and welcoming. We got Kung Pao chicken, Mandarin chicken, pork fried rice, and egg rolls. Everything was very tasty! Will definitely go back, if in the area again. Don’t let the outside looks fool you, cause it is good Chinese food!
