I bet that I’ve driven by this place a million times but I’ve never stopped because I don’t have any kids, so one day I thought I’d take my niece and we had a wonderful time. I just went to the Knoxville Zoo a few weeks prior with a friend and her daughter and I thought that the Little Ponderosa Zoo was just as nice and just as good. We got to feed and really interact with the animals here. I had a really great time.

Nice little petting zoo. Tigers, emus, antelope, kangaroos, camels and more. Reasonably priced and friendly staff.

This place is amazing! I have been wanting to come here for a while now and I am so glad I did! Little Ponderosa is not only an extremely interactive zoo, but it’s also an animal rescue. Your admittance price is going to a great cause. Also, I highly recommend purchasing the bucket of «zoo food» for the maximum experience. The animals here are very people friendly! Right when we walked on the grounds we were greeted by Cupcake, an adorable little goat. I had never hand fed a farm animal before, but I held my hand out with the food and she was so gentle and happy to munch! She followed us quite a ways. We fed lots more goats and were amazed by all of their individual personalities. They seem like very happy animals! We followed along the trail and fed all sorts of other animals; camels, ducks, llamas, ostrich, deer, a zonkey, and other cutes and cuddlies! There were also the most beautiful birds along the walk. The whole walk can take about an hour and half if you stop to cuddle, feed, and baby talk to all of the animals. They all seem to genuinely love the attention. While we were there I noticed that there was a birthday party, so I guess they are happy to accommodate special events. They lady that was working there that day was very friendly and so excited about the animals. I would highly recommend this place to any«causy» animal lover. This was great way to spend an afternoon! Little Pondersosa is a rare and pleasant surprise to find!
