This is really the only place I prefer to get my hair cut at, even over other barber shops. They always cut it right with almost no waiting time. The guys are chill and have good attitudes. Definitely recommended. I hope they stay around for a long time.

I’ve been to Sal’s a few times. I stopped going though because the barbers just could cut my hair the way I wanted it.
THE GOOD…
–been in business for a very long time
–barbers were friendly
–a basic haircut will be done well
–easy to find parking
THE BAD…
–not ideal with detailed razor work
–not ideal for beard trims/shaping
–doesn’t accept credit or debit cards
–lots of collectables above that look like they’ve never been dusted
–waiting area seats aren’t very comfortable
Overall, Sal’s is the kinda barber shop I’d go to if you require the basics. You’ll get a decent cut from people who appear to appreciate their customers. It’s just not the barber shop for me.

When I lived in Baltimore I found this place to be the absolute best barbershop. They don’t try to churn you out like a factory and you get a good cut for a reasonable price. Wish I had a Sal’s where I live now.

Looking for a great place for a haircut and a barber you can talk too at the same time? Then go see the guys at Sal’s. Located around the back of the Yorktown Shopping Center Sal’s does a great job at a great price. No appointments accepted, first come, first serve. Open early in the morning you can get in and get out. Adult haircuts are 16 bucks. The owner Sal is a fantastic barber as are the others. This place is a throwback to an era gone by. Head in and get a cut and some great conversation. Don’t forget to tip!
