I liked this place in the beginning. They kind of fell off quality wise the longer they were open. This tends to happen. I also was there when the health inspector showed up on a surprise visit and I watched as the cooks scrambled to throw away tons of sushi they were about to serve.

First time here, I’m not a buffet person but I can say this is good! Quality food, nice ambiance. Price is higher which supports the ambiance and food(and keeps the riff-raff out)

Highly recommend! You get both quality and quantity. Lamb chops, shrimp, calamari, bacon wrapped filet mignon, fresh oysters, stone crab, octopus, sashimi, snow crab legs. Can’t forget dessert… crème brûlée, tirimisu, ice cream, Thai donuts and more! For Father’s Day, every father received a complimentary beer. The price was higher on Father’s day– about $ 30/person, but well worth it in my opinion!

First I will say, hands down, one of the best buffets I have been to. I would recommend making a reservation because it is always busy! It offers a variety of food: sushi, steak, routine Asian dishes(chicken and broccoli, lo mein, etc), varieties of ceviche, raw oysters(I watched the employee shuck the oyster while I was standing there and you can see the juice of the oyster on the shell), raw clam, cooked snow crab legs(they will steam if you ask them for you), cooked mussels and so much more! The lobster bisque the had there was very tasty! Something here for anyone! All the food looks fresh and never looks like it’s been sitting there all day. We had a big party(party of 9 adults and 5 kids). The server was amazing! Never had to ask for our drinks to be refilled! She came frequently to clear our plates and make sure our drinks were refreshed if needed. For any party of 6, the automatically add 18% gratuity. People who are off put by that should go somewhere else. We forget so often that there are more behind the scene pulling the strings than the server sucking at their job. We forget how little they actually make and really rely on tips. This is a place to go back to! I definitely feel that my money was well spent

Staff here is AWESOME the girls are so friendly(Sherill was one of them) accommodating, my friend & I came for lunch & it was about a 15 minute wait but one of the hostesses seated us right away since we were on a time crunch. Carlos our waiter was very nice as well. As for the food, it’s all delicious. I’m pretty picky with sushi & that was my favorite part; so many different kinds and variety, not just the usual rolls. The hot food is also great & the crème brûlée dessert was delicious. Overall I’ll come back again especially for the $ 13 lunch buffet.

This is definitely the best buffet I have been to in the area. It’s clean and everything is very fresh. The staff is nice and attentive. The price is a little steep as I went on a Saturday($ 16.95 I believe for brunch) HOWEVER there were so many options. They had breakfast food made right in front of you as well as all of the different buffet options. There also was a carving station if you’re into that kinda thing(I do not eat meat). I can’t wait to go back here!

First impressions: price is steeeeep. However, what that being said, I understand why they have a higher cost. They have tons of crab legs and seafood. They also have a grill section with much better beef that Shinju. My husband had prime rib, ribeye and a Brazilian steak. Pros: everything is super fresh, the staff is really nice, they clear the dirty plates away(extremely) quick, selection of food, desserts. The Thai donuts melt in your mouth and are heavenly. Seriously — angelic. Cons: price, tons of people you are shoving to get to the fried rice ;), no regular salad. Will we be back? Probably. But most likely for lunch. Much cheaper.

Amazing buffet. More selection then most franchise buffet. More steak selection then a steakhouse would offer.

I have been here with friends and family on multiple occasions, and it has always been fantastic! When you first get there expect a wait. It’s popular. But when you are seated its chow time! Sushi, sake, crab legs, oysters! And the mini desserts are scrumptious. The servers are always courteous and attentive as well. And the décor is low key and modern. You forget it’s a buffet. Do yourself a favor and at least check the place out at the cheaper lunch times. You won’t regret it!

Good meat selection. I don’t eat sushi because that’s the devil’s food but it seems people really enjoy them. The staff was great as well, very attentive.

All you can eat buffet, with sushi! I’ll start by saying my review is on the lower side due to the night I went(Wednesday) is supposed to be lobster night, but as we were walking in there was a sign apologizing for no lobster this evening. The special is supposed to include lobster with buffet purchase, so I feel like I kinda got cheated. Now on to the buffet itself. It’s all you can eat and the food is good, not great, just good. It’s edible and filling. There is Chinese food, sushi, sashimi, hot carving station, soup and desserts. It’s on the expensive side, $ 25+ per person. I went mainly for sushi, so taking into account at a great sushi place I can get a roll for $ 7-$ 10 and I usually only order 2 rolls, I will have to say this buffet is too expensive for the quality of the sushi.

I literally have dreams about this place. Hands down the best buffet I have ever been to in my life. I have brought every single out of town guest to Santos, and they all agree. Top notch. Santos serves quality, carefully crafted food buffet style, which is such a rarity. I don’t think I have tried anything that I did not like. My favorite food section would have to be the hot, Chinese style food. The lo-mein is amazing, the shrimp dishes are fantastic, and I absolutely love the tempura anything. I also obsess over the meat carving station. Ugh the spare ribs are melt in your mouth good. All of the steak cuts are super tasty as well. Now to the sushi– wonderful! They have so many rolls and they are all perfect. I especially love the classic JB roll. I could, and have eaten on numerous occasions, 15 of them. The dessert, oh the dessert. BEST part of the meal. Every single dessert is phenomenal. My all time favorite are the Thai donuts with the sweetened condensed milk. I swear they taste like Fruit Loops! Next favorite would be the chocolate mousse with the chocolate crunchy balls on top. Ughhhh so good. Then I would have to have the crème brulee, and then the panna cotta, then the ice cream… I really could go on and on. If you haven’t been to Santos yet, get there! You won’t regret it.

