Its free. With $ 3 Skates. Can’t beat the price. But it is not very large and they do not take care of the rink throughout the day. This is ideal for small children and families. The staff is very nice.

Is there a review worse than one star? If there was, I would post it. This was sooo crappy. What a joke. Ice skating on a plastic pond? Are you kidding me? Crap, Crap dont go there!

Boy am I glad I didn’t have my new blades on my skates before coming here! One of the only redeeming qualities abotu this places is that it is free and people who don’t have skates only need $ 3 to rent some. This 40×80 foot rink is in the middle of the Wade Oval Park and is made out of artificial ice, which makes it extremely difficult to skate on if you are used to natural ice, shoot, it makes it hard to skate on even if you’re just learning! Despite what some people proclaim, there still has not been an artificial ice made that accurately resembles how real ice handles and feels. If your kids have never skated before and you want to take them out for one time during the season, come on down here only because it’s cheap and very accesible to many residents. Check their website for opening hours. If you want a real outdoor ice experience, head on down to Akron(Lock 3) or Cuyahoga Falls(Falls River Square) or on the West side of the city(Halloran Park). I’ll review those once I manage to get out to all of them! The rink itself is cute and lit up very nicely in the evening(big snowflake lights hang down from the trees), giving it a bit of a romantic flair even with all the little kids tripping on the ice around you. One note of caution, if you look at all like you know what you’re doing you will be approached multiple times during the night to help tie up kids skates, teach them to skate and then randomly by old men who are not there with their kids(weird!), so you may not get much time to spend with your skating partner… The shack that services the«ice» rink also sold out of hot chocolate before the night was through :o(
