I have been meaning to write Lulu an amazing review for quite some time. I’ve been there a few times for brunch and their omelettes are amazing. Most restuarants don’t really season their eggs because I suppose they expect the diners to add salt, pepper, ect. to their specific preference, but seasoning already cooked eggs is just not the same. Lulu gets it right. Their ham&chedder omelette, parmesan pesto omelette & eggs florentine are deliciously prepared meals that I could eat all day. Their cheeses are clearly fresh and authentic. I can never wait to return. My sole complaint in the taste department is that I am obsessed with freshly squeezed orange juice and the oranges they use for juicing are not sweet and have a dull taste. I have been disappointed every time I’ve tried their orange juice so I guess their supplier just generally provides mediocre oranges. I love Lulus, so I’m really pained to give this one star review, but what I witness there was just completely, completely unacceptable. Thankfully, he was not my server, but this one frat star looking waiter who looks like he loves the gym was just disgusting. I witnessed him eat strips of bacon off of the tray of prepared bacon that I am assuming is intended for customers. Do not put your dirty hands in a tray of food intended for the people you are serving! That is just unsanitary, but although I was a bit put off by this, it doesn’t warrant a one star review. So this waiter is just picking at foods with his dirty hands instead of working; I guess it was extremely vital that he meet his protein requirements for the day. The action that truly disgusted me was that there was a container of walnuts, and instead of using a utensil, stuck his hand deep into the container and pulled out a handful of nuts. He went outside with the plate of nuts and did not return with it, so unlike the other snacks he was taking, this was for a customer! Disgusting. I could write this off as a single unfortunate incident, but the thing that really disturbed me is that he was doing this in clear sight of diners so he obviously did not care and had no shame about his behaviour. HIs coworkers witnessed him creeping back to take food and stick his grimy little hands in diners’ food and said nothing. They did not even bat an eye, so paired with the lack of shame, I can only assume this is standard and acceptable behavior for Lulu. I will not be back. Shame that the workers are so gross because the brunch options are delicious.

This place has some of best pork and fish tacos I have ever had. Having a culinary background and education I can appreciate the level of expertise it takes to combine the flavors in these tacos. Being that this trip is a business trip that I will be less than 24 hours in Miami… this place hit the spot. I will come back when I am in town again.

My brunch was really good! Good service and fast. The orange juice was not from here but still natural. Carrot juice delicious. Definitely come back. Ahhh I forgot, no long wait like across the street

This is probably our tenth time to Lulu this year, they never disappoint. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros and they were surprisingly very good for a Florida restaurant. They weren’t the New Mexican style I’m used to, but they were very good and I would eat again. My wife ordered the Asian steak salad. It’s kind of blend between a salad and a noodle bowl. If you want to eat healthy, but are tired of the typical salad, this dish is for you! It was very good, would do again! Her favorite dish is still the Chicken and Waffles though

I had some brunch today with friends and I was beyond impressed with the food, the attentive service and the beautiful location. The food was remarkable! To begin we had the goat cheese croquettes with guava and the fried green tomatoes. I’ve never been a fan of goat cheese but I was certainly delighted with the croquettes and its unique guava drizzle. I give the fried green tomatoes 5 stars!!! It was crunchy and flavorful and I couldn’t get enough of it. Our entrees consisted of the traditional benedict, the turkey burger with truffle fries, and the chicken and waffles. All dishes were exceptional, but the fried chicken was so beautifully plated and the taste was even better. It was crispy, tender and tasty! Lulu is definitely the place to be at when you’re in the Grove!

I liked my breakfast here. Had the Lulu Benedict: poached eggs on a biscuit with pieces of chorizo and a chipotle Hollandaise sauce. Eggs were perfectly poached, good biscuit. Flavor overall was pretty good, thought not great. This was served with some breakfast potatoes, which were average. I did like the fact that they were not at all oily as breakfast potatoes can of course sometimes be. Good drink selection. Great service. Fun spot to eat breakfast outside. Solid.

Lulu is solid. The smoked salmon dish is good. The goat cheese croquettes are very good. However, it is not amazing. In addition, it has a great location in Commodore Plaza. It has a good atmosphere. There is outdoor seating so you can enjoy a view of the plaza. If you are visiting Miami and looking for recommendations, please see

Fun, cool outdoor spot in the heat of Coconut Grove. Located right on the corner of Commodore Plaza and Main Hwy, this gem is right across the street from Greenstreet café. They have lots of outdoor seating, which is convenient when the weather is nice. I went at night and just caught the end of their happy hour. The have a pretty extensive menu, with both food and drinks. We opted to share Mac and cheese and Kobe beef sliders. Note: while an order or sliders typically come with 3, theirs only comes with 2. The truffle Mac and cheese was almost sinful. Very creamy and filling. We easily shared it as a side between the two of us and we still weren’t able to finish it. I plan to definitely come back to Lulu’s and continue trying out what seems to be a promising menu. Stay posted.

