I love the Cleveland Public Libraries. I’ve been to several branches and the staff are always nice. This is my local branch. All of the staff are pleasant and efficient. It is quiet and has a good selection of books, movies, and CDs. The parking lot is full at times but other than that, it’s a good place to browse for a new book or just drop in and pick up the items I’d put on hold.

This is my local branch that i bike to during the nice weather. It is commonly referred to as West Park branch. Backstory: I had a CPL card from the lake county branches back in high school. For some reason that escapes me now, i got mad at them, spit on my card and threw it in the sewer(i have problems). I vowed to never go back. But after a decade of using the suburban Cuyahoga system and borrowing all of their materials that appeal to me, i needed a change of scenery. I went online to discover dozens of titles CPL was holding that no other libraries had. They took their prodigal patron back with no fuss. The staff is nice, if a bit dull. The building is an old stone château looking thing. It is right on the edge of Kamm’s Koroners by lots of shopping. You might remember it from the news. Some months back, one guy got caught touching his dewey decimal while looking at naughty internet sites. Thanks, Carl Monday. I like Lakewood public, but it is way too busy some times. Plus they lose my stuff and charge me fees. West Park has always offered a great literary and musical experience with no BS.
