This bakery is absolutely delightful. On our visit, we ordered a brownie topped with toasted marshmallow, a cinnamon bun, and a cupcake. Our kiddos shared a bite of their treats and the brownie was honestly the best brownie I have ever tasted in my life. The cinnamon bun was enormous and took us 2 days to finish, The icing was absolute perfection and I can’t wait to visit again.

Cupcaked is a locally-owned small business that we’re thrilled to have in Clifton. The cupcakes are very moist(not sure about the«dry» reviews??) and tasty. You can pair your sweet treat with coffee, fancy juices, or even a glass of wine! It’s hard to visit Cupcaked and not walk out with a half-dozen box of cupcakes even after you’ve enjoyed your treat(s) in the store. Everything has been very tasty and the gluten-free options are great for the gluten-intolerant. Wifi is available so you can upload your treat photos to social media. Too bad the sweet taste doesn’t upload with the photo. You’ll just have to head over and try it out yourself. My only complaint(ha) is that they don’t deliver directly to my doorstep!(!!!)

I purchased one of each pie(Coconut crème, Apple Crisp, Pecan and Pumpkin) for my family for Thanksgiving and they were an absolute HIT. Rave reviews all around– the Pecan pie wasn’t too sweet like most, the coconut crème was the perfect consistency, and the apple crisp tasted exactly like Grandma would make it. My personal favorite was the coconut crème, but it was unanimous that all pies hit the spot. I know this is a cupcake place, but this proves that Kristina is an absolute genius in the kitchen. Already looking forward to next Thanksgiving for her delicious pies!

Great little bakery just a smidge off the main stretch in Clifton. The owner is super nice, and her baked goods are delicious! They don’t just have cupcakes here — Cupcaked offers scones, muffins, and other seasonal delights. My pumpkin cupcake with cream cheese frosting was delicious, but the real star was the blueberry cornbread muffin I got. It was crazy delicious, with huge plump blueberries than were still whole inside their cornbready bed. Mmmmm. Can’t wait to go back and try a scone-wich off the menu!

Great little cupcake place. The brewed coffee is really good and the bread puddings are perhaps the best thing there. They have a few kinds and all are amazing.

Easily one of the best bakeries I’ve ever been to. The cupcakes are moist, the cake balls have the perfect texture, and the bread pudding is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The sticky buns are enormous and delicious. The real hidden gem here though is the Sconewich. I can’t think of a better way to start your day than with a cold brew coffee(with coffee ice cubes) and a Bacon Egg & Cheese on a Cheddar Chive scone with a little bit of sausage gravy. 5 out of 5, would go again, and again, and again, and again…

What’s the big hoopla over this place. Went there for a cupcake and they looked dry and overpriced and few flavors to choose from at the time. I got a cake pop since that was slightly cheaper. It tasted stale and was not even good! What a waste of time and money! There are many better cupcake shops than this one!

The cupcakes are the perfect balance of sweet and creamy, with a variety of flavors. Crazy good gluten free selection. And the scones are tasty, too. Even better: the prices are lower than others, esp. the DC shops. Do not miss this one.

The best«cupcake shoppe» cupcake I have ever had. Flavor, consistency, price, presentation! Highly recommend this on your Clifton visit!

This is a little darling cupcake shop right in the center of Clifton. It’s a cute quiet place to grab a treat and read a book or study, or a little socializing place for Thursday nights with their wine and cupcake deal! I’ve never been disappointed with any of their baked goods and the fresh teas are delicious too!

So as far as customer service is concerned, the lady who was there was very friendly. Even though the store was about to close and there were customers were behind me she took the time to answer my questions thoroughly. She told me about an event they do once a month with the wine they sell and a paint and taste that they do weekly. She also told me about a contest they were having. So I really appreciated all the information. On the reviews I saw some people say there was a large selection and a small selection to choose from which confused me but the lady let me know they change their cupcakes(flavors) daily. I got a Banana Nutella, Chocolate Carmel, and a Strawberry Lemon. I liked the strawberry lemon cupcake the best. Despite reviews saying the cupcakes are moist I’d have to disagree. They are not the driest cupcakes I’ve ever had but they weren’t very moist. That being said they went down pretty well, they weren’t hard to swallow. I really like the flavor of the strawberry and lemon it was light and made a nice mix. I wasn’t crazy about the middle where there was a lot of lemon but overall the cupcake was pretty good. I’ve never had Nutella before but I think that is what was in the middle, I’m not sure that I like the taste of Nutella but it was in the middle of the cupcake. I really liked the banana icing! It tasted like actual banana. This cupcake reminded me of banana bread which I love. Finally, the carmel chocolate cupcake. I was really disappointed with this cupcake because I really love chocolate but I don’t feel like this cupcake tasted chocolaty it had an odd taste I can’t describe. It was strong. I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate carmel one. All and all I’d say this cupcake place is pretty good. Just be aware if you like really moist cupcakes this place doesn’t have moist cupcakes. As far as flavors I think they do a pretty good job. Customer service was great!

