Great show last nite with Panama! Great crowd and atmosphere! Loved the music and performance they put on. Would love to see them at this venue again.

This is so far from my favorite music venue. As far as big acts go, it is kind of nice to see them here instead of somewhere like The Q, but it’s still pretty impersonal and way too expensive. I always get super disappointed when my favorite artists come to town and end up here, whether they book here initially or the show gets moved from somewhere cool like Beachland and I’m forced to go to HoB since I already bought tickets. Blegh.

Nice atmosphere. Food and service was OK. Martini was excellent. Prices reasonable. I would return again if in the area.

AUSTINWALKINGCANE I LOVEYOU. Anyway, just passing through Cleveland, had dinner then came here for drinks and music. We sat in the backroom and it was empty but Austin was playing and his voice kept us around. We didn’t get any food but the service was super, very attentive and drinks were generous for their servings. Happy place full of good, good peoples. Don’t be deterred by sitting in the less rowdy backroom. I’m sure the front room is ok though.

We came in for happy hour and sat at the bar. Nikki was our bartender she was amazing! She made us great cocktails and really went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our date night. We really appreciated her! Thanks Nikki. :)

Really enjoyed this venue. The staff was wonderful and the drinks downstairs in the concert venue were amazing. The only negative I found was that the sound isn’t that great unless you’re in the audience in front of the stage. If you want to stand by the bar, behind the sound board, or along the fenced/railing area, the show will not sound it’s best. If you can — get down into the crowd and prepare to have a fabulous evening!

I came here on a work trip dinner after a long day of conferences. There were about 18 people so I completely understand of mistakes happen. The reason why they received a 3 stars instead of 4 or even 5 is because the same mistake kept happening. My co worker ordered her first round of drinks with no delay. When we all finished our first round and ordered seconds, her drink never came. Understanding that it was a big group, we just asked for it again. When everyone is done with their second drink to order the third she asked for her drink again twice. My third drink, which I asked for later than her third request, came out faster than hers. Yikes. Plus note, their jambalaya was yummy but definitely order it with the shrimp. I thought the WHOLE scallion stalk on top was a bit extra since no one will eat that with the jambalaya… Tip: New Yorkers: don’t expect the buffalo wings to drip in buffalo sauce. Is more a dry rub type of wings.

Food was great, service was questionable. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Spicy Wings with a side of Fries and holy-moly was it delicious! I will definitely have to eat there again during happy hour as they had some very interesting/intense/yummy sounding drinks on their menu. I wasn’t too fond of the service though. My friend and I sat outside since it was a nice day and with it being a Tuesday at 2:30 in the afternoon you wouldn’t think it would be busy, well it wasn’t but why then did it take so long for us to get our food? Also our waitress was hard to get ahold of. She didn’t check on us that often. Nevertheless the food was awesome and I do plan on going back, perhaps on a night when there’s to be a live band.

Should have paid attention to the reviews on Open Table about the lousy service, but wanted to go somewhere that my son could get something to his liking, which he did. My food was pretty good too, until I pulled an undercooked piece of chicken out of my mouth from the Jambalaya. Long story short, they took my entrée off the bill. The service was terrible. There are a dozen other restaurants on this fun block of fourth street… opt for one of them for dinner.

Been here many times for concerts and also because friends throw fundraisers here. There a few distinct rooms which separate themselves by theme and décor depending on what your business is there. Most of my HOB time is in the main hall for parties and concerts. Make sure you pre game the beers are a whopping $ 10 each. Bar lines are not horrendous, the place is small enough to good bands to play with a standing room below and seating above. Upstairs in the foundation room is a smaller bar/DJ place with a few meditarranean royalty style VIP rooms. There’s also a restaurant downstairs but have never indulged. If you plan to buy tickets for a show here, recommend coming here to purchase tickets, you end up saving like 10 – 15 bucks on service fees when pay online or on phone.

What can I say about the HOB. It’s alright. It’s across from a parking garage, which is convenient, if you can’t find street parking. It’s got a lot of cool art work scattered about. Dark lighting that sets the mood. Drinks are crazy expensive. I usually pregame or make bae buy my drinks. I don’t like that they have ladies in the bathroom handing you paper towels when you are done washing your hands(if you wash your hands) I always tip, but it gets expensive because I am always peeing. If you don’t tip they get sassy with you. When it comes to bands playing, the sound usually sounds good. Light show isn’t gonna put you in a seizure. When they over sell a show it sucks to move around. I just saw Against Me there for the hundred time and it had the perfect crowd. Not too over crowded. Usually when I see Flogging Molly here you can barley move, and it ruins the show. If you’re reading this and going to the house of blue, one word of advice PREGAME! Booze is expensive as hell.

Just been here to see Noël Gallagher and I thought the show and the venue were fantastic. This was my first time here, and after reading some of the reviews, I must say I was apprehensive. I needn’t of worried though. Security were very friendly, drinks were usual venue prices, $ 7.25 for a can of Angry Orchard, but that’s to be expected. I’ve had a lot worse. The restrooms were clean, as was the venue itself. I had no problem getting a great view of the stage, and the sound was excellent. Also it was a nice touch that they let you outside to smoke, as long as you had your ticket. That hardly ever happens. All in all, a superb night. I would definitely go here again.

