We had a great day with Ric kayaking! He really keeps groups small and provides personalized service. The equipment is well maintained, not tattered like some rentals. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this again!

We really enjoyed our expedition with Ric. His equipment is clean and in good shape. He gave good advice for those in our group that had never been on a kayak. Even though we didn’t see any manatees or dolphins, it was very much an enjoyable time. Ric is very personable and knowledgeable of the area. He shared several stories and offered many facts about the birds and vegetation. There were four in our party and two others joined us so it wasn’t too big of a group. Ric told us he doesn’t usually take more than six or eight at a time which our group really liked. We would definitely recommend Lazy Days for anyone that is interested in taking a kayak tour.

Ric does a nice job with his kayak tours. He has a large selection of clean sit-on-top kayaks. He has a good sense of humor. His two hour tour spends the first hour looking for manatee, birds, and dolphin. The second half takes you through many secluded channels through the thousand islands. The kayaks are stable. The day that we went out, there were not many mosquitoes, but it can be worse depending on the weather. You definitely do not want a site-inside kayak on heavy mosquito days. I had considered renting a kayak up the street and going out on my own. I am glad that I went on a tour instead. First as mentioned above, Ric’s kayaks are clean and well maintained. The kayaks that I saw at the rental place were ratty. Second, while you would find manatee on your own, you would never find your way through the secluded island channels. If you are sitting in your hotel in Cocoa Beach, I would definitely recommend getting out for a 2 hour kayak tour. The thousands islands ecosystem is just four blocks from where you are sitting, but you will think you are in the deepest jungle.