This is a nice little spot to hit for a morning or afternoon treat. The cinnamon rolls are fantastic, but obviously they are known for their cupcakes. Many different flavors to choose from, but I definitely would recommend«The Elvis.»

Friendly, clean, and most importantly, fresh and delicious. I got there close to closing time and the encouraging thing was that there wasn’t the biggest selection. That means they bake daily. I got 2 cookies and 6 assorted cupcakes to bring to a rehearsal i was headed to. I was a hit when I got there. I’ll be coming back

This place definitely competes with some of the gourmet cupcake shops in DC(and is about as expensive). Their icing is really fabulous – the texture is slightly granular, which I like. We had the blueberry pancake and chocolate chip cookie dough. Both were very good. The blueberry pancake definitely tasted like a pancake but I didn’t detect much of a blueberry flavor throughout and there was like a single blueberry in the cake itself(hint to chef: the cupcake would be better off with that blueberry on the top!). Also, while there are lots of different kinds of cupcakes on the Unilocal page for this shop, their daily offering is much more limited, so don’t set your heart on something you see on Unilocal and expect that they will have it when you arrive.

I found Cupcaked through Google and wish I had found it sooner! It was AMAZING!!! I tried all of the flavors they had and loved each one. The cake was perfect, the icing was perfection(and I am not an icing lover). I will be back again soon to try other flavors. Completely in love with Cupcaked! They were priced well in comparison with other bakeries.

I am usually a cookie or ice cream person(I used to get cookie cakes instead regular cake for my birthdays), but am absolutely blown away by the cupcakes at Cupcaked! They are fresh, and the flavors taste real, as opposed to processed. The icing is perfect as well– light and fluffy instead of dense or granular, like many places use. It complements the cupcake instead of overpowering it. The flavors are interesting, and posted on social media(Facebook and Instagram), so you can easily see what is available each day, without having to call. For all you gluten free people, they always have at least one GF item offered each day. The entire shop is charming and clean. If I ever need cupcakes for an event, I will definitely use Cupcaked. Clifton seems like a hike, but it’s worth it if you’re craving something sweet.

When I heard about a new cupcake place opening close to home, I was anxious to check them out! The location is off the main drag, which is great for parking. There’s a small lot nearby. Cupcaked sells breakfast items, cupcakes, and coffees. We came in to pick up a few cupcake items. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, just after the lunch hour. They had 2 types of cupcakes already in the display case: Banana Chocolate and Orange Cream. We waited a few minutes for the Red Velvet. We took our 3 cupcakes home so we could enjoy them with a nice beverage. They provided us with a cute logo box, and told us that if we recycled and brought the box back for a future use, then we could get ‘a stamp’ on our frequent buyer card. The cupcakes were tasty, not dry, but not really super moist. The frosting on all 3 cupcakes were amazing. None of the cakes crumbled and we even saved one for the next day and it kept it consistency. We’ll definitely be back and hope to see other flavors besides the 3 we selected.

They are open for breakfast and have great coffee. I loved their cute location in Clifton and the interior is adorable. It is small but in a quaint and cozy way. The staff is very friendly and chatty and their are regulars from the fire station across the street that add color exactly the way that a small town store should be. I had the maple bacon pecan roll and it was delicious. I was unable to try the cupcakes as they were not out yet(I was there around 8 on a Saturday morning) but I will definitely be back. Their coffee was delicious. OK, it’s coffee, I get that but this blend was very good, definitely one of my favorites. I definitely recommend a trip to Clifton to Cupcaked and check out the quaint Clifton area(or the Paradise winery) while you are there.

This place is amazing. If you’re looking for yummy cupcakes that capture distinct flavors, you must try. My friends and I tried a few different cupcakes. Our favorites: –Strawberry: I’m normally not a fan of strawberry cupcakes, but I love how you can taste bits of fresh strawberries in the center. What really surprised me is that the cake itself was so good. It was not dry at all, and it really complemented the icing. Cookie dough: I’ve had a lot of cupcakes in my time(no regrets /yolo), but this may be the best cupcake I’ve ever tasted. This was better than actual cookie dough and captured the flavors perfectly. We also tried the coffee and tea and were not disappointed. I think the syrup flavor changes based on the season since pumpkin syrup was available when we visited. . Overall, this is a great new spot in the cute town of Clifton to check out before or after hanging out at Paradise Springs Winery, or as a reward for running the trails at Hemlock!

I was so happy to find a cupcake shop in Clifton, and was really hoping this wouldn’t be just another blah shop. Cupcaked didn’t let me down. Cupcaked excels at the less common flavors. While the vanilla/chocolate etc is good, their cupcakes that really shine are the fruity, cookie dough flavored, pumpkin spice flavored, etc. If you’re like me, you usually stick to the same old flavors. Step outside your comfort zone here and you won’t be disappointed! I used to feel like I had to go to Georgetown Cupcake or Sprinkles to get a REALLY tasty cupcake in dc. But now I can support this small business while not feeling like quality is lacking. Hopefully business grows and more cupcake flavors will be offered at a time.
