I was thoroughly impressed with the food. I got the oxtail and I loved the sweet and flavorful sauce. I could tell it was simmered for some time in order for the oxtail to taste that good. They have a variety of sides (rice, beans, mixed vegetables, plantains) to choose from. It makes me especially happy because it’s a small joint and the people there really care about their food. Only 3 small tables, so they definitely do more take-​out service. There was a continuous stream of people lining up for their food.

I’ve lived down the block from this place for awhile and never went in because I almost didn’t see it. Well I finally decided to stop in and I’m so glad I did. They have great food at great prices; $ 7 for a small stew chicken– which is almost like a large because the portions are pretty big. You can choose two sides; I picked salad and rice and beans. The food was delicious, there were several customers that came in asking for specials– they had run out! I would definitely want to come back sometime again.

Absolutely the best Jamaican food in the neighborhood. How this place is not wildly popular is beyond me, probably only because of how low key it is. Really wonderful staff and owners. This is now one of my regular go-​to places. HIGHLY recommend if you want authentic Jamaican at a really unbeatable price.

Great service, even better food.
Had the jerk chicken (¼), which was on the bone and was absolutely delicious. With a side of peas & rice and the cabbage salad (raw). The salad can be served as either raw or cooked but the chef offered I try a sample of both, which was extremely helpful. He also made me a mixture of sweet and jerk sauce.
While waiting, the people behind the counter gave out samples of stews and sides, which were all amazing.
Solid location for quick take-​out Jamaican food.

We ordered delivery for the first time and it was DELICIOUS! Arrived quickly and hot. We had the jerk chicken and it was on point — moist, flavorful, and just the right amount of spicy. Such a refreshing, affordable, and tasty welcome to the neighborhood. I look forward to trying more of their dishes.

Very nice people, homemade food. The only thing I was missing was REAL hot Scotch Bonnet hot sauce. Staff was friendly, made us feel welcome and talkative. I felt welcomed and that is what a lot of places are lacking!

So the jerk chicken was awesome actually. The sauce they used was different then I’ve ever had more sweet then expected but good. Gives it more of a stew jerk chicken feeling.

The chicken, the cabbage, the plantains, the special hot sauce — everything is delicious. Extremely happy to have a great Jamaican place in the neighborhood. I never want my meals to end! Everything tastes very homemade and wonderful.

A nice gem. Delicious food. Had the Jerk Chicken, fall of the bone, nicely marinated/​seasoned. The «Jerk Potatoes» are so yummy. The Steamed Cabbage is nice and crisp. They also have fresh Pineapple/​Ginger, Cucumber and Carrot Juice. Can’t wait to try the Oxtails! This place is my new favorite Jamaican spot in all of New York thus far.

The jerked chicken is to die for!!! Its spicy and sweet and marinaded to perfection. When i was eating it, the meat literally was falling off the bone. Best wishes to this new Clinton Hill neighborhood gem.
