Rocket fizz is a fun and affordable place to shop for candy and other goodies. I adore the lines of soda pop they carry and picked up some flavors to try at home. From Judge Whopner cola to Dragon Drool. They have a huge selection of salt water taffy with the best flavor being Frosted Cupcake. They have candy from around the world and throw back candies. The staff is super friendly and the prices are affordable. It makes you feel like you are a kid in a candy store again.

Holy candy!!! My goodness this store has everything and I mean everything. The only thing I would like to see is more options of candy that you can buy by the pound. I would have loved to leave with a single candies as opposed to a whole box or bag of the same thing. What really impressed me is that they had candies that I hadn’t seen in years, brought back tons of memories.

This place is cool and fun, with a lot of imported items that you cannot find anyplace else, such as Cadbury, Japanese kit-kats, and nostalgic candy. They even carry my favorite of Flavigny’s pastilles-Violet. There’s a ton of variety, and also a huge selection of soda. The one thing that I do not like are the prices… pop rocks over $ 1.00 per tiny envelope? That same Ritter sport bar offered at target… over $ 4.00? If your local stores carry what you’re looking for(Hershey, licorice, jelly belly, m&m mars candies, wonka, necco, Swedish fish, etc.) get it at your local store as these items are two to three times the price here, for the same thing your grocery store has. I will not be purchasing anything but hard to find imported stuff. It’s still a nice, clean fun store with friendly employees, so it’s great to take kids!

Another day, another visit… there were a different group of employees and they were still super nice and helpful. I finally got my hands on the Japanese Kit Kats, pretty expensive($ 8) but I have it… ball out lol. I decided to grab the Green Tea Kit Kats(really fracking good) and the Cheesecake Kit Kats… it kind of taste like the White Chocolate Kit Kats and I’m not a fan of white chocolate.

Great concept! I like that it’s downtown, hopefully this will bring more people down here. I love the nostalgia about the place! So many great items from candy to drinks to décor. Cool place for candy lovers!

They have a wonderful selection of candies and cold bottled sodas. We had gone to find satellites and it took us 10 minutes, but it was fun to play an informal game of «I spy» for them in the meantime.

Rocket Fizz is pretty neat and I think it’s a great addition to the downtown retail scene. The place is extremely disorganized, hence the four stars. Good luck finding anything on your own because everything is all over the place. To me, it would make sense to group all the Jolly Ranchers products together, Reeses products together, etc. But that is not how it is and I don’t think that makes any sense. I also wish they kept more soda flavors in the coolers. My boyfriend and I really wanted to try a green apple flavor but the only ones they had were warm on the shelves. We went with a bubblegum one though which was great. Staff was really friendly too.

Rocket Fizz is a franchised store with about 50 locations throughout the United States. I’m surprised they’d open a store downtown CLE instead of in a suburb. It is near the 5th Street Arcades though. I like candy and sugar, so this place is pretty awesome. It’s a dentist’s worst nightmare. A good joke would be giving a gift card for this place to the child of a dentist. It’s a mixture of soda, candy, gag gifts, and other miscellaneous merchandise for sale. TONS of sodas. TONS of candy. LOTS of gag gifts. Lunch boxes. Signs. The sodas are stocked in individual bottles, so you can buy one, or put together a 4, 6, 8 or 20 pack of whatever combination of sodas you want. they also have a refrigerated tall cooler with sodas. If you know someone who loves root beer or ginger ale/ginger brew or something, this is a good place for them to check out a large number of those types of sodas. They offer a Rocket Fizz brand of sodas as well. A little reminiscent of BA Sweetie Co., they offer candy that you don’t see anymore, generally(throwback candy? Is there a term for this?). They also have a Japanese and Asian candy area, and European sweets in case you know someone who is craving something from their home country of Latvia, or wherever. Just kidding. They don’t have candy in Latvia.

For a HUGE lover of candy, it’s probably a bad thing that this is next door to my apartment. BUT, for a HUGE lover of candy, it’s probably a GREAT thing that this is next door to my apartment :) The entire time I was walking around this shop(I made several laps), I just had the biggest smile on my face! It’s bright and happy and just brings you back to your childhood! From character pez dispensers to bubble tape to candy cigarettes to razzles to moonpies to literally ANY and all types of chocolates and candies you could ever dream to think about, this place may as well have it all! No it’s not as big as Sweeties — that couldn’t fit downtown, but for it’s size, they literally have packed a TON of variety in the store! They also have a ridiculously large soda pop collection(I’m talking anywhere you find candy, theres a shelf of soda pop above or below it!) I found some Fitz’s that I used to drink when I lived out in St. Louis, so of course, I had to get some! They also have a frequent buyer card– once you get 8 bottles, you get the 9th for free. The guy explained that it only counts if you buy 1, 2, or 3 because once you start getting packs of 4 or larger, they are already discounted for you. The entire store is lined with vintage tin signs that are also for sale(if I saw correctly, 19.99? I may be mistaken, though– don’t take my word for it). Apparently, this is a chain? I’ve never heard of it, but I’m glad it’s here! I’m in heaven for sure.
