Loved it! My son and I had lunch here yesterday and it was delicious. We had sushi and a bento box with chicken. The chef gave me a sample of the amazing plum wine and I am now a fan. It’s a small family run place in downtown Clearwater and they are very friendly and do what they can to make you feel welcome. I, stupidly, forgot my purse they chased me down the block to return it. We will be back.

I came here last night wit my boyfriend. When we got there only about 6 other people were in the restaurant and it looked like 2 waiters. We picked a table and sat down after standing and wondering for like 15 seconds on if it was seat yourself. No one said anything so we just sat. We were at the table for about 5 – 10 minutes before we got menus. There was even another table that came after but got menus before us. After having the menu for like 5 min we got asked what we wanted to drink. We also asked the what a certain special on the board was about– Hamachi Jalapeño and got told he didn’t know but would find out. When he came back we ordered. The menu had a fair amount of options but it didn’t really describe some of the food well enough. I ended up googling as I knew the waiter wouldn’t know. I ordered the spicy ramen. When asking what was in the seafood option he said«assorted types of seafood». I didn’t press and just went with it and my boyfriend ordered the Tomkatsu. We ended up getting the spicy ramen in like 10 – 15 and not even the sake we ordered yet. While we were waiting there was now about 4 other tables of people. Periodically a roll or other food would come out and the wait staff had no clue what table it was for and would ask all the tables. The table behind us even complained to the waiter and he was arguing with them which caused the sushi chef(assume the owner) to come out. We eventually got our Tomkatsu and it was really good. The food was great but the service was pretty bad. If that improved I would be willing to try again since I did enjoy what I ate.

Giving 3 stars instead of 2 because I wanted to like this place so much. It’s so adorable and it’s a Mom & Pop which I’m all about supporting. But I couldn’t. First off, I didn’t get asked to order drinks. I had to ask 5 min after he took our order. Second is after I got my water I realized our miso soup hadn’t come yet and so I had to ask our waiter for that too which he was not going to bring otherwise. Third, the sushi rolls were so small it was ridiculous. They were 8 very small pieces. Fourth, our food took 20 min which normally be fine. However the couple who sat down after we got our Miso soup got their food at the exact same time. Also, it was only half our order! Fifth, I finally asked about our other half a couple minutes after I finished my sushi and he said they were about to make it!!! Then why did the couple who came way later get their full meal before mines even made? Sixth, our friends wanted food also so we placed a to go order for them after we got our second part of our order. That’s when the waiter tells us they don’t have salmon. I’m sorry, then what did I eat in 2 of my sushi orders??? I asked and he said they would have just put in whatever fish they had back there!!! Excuse me? I certainly hope not! What if I was allergic?!? Luckily he was just ill-informed. So no, I’m sorry I could not like this place. On top of everything else, I’m still so hungry. 2 rolls has always filled me up at every sushi place I’ve been to. And this place only has like 6 tables yet I’ve been here almost an hour ½ just due to waiting for food. As I’m new to town I hope not all sushi places are like this.

This place has a lot of potential and I really wanted it to be good as it’s a new establishment. But unfortunately the service needs a lot of work. My Fiancé and I have been here for 1 hour and 10 minutes and we only ordered a combined 4 rolls and 2 miso soups. After close to 15 minutes after ordering we politely asked if we could get our miso. The miso was great. Then the wait for our food… Two rolls were brought out and the waiter didn’t identify which was which. This happened for the remaining two rolls(which came a staggering 10 – 15 min later). Sadly, we were still hungry and a friend had also text me to pick up some sushi for him. We placed an order for a Salmon roll and others. The waiter told me they were out of salmon. I then inquired what fish was used for my roll as well as my lady’s. He laughed and said«I don’t know. Some substitute fish». This was now becoming very unpleasant. Anyway, don’t want to ramble on but more happened and we left very displeased. I hope they get better staff or train current staff better. The spot is nice and has potential. But it was intolerable.

Vamos voltar!

I ate dinner at Fuku 3 nights this week, & the weekend is just starting! Everything I ordered exceeded my expectations! The crab shumai-steamed, ramen with pork(which included a perfectly cooked egg,) leo roll, udon noodles with shrimp & vegetable tempura, mackerel nigiri, rainbow roll, & especially the spicy ramen with seafood, all delivered! The menu is perfect… just enough dishes to know they serve fresh specialties! I can’t wait to try everything on the menu at this charming & quant downtown Clearwater gem!