Place is joke. Dark, dirty and shitty customer service. Not customer friendly by any means. Tried to walk around and check the venue out during the middle of the day and was told that it couldn’t be viewed when I walked in. Was told to ask my server and was told no again. Drink service was average and out door patio was average as well. Ordered drinks at 350pm and was told happy hour pricing didn’t take effect until 4pm. If your on East 4th, pick it another place

I’ve been here quite a few times for various types of concerts. Park nearby in one of the garages for $ 10 or if you get lucky, snag a street spot. Make sure to double check the times on the signs! None of them are the same. If you have a band here you want to see, don’t hesitate, because many of them sell out quickly. It isn’t a very large venue, but that just makes for a more intimate concert experience. Concerts I’ve seen here: Chevelle Excision Madeon The sound has always been well done. I wear eareplugs with filters to the concerts because I’m usually in a bit of pain after a long night. The speakers certainly won’t disappoint. Excision had absurdly crazy bass and there didn’t seem to be any problem meeting those demands. I think that the bathroom attendants are unnecessary but mostly because it’s just awkward that I didn’t tip you for handing me a paper towel… There is a medium sized area right in front of the stage for standing, and various areas around the main floor for staying out of the big crowd. The balcony can be nice if you want a good view. I’ve never bought the food, so I can’t comment on that. Drinks are expensive, as in $ 10 for a pounder/tallboy. It’s probably for the best; it keeps the crowd from getting too drunk. I’ll be coming back here for many reasons, but mostly because the House of Blues is one of the few concert venues in Northeast Ohio that actually brings bigger name bands in.

The House of Blues is DEFINITELY a great night time spot! I love that it is in the Heart of Downtown Cleveland, where the nightlife is extremely exciting and happening. I went to see the Who’s Bad Michael Jackson Tribute Band. They were excellent! The energy was great, and the diverse compilation of people and songs brought everyone together. I loved The House of Blues. It was clean, and sophisticated. Will definitely come back again!

I can’t believe I am saying this… Especially since I am NOT a fan of national chains… But DANG!!! Party of 12 for a close friends birthday all met at HOB and smh… BESTNIGHTEVER!!! From the service to the food to the entertainment, all was executed flawlessly!!! One hiccup that I will ding them on is billing… I got 3 receipts, one said 34 dollars and two said 51 dollars, so me being slightly buzzed was just gonna write the 51dollar and tip but the haze cleared and DID ask the waitress what the two different amounts meant. She said one was a mistake and retallied… Me being an old server from the day thinks a fast one was almost pulled… therefore a 1 star subtraction for the tomfoolery…

Great venue to see big name and not so big name acts from around the world. The staff is great and always ready to help any way they can. Coming in for a concert we were running a bit late, missing dinner, and it showed. The doorman told us not to worry as we could grab a bite in the hall. Traditional pub fare it none the less. It was all we needed.

This is sad for me to be giving this place 2 stars but here we are. This is a place of memories as I recall coming to shows here in high school and the place being awesome. However now, I’m simply annoyed at how outrageously cramped this place gets. I get it that it’s a concert and should be packed but the venue should allow for some type of elbow room. This shouldn’t be a place you pay money to feel like you’re in a cattle car or a chicken coop. Sidenote I experienced an very shitty bartender here. I had to have been standing at the bar top(at the counter) for about 10 minutes while the dude took orders to my left, right, like wtf man? So I finally say to the guy hey can I order a drink or what I’ve been standing here staring at you, waiting to take my order for quite a while. He has the audacity to tell me it’s my job to tell HIM I’d like to order something. Like I’m standing at the bar staring at you for my health? Anybody who’s BEEN to a bar before knows it’s the other way around. Incredible moron, incredible! So sadly, unless House of Blues expands their venue a little bit, or limits ticket sales to a reasonable number, AND rids themselves of self righteous d-bag bartenders I think I’m good on coming back for a while.

Horrible food. The French Dip was cold & they forgot the onions, which was probably for the best. Fries were luke warm & by the time I got to eat them, they were also cold. The house of blues salad was good & the horseradish sauce. Service was tolerable, no personality & a bit pushy. This was on a game night, so the place being packed & noisy, loud is understandable, but the terrible food & bland service is not. The food is not worth the price at all. We also tried to use 10% off thru Unilocal check in & the server had no clue what to do… training session. I will definitely not be back. I’d rather pack a brown bag lunch then eat this tripe. The name sells this place, nothing else.

Oh House of Blues! This is one of my favorite concert venues in Cleveland. It is small and intimate, which I appreciate with live music. They also bring in a wide variety of acts which is nice. The restaurant is good, but pretty pricy. I have been there on quite a few different occasions. I kind of feel the same about it each time. Good but nothing spectacular. We have a bachelorette party there, it was nice but it ended up being an expensive night. We have also been there for karaōke on Friday nights, which is fun but I expected more. Overall the experience is always consistent here, which I appreciate. And the corn bread is amazing!