I love the wide variety of foods at this buffet! Dinner on the weekends cost $ 23 and includes steaks, crab legs, sushi and more! I really enjoyed the top sirloin but the prime rib was dry, the oysters were extremely clean and plump(not all dried up like at other buffets), and the dessert selection was my favorite! What other buffet includes crime brûlée and pan a cotta? The server we had was also very attentive and friendly. We also never had an accumulation of plates on the table because busboys seats came by to pick them up :)

You know when you have those sushi cravings and one roll or two are just not enough? Well I’m not a buffet person but I might be a sushi unlimited enthusiast. I was expecting Santos to be mediocre since its unlimited buffet style restaurant. But I was wrong. They had tons of choices in sushi and rolls when we went there for dinner. My brother in law loves this place and convinced us to go with him. I’m glad we did because I felt great trying the sushi. It was pretty busy so the sushi chefs were constantly making fresh sushi which is great because old sushi roll is disgusting. I would only suggest them to have their plates room temperate for the sushi side. Some of the plates were piping hot when getting them and putting cold sushi on them, I know I’m being picky but that in my mind was stuck while dining there. The service was good with the server constantly filling up our drinks and taking used plates from our table of 6. Some of my family tried the hot food as well which was a variety of foods such as fried fish, pasta, etc. But I stuck to the sushi rolls and dessert. I loved the fact they had mini dessert plates with perfect quantity. After eating sushi, this was great. I felt like I just ate a mountain of sushi and didn’t want to dine at a sushi restaurant for a while but this place is perfect for those sushi cravings.~

Best Asian buffet I’ve ever been to hands down. For around $ 26 for dinner, the value is unbeatable. They have; a great selection sushi and sashimi, steak and freshly cut meats, oysters, crab legs, Chinese food, shrimp… glorious shrimp that are batter fried and dipped in a creamy coconut sauce, soups, and my God. the desserts are mouth watering. They have Thai donuts, pastries, ice cream and assorted dessert cups. Not to sound like a fat a**, but I really am… I had like 6 to 7 plates of food. I have a hard time when it comes to putting the fork down here. Judge me if you wish, but only if you first walk a mile of buffet lines at Santos Modern American Buffet and Sushi. If you’re on a diet, stay away at all cost. If you’re not then come pig out!*** At a buffet, you wouldn’t necessarily expect grade A service, but I would have been mistaken had I thought that before coming here. Our waiter was very attentive with refilling our drinks and taking away our plates after eating. A+ service! ***Disclaimer, eat at your own risk, it’s really, really hard to stop.

It’s been a year since my initial review, and Santos has become the best(and my preferred) sushi buffet in the Coconut Creek area. The sushi and raw bar is constantly moving food, so the food they put out is very fresh. They have a bigger waitstaff, so your table is cleaned more often. During busy hours, you may have to wait up to 20 minutes, but the hostess usually gives you an estimated wait time longer than you’ll actually wait for. During weekend dinner time, they offer grilled galbi ribs and sushi tacos, which are my favorite dishes to eat. The seafood ceviche is also really tasty and refreshing. It’s great to see a business stay open and improve their service over time. I am a big fan of this Santo’s, and I do prefer the Coconut Creek location over the Boca Raton location.

I LOVE this place! But I wish the weekend dinner isn’t $ 23 without tax and tip. The weekday dinner is NOT the SAME as weekend dinner. Weekend dinner is way better and more food. If you are having fun trouble choosing between Santo’s and Shinju lunch, Santo’s lunch is WAY better than Shinju lunch. I haven’t try their brunch yet but I want to! I like everything here! There’s no one thing I don’t like. I like how they have reward spots, you can get a free drink once you earn enough spots. If you come here on the weekend, please call at least 2 hours ahead than the time you want to come to reserve a table. They insist to call 2 hours ahead. It’s better to call and wait 5 – 10 minutes than don’t call and wait 35 – 50 minutes at the door.

We came for brunch on what appeared to be a very busy Saturday afternoon. In spite of this, the waitstaff was very accommodating and attentive; in some instances our requests were processed before we could verbalise them. That’s how perceptive and extraordinarily proactive the waitstaff is. However, customer service isn’t the only area where Santo’s delivers. The sushi ranges from the most basic California Roll to Dragon-, Eel-, and even Rainbow Rolls. Personally, I found the tempura assortments to be the among finest. The Fried Rice was above par, but the Lo Mein was so-so. However, the Fried Calamari was astonishingly great.(And so was the Flan.) I tried a Thai Donut for the first time(it was awesome, by the way), and the Crème Brûlée tasted better than any I’d ever had before it. Kudos to the chefs!