I don’t know Tony N(see older reviews), but it seems his experience and mine were similar. I ordered the shoyu ramen with beef and it was just okay. The bowl came out and it looked beautiful, however one bite in I had an overwhelmingly porky flavor. I chose the shoyu broth because it’s supposed to be chicken based. I added the chili oil and that did a decent job of masking this pork flavor, the beef was not great. It wasn’t seasoned well and very chewy. The noodles themselves I enjoyed. The service was a bit odd, every time I would ask my server a question the other server in the back would pipe up and speak. They were both sweet, just a bit odd with the conversation thing. The space however is beautiful. Its nice and quaint and beautifully decorated. There are nice little touches here and there without the décor being overbearing. I won’t run back to this place, but I definitely won’t dismiss them quite yet… maybe in a few months I can update this review to a few more stars.

Fuku is very nicely cute restaurant. The owners are the chef and manager husband and wife team. This restaurant has some characters that is pleasant to gather here. We have a group of 7 was easily seated comfortable. Our food is came out rather quick. We have a spicy ramen to share. I like miso soup base ramen here. It is not too salty. The ramen is cook perfectly. The garnish is nice and they have fish cake in this ramen other than thin slice of pork. We have order the spicy tuna, sashimi and sushi combination, shumai, and the softshell crab bento box. Some good some average. I like my experience here, the food is good value in downtown area. The service is good. I like this mom and pop shop that show the local color. This is good restaurant to have in this area.

I only got a rainbow roll and unagi roll, nothing fancy, but the sushi wasn’t that great. Not bad, just not great.

FuKu Bich Nga. These are the names of two restaurants in Pinellas. FuKu serves up homey Japanese ramen, sushi, bento boxes, shumai, and other goodies in a comfortable downtown Clearwater restaurant. There’s a lil sushi bar and comfortable tables in a hip atmosphere artfully decorated space. Service was friendly and accomodating. The décor and lighting is modern, fun, and inviting. The food was very good. Good value. I was happy. Several types of ramen are offered. Lunch specials. Bento boxes including salmon and softshell crab. The batter on the softshell crab was thick for me. But still tasty. I love bento boxes!!! The shumai were crispy outside and hot /moist inside. We had the spicy ramen and it was very good and tasty. Rich. Good ingredients like shrooms, fatty pork, egg, seaweed, and crisp.

We went there Saturday for the first time… very good! They have a quite big selection of food, and you can find something to eat even if you don’t like sushi. We got two bento box(salmon and beef) and they were both tasty, good presentation and definitely enough for a meal. The place is not that expensive either so I am sure I’ll go get lunch there more often. The owner is very friendly and the staff explained very well everything on the menu. The chef(who is the owner’s husband) has been making sushi for 12 years so he knows what he’s doing. They should also have a kind of sushi where they use veggies instead of the rice, in case you don’t wanna eat too many carbs. great idea! Long story short. if you are in the area go check it out at least once cause it’s really worth it!

This new place got beautiful interior design and the sitting was comfy. Among all the dishes we tried, the spicy pork ramen grabbed my attention. This was the only ramen broth I had not in the extremely salty side. Instead it’s a bit sweet with just hind of spiciness. Noodle, pork, egg, vetget, fish cake were all cooked properly. The food came out fast and the presentation was beautiful. The material tasted fresh and the portion was good. The services were attentive. The owner said they will add more deserts and sake items in the future and wish us come back to try them.

Moved up to 4 stars from 3 after trying out some Tampa ramen spots. I wished the Bay Area upped their food game. Decent ramen for 13 bucks. Broth was good noodles were ok. Doesn’t seem like fresh made noodles but still good. It wasn’t piping hot like I like my soups. Egg could have been better. It was almost hard boiled. I’ll be back in to try the spicy ramen and sushi out and adjust my rating from there. Read the reviews before I came in. The server dude is kinda weird. Hot tea is usually served unsweetened in an Asian restaurant and everyone involved in that conversation knew that but him. He also didn’t know what was in a spider roll… I guess the guy asking him didn’t either but he didn’t work there. The female server seemed way more knowledgeable and was a pleasure.

The Cleveland Street Roll was delicious! It was huge and fed both of us easily. We also got the philly roll(normal/large size) and the ginger salad had real ginger on top. Yum!

We got a brand new waiter, nice but he had no idea what he was doing and not knowledgeable of the menu. Owners where unprofessional and standoffish. Unagi roll was pretty good. I will not be returning.

Yaki niku!!! Awesome! I got the one bento box that includes yaki niku(Japanese beef), rice, gyoza, sushi(with avocado, cucumber, and«krab»). It also comes with a small salad and soup. Gotta say, I enjoyed it all(except I passed over the sushi because that’s not my thing). Have I mentioned how much I liked the beef? Very tender and flavorful. I want a whole plate of it next time I go. The gyoza was also great. The soup and salad were also tasty. The green tea was the weak point of the meal. It lacked flavor but I appreciated the refills on it. They have various kinds of ramen for all you ramen aficionados, sushi, various bento boxes and more(see the menu I posted which may be updated). The décor was modern Japanese — I liked all the details they put into making it modern yet cozy yet Japanese. Wish they were in Tampa so I could visit more often…
