Tony’s Produce

I go to Tony along with many other West Side Market regulars not because he has the cheapest fruits around (which I think he would admit, he does not), but because I can count on him to sell me only high-​quality fruit at very reasonable prices. He is very forthcoming about which fruits are freshest if you ask and is happy to provide samples.
With Tony, you don’t have to worry about taking the fruit home only to find it rotting away within 24 hours, as is sometimes the case with fruit you can get on-​the-​cheap from other vendors. Tony’s also very good about not going overboard with the sales pitch, as several vendors are. You get what you pay for at the West Side Market, so choose a vendor that will be forthcoming and honest.