My wife and I were strolling in the area after eating«linner» somewhere else and decided to stop in for a quick cocktail. After looking through the menu we also decided to get a dessert. My wife got a sangria which was good but nothing fancy. I got the«Coconut grove» which was scrumdidaly-umptious. It is a mojito with coconut rum and a large pineapple slice jammed in the cup. I haven’t had that good of a drink in a while. My wife doesn’t like mojitos and she regretted not ordering one herself. We had the helado de Nutella(translation: Nutella ice cream). We were both a little disappointed when we got more of a chocolate mousse than a ice cream. The dessert was delicious but too sweet for my taste, I think they went a little overboard with the Nutella drizzle. Besides that, everything was great, drink and chill. I will have to try out their dinner next time.

I visited Lulu’s a few weeks ago for a family dinner. This place overall was very nice and it was interesting to try something new at a place that I had never been before. It was basically everyone’s first time there and we were a party of 6 and had arrived at Lulu’s around 6:30ish and we were seated fairly quickly inside since it wasn’t that busy on a Wednesday night. We started off with a few appetizers and everything seemed to be arriving quite quickly once it was ordered. I had settled on the Lulu burger and it was ok, nothing out of this world but still delicious! Now the reason I’m giving Lulu such a low rating is because once we had paid for the bill our waitress actually came back over and wanted to know why we didn’t leave her a bigger tip. I can honestly say that I have never had a waiter come back to my table and demand to know why they weren’t given a bigger tip before. At this point, I’m in shock and now she was making us feel like we were all cheap and couldn’t afford to give her some more money. She then proceeded to tell us what percentage that she normally gets since, apparently, she was not satisfied with what we had given her to begin with and for a moment I thought she was going to cry. The whole interaction was very uncomfortable and very unprofessional. A few moments later, after her little speech, she walks away and everyone at the table is feeling a little confused and awkward with what had just happened. Now, she made us feel guilty so we dropped a few extra bucks on the table and left. That whole negative experience certainly cemented the fact that we will probably never be back. If I’m going to get haggled everytime by a waiter because they don’t like the tip that was left, then I’ll certainly save myself from another embarrassing speech and go elsewhere.

trendy chic place to grab brunch at coconut grove! definitely learned my lesson about heading to brunch earlier haha, place gets pack quickly but the wait time isn’t exactly ridiculous! Have seating areas inside and outside. instead of waiting, we decided to grab a seat at the bar, possibly the best(worst? Haha) idea but we sat at the end of the bar where it’s closes by where the food comes out! literally in front of me was a giant fruit bowl and next to it a nice plate of bacons stack together(looking at them already got me drooling!) The bartender was an absolute sweetheart. We asked him about the cocktails they serve for brunch and he gave us honest opinion of each one. The cocktails was delicious and along with the food just simply filling! Decided to go big and ordered a waffle as well & boy the size of it was eye opening! Ordered the Oreo waffle, didn’t expect there to be cookie crumbs in it but wow that was the icing to a wonderful brunch!

My friend that lives in Miami brought me to Coconut Grove for brunch and this area is great with a variety of places to check out and eat. Lulu’s is right on the corner to its easy to get to. My friend and I were hungry so when we asked how long the wait was and there was no wait for a seat inside we went for it. Otherwise, they have many tables outside and would have been great to sit out there. To order, we both decided on the chicken and waffles. This may be due to me being hungry, but unfortunately I was a little underwhelmed by the chicken and waffles. The chicken was not season enough for me. Though I have to say that their variety of waffles sounded so delicious so I would definitely give it a shot if I am back in town.

