It seems as though they can’t decide if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. The food is 5 star, everyone in my party of 4 agreed. The ingredients were all fresh and prepared and plated like you would expect in a casual restaurant. They have several specialty cocktails, I tried the apple in the rye, and they are hand crafted just like you would find in a trendy place. What keeps me from giving this place 4 stars is the service. The wait staff is more like what you expect in a sports bar. They wear what ever they choose and don’t seem to be trained or even briefed on the menu. When we asked about some of the items, the server could only say, «that’s ordered a lot». When we asked about what was on tap, the servers were not sure, fortunately the bartender overheard our questions and came to the table and was very knowledgable. When our appetizers arrived, we asked for plates because there were none on the table. She ran in back and handed a stack of plates to my sons girlfriend as she hurried by. This place has the potential to be an excellent bistro, but I urge the owners to train the staff and maybe require them dress more appropriate. The service needs to match the food.

Went here on a random Tuesday night. Not very busy but the food and atmosphere was great! We tried the deep fried pork belly, which was awesome and promptly brought to us. We then had coconut curry mussels and some shrimp and rice noodle dish. Both were fantastic, we had to help each other to try to finish our plates. We still ended up having enough for a lunch the next day. Can’t wait to come back!

I am giving his a 3 star because the food was great. We got here and were seated. The server told us she was not sure who our server would be but explained the menu. So we sat and sat and sat and finally I loudly made a comment because nobody ever came by. It was obvious they forgot about us since everyone else had their waters. The lady came and took out orders and brought us free beers. But then it still took forever to get our food. By then it was jus akward Bc the whole restaurant is looking around(it is just half full). My issue was nobody mentioned the delay etc. We did get our food and it was delicious. The shrimp and grits and to die for. My husband had vietamese rice noodle salad which he too said was delicious. We paid and got out of there. The food is good. Décor is confusing because I do not know if they want to be a sports bar or bistro. I think the issue is the kitchen is slow. If they pick that up it will improve so much. Not sure if we will return seeing this is a regular problem.

Came here for Sunday brunch, and omg — the food was amazing! I got the pork adobo, husband got the mile high omelette, and kid got the chicken fried rice. I got to try all three — all tasted fresh, with real ingredients! Definitely will come here again!

Lovely, cozy interior. Delicious food with large portions. Extensive drink menu with fun and creative options. The chef and server were genuinely kind. My wife and I ate together today, but we will be back with the whole family soon to try brunch.

We gave Lola’s a try last night. I had the beef bokchoy and husband had beef tapa. Both had very nice flavor. The portion of the bokchoy was quite a bit larger with a zesty lemon flavor. Shockingly my 2 yr old couldn’t get enough. The tapa rice was garlicy and delicious. I only gave 3 stars because of the menu selection. I may be one of the few in our area that has an adventurous palate so I’d love to see some more noodle bowl options or more philipino sandwich options. That said… the food and service(we carried out) were great and we’ll be back.

Found Lola’s here on Unilocal and thought we would try it since its close to home and my favorite Filipino dish is Pancit. We went at 7:30 on Valentines Day. We were able to get a seat without waiting. Two menu’s were presented, one being a valentines menu. We didnt go with the Valentines menu because we had pre-decided what we wanted to try based off Unilocal and the website. The Shanghai Spring Rolls were delicious, i would get them again. I ordered Pancit Canton and he ordered Raging Ramen Bowl. Our food was served quickly. The pancit dish was massive, it could be shared. It was different then pancit that ive had in the past but it was good. The Raging Ramen was spicy, which he didnt mind and was also good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I wasnt wow’d by Lola’s but this was just my 1st visit. I will try it again, especially their dessert. Others were ordering dessert and it looked delicious. Also we were worried about parking but if you go behind Lola’s there was ample parking in two different parking lots.

Let’s just say it’s not the best food I’ve ever eaten. It’s in a bar thats been partially converted for eating(not dining). It was very salty, tough, and sour. I wouldn’t waste my time going back or making an effort to get there.

My husband and I wanted to try something new while our son was in karate down the road. They were not busy when we went for dinner around 6. I had adobo pork. It was flavorful and tender, served over steamed rice. My husband had barbecue flat bread pizza which was also good. We traded meals half way through so we could try both. Wait staff was friendly. Menu is small. Not sure it has something for everyone. Bathroom was clean. I would probably go again.

I took an actual Lola(my mother-in-law) to Lola’s Bowl & Bistro, and she approves. Ordered Shanghai Lumpia, Pork Adobo, Beef Bakchoy, & three of us had Lola’s Raging Ramen Bowl, everything was top notch and the service was great.

