The Taco Shack

The three of us tried 5 different things: Enchiladas Suiza, Guaraches, chalupas, burrito and tacos. Very fresh, delicious and super friendly!

The chicken enchiladas and chicken quesadilla’s are gooooood. Nice little place and friendly people.

These tacos are the best ones I’ve ever had in my lifetime. I have standards when it comes to tacos since I’ve had a bunch, and I also have access to some great Mexican food on Buford highway but these definitely take the cake. I was next door at OK tire getting my car looked at and I thought what the hell why not get some tacos while I’m waiting. The joint looks like small house and nothing special from the outside but we all know this isn’t what matters. I went for the fish, pork, and chicken tacos and they were all seasoned perfectly with the accompanying sauces to add another layer of goodness to them. The service and employees here are real nice too. Check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Rounded up from 4.5 stars. This place is legit. The owners are a friendly family from SoCal that are in Cleveland cooking up authentic real deal flavor town food. Here are some things to know:
The place is a shack. Do not go expecting a fancy place with table cloths. Parking is out front. The inside has three small tables, maybe you can fit 5 or 6 people? There may be kids running around. The AC barely works. There is no cervesa. But you are here for the food right?
The corn tortillas, pico de gallo sauce are amazing. We hear the guac is authentic and home made. I need to try it.
They make specials each day beyond the stuff on the menu. When we were there today it was Albondigas soup (I used to love this when I ate meat) and Mole’ covered dishes.
They are happy to make any food veggie friendly, just using beans instead of the meat. We ordered the Enchiladas Michoagan (red sauce) and the Enchiladas Suizas (green sauce). The pico on the top was fresh. We had them made with beans and no cheese or sour cream. You get to really taste the tortillas and the sauce. She asked us if we were okay with spicy… yes!
Now the Suizas was pretty hot… I think it could be a problem for some people. But we liked it. Make sure you order a Mexican soda or the home made Horchata.
I appreciate that they are willing to modify their menu for someone that does not eat meat. I will be back.

Not your run-​of-​the mill taco spot! Everything from tortillas to the horchata is made in house. They like to play around with authentic dishes, as well as perfecting the standard menu. It’s a small mom&pop spot with super friendly, personable staff too. This is definitely my new favorite spot in Cleveland! Try the adobada and carnitas tacos.

Great food. Great price. Great people. Hey Cleveland! This place is for real. All handmade, in house food. The hand made corn tortillas make every taco amazing.