Lulu in the Grove is a staple in my book. I can safely bring anyone here and know they will love it. Whether for brunch, lunch or dinner, their menu includes lots of delicious choices. For starters, I can’t leave without ordering the roasted dates with manchego, sausage and BACON! They’re the perfect size and are packed with incredible flavor. I also love the brussel sprouts and goat cheese croquettes on their small plates menu. On their brunch menu, I’ve tried the spinach feta omelette(great choice), and the Benedict(safe choice IMO). There are lots of choices if you want eggs any way, or omelettes. They’re served with potatoes and side of bread. Definitely go for multi-grain! For lunch I would totally recommend the Lulu burger, the stacked up chicken club sandwich, or any of their amazing salads. You won’t be disappointed. On a typical hot Miami afternoon, the fresh lemonade is a great choice, or spike it up and go for a Mojito drink. Their dinner menu is pretty similar to the lunch menu, which is why I think lunch here is probably the best option – especially when you can dine outside and enjoy the frequent breeze passing through. I’ve noticed guests just lounge around in no hurry to end their meal. I love that about visiting Lulu, unless I’m the one waiting for a table. In the past, I have not experienced incredibly long wait times, but they are pretty accommodating so that’s a plus. The service on my last visit was awesome. I even witnessed a waitress pull up a chair so that a guest could put her purse down(noticing she was struggling with hanging it behind her chair). It’s all in the details! These guys do it right.

All around good place to have a nice meal in a great location in the Grove. We sat outside and stuck to appetizers which were all delicious, especially the bacon wrapped dates(these are pretty much a must-order item when coming here), we tried the fried green tomatoes(which I didn’t love, perhaps it was too fried? I was hoping for something more unique, since you basically get 3 pieces.), and the Mahi tacos(I thought they were A-OK, nothing special). Lulu has well priced food and it’s in an incredible location, so for that, it is worth a try.

Honestly, I wouldn’t expect to love a restaurant on a corner in the Grove. When I was a student living in this area(ten years ago), this was tourist-central. Typically, you would find overpriced, overrated food with underwhelming service. Each time I have returned to visit Miami, however, I have visited Lulu and I have always been impressed. Today, we went for brunch. We strolled up at 9:30AM on a Sunday(prime brunch time!) and they offered us one of the outdoor couches. The weather was perfect and we had three children with us, who happened to enjoy the couches as a novelty. The service was polite and attentive(a HUGE deal in Miami). The food… was amazing. I enjoyed a cucumber bloody mary — a unique twist on one of my favorite drinks. I had the red velvet waffle which was delicious, if not over-indulgent. One of my friends had the Nutella-banana muffin. All of the pastries are made in-house and that was immediately apparent. We also enjoyed eggs, omelettes, fruit, and potatoes at our table — everything was perfect. I think this is a solid and reliable Miami option. I don’t say that frequently…

It all started with our server Jonathan. He was extremely attentive, friendly and professional. We had several different appetizers, draft beer and wine. But the best part was the dinner! The burgers were perfectly cooked and tasty. At the end of our meal Jonathan brought us glasses of champagne and said to enjoy our stay in Miami. Then said the champagne was«on him.» Great place!

Lulu’s is a great place for happy hour bites and drinks and brunch. This past Friday we came in for happy hour and had the seared scallops and bacon wrapped dates. Their signature cocktails were half off. You must try their coconut grove mojito. It consists of coconut milk and rum with a grilled pineapple inside. So delicious. Stop in on a beautiful Miami winter day and sit outside to people watch or sit at their cute little bar inside. Either way, Lulu is a hit!

I spent 2 out of the last 3 Sundays having brunch at this spot. Service, food, and atmosphere are all top notch. We had the brussel sprouts, goat cheese croquettes, and red velvet waffles… everything was awesome! Sean, our server, has waited on us both times and the experience has been nothing short of spectacular. His attentiveness, congenial disposition, and overall hospitality pedigree are all to be commended. We will continue to come back more often and become advocates of the business as long as talented people such as Sean work there. Good things are going on down there in the Grove. Delicious Brussel Sprouts. Decent choice of brewskis. I’m a coming back. Darling bartenders. Yay! Viva Miami! Prices were fair and I was a happy little piggie sitting amongst the fervor of Miami. To be fair, I could be over shooting this place by a star due to the fact I have serious ants-in-my-pants residing in a most boring town on the west coast of FL thus feeling the need to sing high praises of lulu in the grove. I’ll say 5 stars however because it’s Valentines Day and I’m über thrilled to be OUT of farty pants land for the weekend. Ahhh.

Great outdoor seating as well as plenty of space inside. Service was awesome and I would definitely come back again. There is a daily Happy Hour from 5−7PM with half off draft beers and on Tuesday half off bottles of wine for the whole evening. They have 3 small plates which are $ 5 as well — we tried 2 of them — Hummus(they will give you veggies if you prefer that over the bread) as well as the wings(sweet chili and delicious). The other items we really enjoyed were the Kale Salad(the dressing really made palatable(since I’m not a kale lover), the Lamb Ribs were to die for(absolutely a must if you like lamb) and Ahi Tuna/avocado tatare(so fresh and so yummy). Love a deal and the views/people watching in the Grove are awesome.

