Finally I found an antique shop worth visiting. Shaker Square Antiques has probably the best selection of high quality antique furniture and art in the Cleveland area. That being said, it is a small shop and since the owner knows antiques very well, the items are priced high. He is willing to negotiate(many items he dropped as much as $ 2000 after negotiation) but these antiques are definitely not your average thrift shop type of stuff. I found a desk that I am absolutely in love with that I might have to drop $ 12,000 for. If you are looking to score antiques that are hidden gems at a low price, this is not your place. But if you are looking for beautiful, high quality pieces and can afford to pay for them, Fred is your man. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. Just an FYI — you have to be buzzed into this shop so don’t walk away if you can’t get the door open.;

Definitely the best antique store in Cleveland. Freddie has excellent taste, amazing prices and is incredibly helpful when it comes to selecting a piece as well as providing contacts for restoration & re-upholstery. I have certainly appreciated his efforts, as I’m sitting in a barrel back chair from his store while writing this.

I bought a great antique lamp here for a good price! They have a ton of awesome antiques and probably stuff you would have never guessed you would find! It’s one of my favorite stores in the area.