The dim sum was extremely tasty and by far my favorite part of our meal. We also tried the oysters which were also good. Noodle bowls were very flavorful-strong hints of lemon and sweetness. Staff members were also very nice. We will definitely return!

Fortunately didnt experience the slow service posted on other reviews. Went Saturday night and our water and beer were served promptly, minutes later the 2 appetizers, then followed by the 3 main dishes. The ‘halo-halo’ dessert took a bit longer than expected, but worth the wait since the wyliepalooza coconut ice cream they topped it with made it super creamy rich and delicious. The rest of the food we had were not too shabby, price is decent, place is easy to find from 465 just head west on crawfordsville rd towards brownsburg and its the blue building on the left just past tansel rd.

Here I was, eagerly awaiting a chance to go and check this place out. I had high hopes… they were shattered… Let me set the scene… Sunday noon… when we walked in, the place was empty except for one table. Well the place is fairly new, so that didn’t surprise me. We ordered from the brunch menu which was the only one available, which is fine, that’s why we came. The menu looked good with lots of exciting options. We ordered our food and drinks… The mimosas were great, nice tall glasses looking mighty promising, delicious and a great bargain at $ 5… and then it went down the drain from there. I was served my half empty cup of decaf and since I had asked fro creamer, they brought a carton of creamer and waited there for me to pour it into my coffee so they could take it back again. The restaurant filled up as we waited, and waited and waited some more… being that we were the second table in, the place getting busy shouldn’t affect our order since we had already placed it. Half an hour into the wait, I was out of coffee and a few were out of water, trying desperately to wave down the waitress to get the situation resolved. finally we flagged her down, asked for more water and a refill on my decaf. another half hour later, a few tables had had their food served, eaten and left… we were still without food, water or drink refills. We managed to grab the bus boy who told us he would get the waitress. oh great… A little over an hour of being the bus boy brought out our food. It was lukewarm at best. Still no refills on water or decaf. We told him again, he said he would relay the message to the waitress. I had taken one or two bites, when the waitress came by and presented us with the bills. Excuse me? We asked her again for refills. We did manage to get some water. No decaf yet though. I had ordered some Filipino pork sausages, they were cold but pretty yummy. Unfortunately there was quite a wait to obtain a knife to cut these sausages… apparently knives are not included in the silverware here. The rice, which I believe was listed as garlic rice, was so bland, I could have chewed on packing peanuts and be happier. Not even the little green specks on the rice had any flavor. The egg looked like it was poached, not fried and grossly underdone… I hate eggs with runny egg whites, runny yolks I eat, but wobbly half raw white parts? No thank you. The food all did look good, but as I said cold, bland rice. No one in our party would come back for the food, it was ok, but that is the best I can say about it. Halfway through my meal I managed to grab the waitresses attention again and asked if there was some possible way to get more decaf… at which point she tells me, she tried a while ago, but noticed they were out of decaf, since they use a Keurig, so she sent Bubba out to go fetch some more decaf. Hmm, you couldn’t have communicated that to me half an hour ago? Maybe go so far as to offer me something else to drink or even see if I might take on some regular coffee? After all that we paid our bills, strangely enough that was the fastest part of our meal. We had already all decided that this was not only our first, but also our last visit here, there comes another cup of decaf with the family sized carton of creamer… And the waitress gleams and announces happily that she won’t even charge me for this cup… Say what? And then she asks: Did we enjoy our visit and wasn’t the food great? First time I saw my friends speechless… we left in silence…

The food was good BUT a few things! Complaints 1) SLOW food :(this meal took at least 2 hours from start to finish. It was just the two of us — we ordered chicken spring rolls, lettuce wraps, chicken dish with ginger, the plantains, and fruit parfait. I felt bad for the servers — they were just standing around waiting for food… 2) ODD numbers — hard to split items when everything comes in odd numbers, this is just pet peeve of mine when your splitting food(which you do when it is an appetizer) things should come in even numbers. 3) Desert Prices are not«fair.» Meaning we ordered 2 desserts — one was a giant delicious fruit parfait(think ice cream with really amazing not standard berry type fruit for my fellow Americans who like me do not know what to expect). The other was plantains with a scoop of ice cream. And by plantains I mean they gave us 2 and they were about 1 ½ inches each… BOTH desserts cost the same amount but the other came in a very sharable bowl that would’ve been WAY to much for one. It annoys me that the plantains are the same price but not the same quantity. For $ 8 I expect to have at least 6 on the plate and maybe an extra scoop of ice cream if the server sees it will be shared — not 2! 1. continued) When we got there a group of 6 had been there for a while and a group of 4 were seated before us and had ordered as well. We were the 3rd group in the place then it started filling up about 30 mins after we arrived. When we left almost all the tables were full and there was another big party too. BUT I saw people at other tables get food way faster than we did — was very disappointed that it took so long! Why this gets 3 stars: the food was very tasty! I will give them another shot because I liked the food but I hope they make a few changes to the menu(like putting lettuce wraps as an appetizer — even though it is a traditional dinner it is usually served as a «sandwich» making meal not already laid out) and hopefully work out the kitchen issues. RECOMMEND: Will try the veggie spring rolls since they are not fried next time and re-order the lettuce wraps(so very yummy). If you are contemplating an authentic dessert option and enjoy ice cream — the parfait was AMAZING!!!