Lulu in the Grove is my kinda scene. Not uppitty. Above average food. Reasonable prices. Outdoor patio seating. Et cetera. Small Plates: — Goat Cheese Croquettes. I thought they were okay, but my lunch mates seemed to love them. — Roasted Dates. Dee-lee… wait for it… shus. I mean… You have dates. You have bacon. How can this go wrong? Answer: It can’t. It didn’t. — Ceviche. Not bad. Not bad. I’m not a ceviche connoisseur, so I guess the fact that I’m moderately impressed means very little. Sandwich: — Green Tomato BLT. Pretty good, but the bread was kind of dried out, so it shredded the roof of my mouth a tad. But the flavors of the green tomatoes, bacon, arugula, what have you, were all on point. Okay, minor grievance. When I said I wanted the Green Tomato BLT, the pretty young lady said it came with a side and rattled off three sides. Fries, Truffle Fries, and something else. I asked, «which one is included with the meal?» She responded, «Any of them.» I tried to clarify that I didn’t want to pick the side that was extra, but she looked at me like I was crazy. So I shrugged my shoulders and picked the Truffle Fries. The bill arrives, and lo and behold: the Truffle Fries were an extra $ 2. That’s… what I was asking… I know you understood what I was asking, pretty young lady. Not cool… Actually, service as a whole was kinda whatevs. Total for everything was a little under $ 50.

Lulu is a great spot for brunch in the Grove… especially if you get a table outside in nice weather. I had never been to Coconut Grove, but one of my hometown friends took me there and I was pleasantly surprised. Great neighborhood for brunch, having some gelato, and walking around the neighborhood to check out the boutiques, shops, etc. The food here was very good. We had: Warm Homemade Cinnamon Roll– this is a MUSTHAVE. So sweet, so cinnamy(is that a word?) and so great! Like taking a bite of heaven. Whatever you do, order this as a starter or dessert, you won’t be disappointed. Café con Leche– Miami’s local coffee. Was excellent. Spinach & Artichoke Dip– was good, but to be honest, I kind of like the one they have at Chili’s better, haha. Am I allowed to say that? Idk, it was just ok and the cheese on top was kind of burnt. I normally wouldn’t compare a place like this to Chili’s, but they do have a good spinach & artichoke dip there. lol Huevos Rancheros– were very good, and were authentic. Highly recommend this dish for your main brunch entrée. Red Velvet Waffle– this was my friend’s choice. I personally didn’t like it as it was too sweet for me, but if you like red velvet cupcakes and also like waffles, then you’ll probably love this. She did, but I didn’t Overall, this is a solid place for brunch in Coconut Grove. Definitely Recommend.

To begin with, the place is perfectly nestled in coconut grove. The seating with comfy couches outside is perfect for the weather. The waiter greeted us within minutes and expressed her interest in her personnel favorites from the menu. My fiancé and I chose two different plates, the chicken and waffles, while she chose the smoked salmon on a fresh beagle with cream cheese and tomatoes. The food was so fresh I was astonished and amazed, from the moment I put the food in my mouth I couldn’t stop wanting more. The coffee was just as fresh as the food, and let me tell you the staff is freaking awesome, Jenni the waitress has a smile to light up the world, her service made us feel welcoming and comfortable. After years of coming to this place, it constantly continues to surprise me. Sometimes it has nothing to do with location, price or food. Sometimes it’s about the experience. I visited on a Saturday morning and the wait was 40 mins long. There was the immediate option of seating at bar. I took the opportunity. Once there I met Mike(the bartender), who is the most engaging, bubbly and hospitable person in coconut grove. He is extremely knowledgable of the ingredients in all the drinks and educates his fellow coworkers on the right garnishes to put on the glasses prior to departing his premises. Mike was able to recommend drinks that were not necessarily on the menu. Mostly because we asked for something a little custom and he was very accommodating. He also is very knowledgeable of the food menu. Lulu’s true treasure is this employee that went above and beyond to make sure the patron’s experience is superb. Lulu should be grateful to have such a loyal and long lasting employee like this one! Congrats!

