Tasty authentic food with a awesome salsa bar! Bit of a hidden gem. For a good taste of variety try their platillo azteca.

Oh damn hell, Flavor town! Just go! Dont hesitate to do an all around on the salsa bar. You have to put the crema on the tacos! You better not complain, whichever salsa you tried was«too hot» or I will punch you in the face!

Authentic food, great service, clean, priced right and good amount of parking. They also have a market next door should you be in need of buying products to make your own food at home. We called our order in ahead and it was ready on time when we arrived. The location is right off the main road through town so no worries if you are traveling through and want something convenient and good. A solid 4 stars!

Called they said they were open, drove 4 hours to cjheck it out and they are closed. My guess, no Bueno if not open for dinner and employees don’t know the hours they are open

Very good inexpensive Mexican. Clean and very friendly staff. Tortillas made on site and very fresh. Earlier reviews notes that menus were just in Spanish — not to worry this has been rectified. You wouldn’t drive hours out of your way for this place but perfect if you are passing through.

I’m so used to how the West Coast style of Mexican food is prepared. I just can’t wrap my hands around TexMex or most all Mexican food in this part of the U.S. This place feels closest to legit, home cooked, fresh Mexican that I’m used to.

Great price, really good food. It gets really busy there since it is right next to the super market and parking can be frustrating if you go peak hours.

Great authentic Mexican food. Everything is fresh and homemade, the variety of fresh salsas are me and my husband’s favorite. My husbands mom used to own a Mexican restaurant in Chicago and he said these salsas were comparable. He usually gets the 4 tacos and I get a quesadilla. The horchata and melon water are both awesome. We also love the Mexican food store, which is located next door to the restaurant.

I’ve had to travel to Clovise about 6 times in the last year or so. I had completely given up on finding a good meal in the town other than fast food from Taco Box. Then I found this place. I no longer have to worry about meals in Clovis, and look forward to going back if for no other reason than lunch here.

I am leaving Clovis in a couple days and wish I would have went to this place sooner. I had the beef tacos and they were delicious. The price was good and the service was great every one was so friendly. I will defiantly go here for lunch again before I leave there was so many things I wanted to try. There was a long wait for lunch because they make everything to order so didn’t mind waiting.

This place is awesome! Menu is good, service is good, food is good. They make their tortillas in a factory in the back of the store and they are fresh and warm right out of the oven in both the restaurant and the grocery next door. They also have a salsa bar with excellent red and green salsas, pico de gallo, cilantro, onions and other items to decorate tacos and dip chips into. The tortilla chips came warm and fresh and went great with the salsas. They waitress brought plenty of chips to tide us over until the tacos and fajitas we ordered were ready. If you are anywhere within and hour or so of here around mealtime, it is worth the detour to come eat at Servicio Azteca.

I am in the restaurant as I type, having just finished a plate of tacos de lengua. Incredibly tender and good. I am from Albuquerque, and know a thing or two about the subject. This is my first visit to this gem in Clovis. Don’t be put off by south side location. The place is jammed with families, Air Force personnel, a friendly staff and nice people, all. One orders at a counter to the right as you walk in, then you head to the sauce and salsa bar, and good luck finding a table. When you do, the staff brings out some chips. The tacos are served naked, so be sure to gather up onions, cheese, cilantro, etc at the bar before your meal arrives. Not just tacos, there is full menu and daily specials. I want try it all.

Road tripping with Unilocal!is THEBEST! This place is definitely where the locals go to eat. And, it is GREAT. We stopped here driving from Texas on our way to ski in New Mexico. The staff was SO friendly. They gladly helped us navigate through the menu written in Spanish. And, it was so CLEAN. The salsa bar was as great as other reviewers claim. My daughter was happy she could get a simple cheese quesadilla. My husband and I were happy with our beef and chicken fajitas. But, our son definitely out ordered us with his ground beef tacos — that you can doctor any way you please off the salsa bar with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. etc. etc. We will definitely try to plan our future road trips through Clovis around mealtime! We would love to go back.

Believe the hype… this is the best restaurant in Clovis… by a long shot. In a town where it can be challenging(to put it mildly) to find anything authentic, Servicio Azteca is a gem. Absolutely the freshest, best Mexican(not«New» Mexican — important distinction) food I’ve ever had — all served by the friendliest smiling folks you could hope for. From the open-topped ice chest full of bottled bebidas, to the fantastic salsa bar, to the room in the back where you can watch them making their tortillas(which also yield the best chips — ever — for munching while waiting for your entreé) from start to finish this place is great. I’ve had both their standard combination platters as well as their quesadillas, which alone make this worth a stop, but the tacos are this joint’s raison d’être They’ve got the full fare of asada, adovada, barbacoa, al pastor, lengue… and it goes on and on. All of these meats are provided from the market next door and served piping hot on the aforementioned fantastic tortillas. Although they come out naked, after a trip to the salsa bar you can top them any way your heart desires. It’s slightly hidden(which I like) and they aren’t open for dinner EXCEPT on weekends(and then only till 6), but if you live in Clovis, do yourself a favor and go. If you’re just passing through(lucky) this is the ONLY place worth your time.

Tip: This restaurant is attached to Espiga de Oro Market, which has much larger signs than the restaurant. This is as good as Mexican food gets at this price point. The food is fantastic working-class Mexican food, where they focus on doing fundamental things well – varieties of delectable salsas at a salsa bar, house-made chips, fresh ingredients for the tacos. On average, plan to spend around $ 10, but also expect to be stuffed. The food is dense and filling. I’ve had half of the varieties of tacos, the favorites for me being pastor(pork) and buche(pig throat). Top them off with cilantro, onions, lime, and salsa, and you can’t get better. Also exceptional is the green sauce for the enchiladas, which distinctively tastes like fresh peppers. If I knew nothing else other than the quality of the food, I would recommend this place highly. Yet the service is the best part. When you go in, you can sit down or just go straight up to the counter. The workers are incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations, explaining the contents of the dishes, constantly checking with you to see if you need anything. The restaurant itself is also very efficient, being constantly cleaned, orders being hurried to the tables, and tables being cleared fast after patrons leave. Places like this deserve business. They’re doing everything their restaurant can in all the right ways.

Fantastic meal. Had barbacoa and steak tacos. Salsa bar has no shortage of choices, and the 3 – 4 I tried were great. Will definitely come back my next time in town.

So good! It’s kind of hidden and the parking is limited but it’s definitely worth a try! If you’re craving Mexican food go here! I had the Azteca Platillo, which came with a flauta, taco, chile relleno, enchilada, rice and beans. I also ordered a soda in a glass bottle and that all came to around $ 12, so pretty cheap for a ton of food! They bring chips to your table and you help yourself to the salsa bar. The food was very good, the green sauce on the enchilada was actually spicy, and I ordered my taco al pastor, and it actually had tiny chunks of pineapple in it! It was so good! The chile relleno was too greasy for me but I’m not a chile relleno person. The flauta was very good as well. And their guacamole tasted very good and fresh, not like it came from a bag. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend or anyone stopping by Clovis!
