Suzies Hideaway Cafe & Grill

Awesome food. Its also called Suzie’s hide away now. Great atmosphere, great staff. Beer and wine on the patio is a favorite of ours after work.

This place survives because it in an office park where the construction on US19 prevents anyone except the die-​hard from leaving the property to go get lunch. A captive audience, if you will. Anyway…
The food is relatively bland and I believe that everything comes right out of a can or carton from Costco or Sam’s Club. They try to make it sound exciting by giving funny names to the items («hideway fries» & «By golly sauce»).
There is s decent selection of foods from hot & cold sandwiches, burgers, and daily specials.
They do a decent variety on the breakfast menu as well. I just wish they’d use some salt & pepper with the eggs. Oh course, you can put it on afterward but with scrambled eggs and omelets, it is not the same.
There is a good selection of bottled and fountain drinks available.
Recently, beer has been added, but the selection is limited the usual cheap stuff you find anywhere (bud, bud light, etc.).
Overall, the staff is pretty friendly and they have no issues customizing your order. However, quite often I’ve seen the cashier go from touching money to handling food with his bare hands and right back to the register without washing, sanitizing, or using gloves.
Several people in my office eat there everyday. However, none of them rave about the quality or the taste. It’s just a matter of convenience.