Truly enjoyed myself at this restaurant last night. I came here to catch up with an old friend over appetizers and drinks. When we arrived, there was a good amount of people dining outside, which I always consider a good sign. We preferred inside and were seated right away in a comfortable table. The inside wasn’t too packed and over the course of the night, we ended up with the area to ourselves. Here is what I recommend: –Brooklyn lager for beer(all draft beers were half off). –for appetizers, I recommend the Thai chicken wings, the Kobe beef sliders and the goat cheese croquettes that come with a delicious guava sauce. — we also had the chorizo and Mac and cheese, which I found to be a little bland. Overall, the atmosphere is great. The lights are dimmed and candles are placed on each table, making it the perfect location for a romantic dinner. However, the ambience is still casual enough to make it a fantastic meet up place for a girls night or drinks and dinner with a friend! The reason I took off a star has nothing to do with the food. Throughout the night, the service started off great and started to fall off a bit as it progressed. We often had to wait long periods of time to get checked up on. However, our server was very nice when he would come around.

I looooooove this place. Everything was pretty much perfect when I came here. It was friends birthday, and we wanted to try somewhere we’ve never been, so we came here. I’ve always heard about this place before but never really gave it a shot until now. It was a total of 3 of us, and before the bday girl arrived, my friend told one of the waiters that it’s our friends bday. We sat outside, and enjoyed the cool night weather. My friend ordered the chips with dip to start. It was amazing. Wow. For my entrée, I ordered the fish tacos. As we waited for our meal, our server Craig, gave us all complimentary champagne for my friends bday. That was so nice. Our dinner had a great start. I received my fish tacos, they were good, just a little spicy for me. I’m not a spicy food eater, but my friend is, so we switched our plates. Lol. She ordered the chicken tacos, and they were very tasty. At the end of our meal, Craig gave us a complimentary dessert as well, for my friends birthday. I wish I knew what it was, but it was some sort of mousse/whipped cream/with chocolate bits thing. It was added onto our bill by mistake(and then removed), and they called it the chefs special. So I’m not really sure what it was, but it was delicious. Our server Craig was great. Very nice and attentive. He helped make our night great. And my friend had a great birthday!!!

We went here for dinner last night. I’m in town visiting some friends still. We made a reservation for 6 for 9:15 pm. We did discuss the fact that they close at 10:30 because we were not sure if it was going to be rude going in at this time but being we still had over 1 hour for dinner we decided to go. One of us is in the service industry and said it was not a bad idea. We get there on time and we were chose to sit outside on patio because it was a nice night the ambience was nice. We got water but the lady server took a bit to get our drink order in. It was at least 5 min too long.(I’m thinking-at least we have this water). We ordered our appetizers which came out shortly after we received our drinks. We ordered the ceviche and pork tacos. Both were great. The pork tacos were really good, and I enjoyed the sauce they put on them too. I would order them again if I went back. I ordered a Lu Lu Burger and a couple of my friends ordered the burgers and one ordered the fish tacos. My burger was«ok». It needed some extra seasoning in my opinion. I didn’t even eat half. Shoe string fries were good.(My friends also said same thing about their burgers). I didn’t ask about the tacos. The food game out fast and it was hot but just wasn’t all that. We had to stop for snacks at chevron because we were not full. Once we got our drinks service improved but felt kinda rushed to be honest. We really were just trying to have a delicious dinner. $ 15 for a burger. Hell to the no no!!! Sorry but the burger looks better than it tastes. I was thinking about the 2 for $ 5 pizza that I got earlier in the day for lunch. Also, wish they had a Whataburger in Miami.

Went today for a SUPER late Sunday brunch(2pm). I love how they open up for brunch late. I waited for around 20 minutes to be seated outside. The atmosphere of Coconut Grove itself is beautiful so it sets the environment for outside sitting. The waitress immediately came to greet us and asked us if we wanted any drinks. She suggested the bloody mary’s and told us the wake n’ bacon was listed as top 10 blood mary’s in Miami. So I had to order it. I also ordered the Lulu Benedict as well. The wake n’bacon was a bloody mary with bacon infused vodka and 3 pieces of bacon. The bloody mary itself did have a hint of bacon flavored and had a nice spiciness to it. The bacon was candied and dipping it in the the bloody mary really complimented the bacon. The Lulu Benedict is their take on of course, eggs Benedict. Although the waitress offered me to have regular eggs Benedict, I wanted to their’s. Lulu’s take on it is different because they use steak and a spicier sauce instead of Canadian ham and hollandaise sauce. It also came with potatoes flavored with seasoning salt. The dish itself was smaller than I expected any Benedict to look like but it was extremely delicious. The potatoes though, was a little too salty for my taste. Overall, I love how they open late for brunch. Brunch is my favorite meal of the day, however, its hard to wake up for it so I will for sure come here again.
