Tasty soft serve ice cream. Love the strawberry cone with the cherry dip! Haven’t had any of the sundaes or shakes. Staff is edficient but get used to long lines in the summer-to be expected at any ice cream shoppe that time of the year!

I work a block away from this place so from time to time we gather up coworkers and head on down for the cheapest ice cream treats ever! I can’t help but point out the awesome 80’s picture signage. The prices can’t be beat and I’ve always been happy with my purchase. My favorite is the banana split in a cup. Hint hint — a medium size totally counts as lunch! Enjoy!

This is a standard soft-serve ice cream stand for the neighborhood. The ones that used to be a dime a dozen in every American suburb before Dairy Queen took them over. These are the ones that are only open during the summer, have no indoor seating. The prices are cheaper than I expected: I had a large 16 or 18oz malted milkshake for $ 3. There’s the blizzards(or whatever they’re called), the bits of candy or oreos, or other cookies mixed in with your soft-serve ice cream. They also do the dips, where you can have your soft-serve dipped into a butterscotch, strawberry, or chocolate Don’t expect any frills or anything homemade/artisan/organic, or anything that is the current buzzword; this is just good olé’ soft-serve, a taste of American summer before it’s over.

Do not let the location deceive you. I LOVE them… Cheap, clean, nicely sized portions, and flawless customer service. Better than the larger chains(Mitchell’s, Ben and Jerry’s) and better than every locally owned/run ice cream stand I’ve visited so far… Crowded in the summer.