We ate dinner here on Thursday October 29. Parking was very limited. We were able to get the last parking spot behind the restaurant. There were three other tables filled as we arrived around 7pm. We waited at the hostess stand for five minutes before one of the waitresses finally looked up and decided to seat us. The décor was better than we expected considering the location, but it does need some work. The ceiling tiles were dirty and warped. The walls were freshly painted but there were wires running along the floor boards and ceiling. The bar area was very nice and I noticed with delight that there was Blue Moon on draft. Overall it felt like a rushed and unprofessional remodeling attempt. Our waitress arrived a few minutes later to take our drink orders. My wife ordered hot tea and I ordered a Blue Moon draft. The tea arrived a few minutes later and was luke warm. The waitress informed me that they had«No draft beer tonight». I ordered an ice tea instead. 10 minutes later the waitress came back to take our dinner order. By this time were had read the very limited menu thoroughly and were beginning to get anxious and annoyed. We ordered lumpia shanghai, Chicken etoufee, Beef Tapas, and my daughter got the pork adobo. It was over an hour before our entrees were served. My wife and daughter were served salads and the waitress said she would return shortly with my salad. 15 minutes later I flagged her down and asked about the salad and she seemed shocked that no one had brought my salad. All of the food served was delicious. The salads were fresh with a very light oil and lemon dressing. The lumpia was delicious, but very small; nowhere near large enough to serve more than one person. The etoufee was served over rice and had a very unexpected flavor. It was not at all spicy as expected, but had a delicious creamy sauce. The beef tapas was tender and flavorful. The pork adobo was by far our favorite. We were expecting to have marginal service because of the newness of the restaurant and staff, but with as few people as were present, we should have been served much quicker. The wait staff needs instruction on basic food service procedures. Overall we were disappointed, but will likely return since the quality of food was very good.

Mimosas were very good. As were the bloody Mary’s. Ordered the Denver hash. Bacon used was good but it needed a little heat in the dish to feel balanced. Fried egg was slightly over cooked and over salted, as were the others on the table. White bread next to the hash was uninspiring and needed to be thicker and more substantial, not store bought white bread. Interiors of restaurant is sweet and the bar looks fantastic with barn wood behind it. Consistency in the décor needs to be addressed to elevate the overall look. Overall we liked this new restaurant and look forward to its growth in our community. Just done fine tuning that is needed will make it a destination for the west side.

Are you sure this is in Clermont? The building that this place is in has been home to a few different little dive bars where the people sit around and play those pull tab things so when I saw that an actual restaurant was going in, I was pretty stoked. Lola’s offers flatbread pizzas and a few entrée options that change daily. The menu is pretty limited but everything on it sounds legit and I get nervous when restaurants have huge menus. I actually prefer a small menu. My wife opted for the Asian steak flatbread pizza and I decided to go with shrimp and grits. My food was delicious and something that I would compare to the quality of a hotel restaurant. The portion size was adequate and I would consider the prices to be a good value for what arrives on the plate. My shrimp and grits arrived hot and in a clean bowl. The shrimp were plentiful and served atop a bowl of creamy grits accompanied with chorizo and cilantro. It was seasoned well and tasted excellent with a little hot sauce. The pizza was equally tasty and came with good pieces of meat, red cabbage and a sauce that tasted like sweet chili sauce. The drink selection was a little bare bones yet offered something for everyone with red and white wine, a couple macro brews and a micro on tap. I feel that a little more emphasis could be placed on cocktails and signature drinks. The inside was well decorated and reminded me of eating at a friend’s home. It’s hard to believe that this used to be a cruddy little bar and I’m impressed to see what a little style and design can do to a place. There was maybe one too many televisions on the wall and I felt that this distracted me from the food a little bit. A note about parking… If the bank across the street is closed, you can park over there. There is also some parking behind the building.
