Amazing Indian food!!! Wow! I had the chicken tiki masala and it was amazing! And I had a Long Island, also good! And really reasonably priced! My only criticism is the beer is way overpriced!!! Don’t come here if you want a beer! That’s the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars

Best Indian food in College Park! I love that they use Eat24 so we can order delivery online. We eat here every time we’re craving Indian food. The naan is my favorite followed closely by the samosas.

Went for the lunch buffet yesterday and was very impressed with the quality and variety of the food, and well worth $ 11.99. The host who sat us did not say a word to us(not even«follow me» when he was walking us to our table), so that could be improved.

Average Indian restaurant. The buffet and the malai kofta might be worth a mention but the rest of biriyani and rice options are just average. The service is not all that good.

If you have ever tried to make chicken tikka masala in your kitchen, and you do «ok», this is probably exactly what ctm at this joint tastes like. Unless you are good, in which case you are better than this place. This is what you order when you really crave Indian and there is no other option and you cannot bear to try to make it yourself. The taste was ok, but any worse and it would be unacceptable. The raita here is the consistency of kefir(too milky). Cannot dip your naan in it. Fortunately, the garlic naan is flat and chewy, which I suppose is to be expected when delivery takes far over an hour. I have had worse. The saag paneer was tasty, but cheese overcooked or just cheap. Also, don’t expect your order spicy, even if you double the«very“s in your request. Too bad tiffin does not deliver. And I am too lazy.

We ordered delivery from here last night, and I am still blown away by how good it is. I *love* Indian food; and this area has some amazing restaurants. However, I can’t remember tasting Indian food this good.

I love this indian buffet! The quality of food is the best indian buffet you can get and they change the option very often… The people who work there are not the most professional and trained ones but they do the best to give you the best service. The owner knows me since I go there very often and they always treat me with free drinks and appetizers and desserts. Def a great option if you are around CP.

If it was just me eating, I’d give this place 3 or 4 stars — it’s pretty good Indian food. There’s little subtlety in the flavors, everything is intense — the Malai Kofta is super sweet, the chicken tikka masala is a bit overwhelming with the cumin and tomato flavor. Generally, I wouldn’t mind this. But what disappointed me is that my request to turn down the pungency to non(mild is the only option in the online ordering system, but I included instructions for each dish) was not paid attention to. Everything was mild-moderately pungent causing all my children to complain of the food being«too spicy» and making it impossible for them to eat. For many, this will seem like a meaningless complaint. I love pungency myself and if I didn’t have little kids, I wouldn’t mind that much. But at the end of the day, a good restaurant needs to accommodate it’s patrons requests.

Stopped by on our way from the Eastern Shore to Dulles … Only because it was on the way and in College Park where I went to school. Monday lunch buffet … so on a typically slow day. And boy we were surprised with great food. The Navaratan Korma and the Baingan Bharata were especially good. Chicken was fresh and tasty. For the price($ 11.50 adult buffet and $ 6.50 kids) this is probably the best Indian we have eaten in a while. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Great selection on the buffet! And unlike a lot of Indian places that tone down the spice for the American customers, there was none of that here. My nose was running throughout the meal and I loved it! The staff was friendly and brought fresh naan to the table.

We ordered delivery. They came fast, but our order was incomplete. When I called the first time to tell them we were missing food, they acted confused and said it would come in 15 minutes. Thirty minutes later, I called to find out if they would credit the order for the missing items. A different person answered and was uncooperative. We called GrubHub and they took care of the situation; thank you GrubHub. The food was ok. Service was not.

Really good chutney. The complementary appetizer is excellent. Service was fast and efficient as well. Others said they were extremely friendly but I found the friendliness to be normal or average. Not bad but not remarkable. Food was excellent though.

Are you in the mood for top notch Indian food that could satisfy both a carnivore and vegetarian? If so… then you’ve found your place. Congratulations. Located in College Park along a side building(that sort of resembles a hotel) is a basket of warm buttery naan. As soon as you pick a seat in their spacious dining area, a pleasant waiter will ask if you’re trying the buffet. Always say yes, and get a glass of water to wash everything down. Everything being tandoori chicken, butter chicken(perfect for those who avoid spicy food), chicken biryani(my favorite, so spicy), goat curry, veggie pakora, white rice, daal(lentils), chickpeas, and various other dishes. There’s also rice pudding to cleanse the palate, along with a few sauces and chutneys for some additional flavor. Back to the naan. Once everyone is seated with their food, your waiter will ask if you’d like some naan. Please, whatever you do… SAYYES. It’s fluffy, buttery, and perfect for soaking up the saucy dishes. One of my favorite qualities about this restaurant is how modern it appears. High ceilings, a chandelier, and a fully stocked bar add a certain ambiance that other locations fail to do. Amazing food, good customer service, and free parking. What more do you want from a buffet?

We went for lunch buffet over d weekend and didn’t like it. Their aloo baingan was good. Paneer tikka and tadka dal was just A-ok. Ambience of this restaurant is not good. It feels dark and close in here. They should lighten up place with some light color. I think they are more interested in becoming banquet for parties than a dine in restaurant. Would not recommend people that’s for sure.

Came for the weekend lunch Buffett and it did not dissapoint. Good variety of vegetarian and meat options, including chana masala, two types of daal, goat curry, and tandoori chicken. The naan was super fresh and well made, I just wish they offered garlic naan as well as plain/butter. Well worth the $ 10.99, I hope this place makes it!

Even though it may occupy the creepiest spot in College Park, I was excited to try the new Indian buffet in town since their sister location in Hanover looked appetizing. I should have known better since I don’t think anything good will ever come out of this hotel lounge on Baltimore Avenue no matter the restaurant. My lady still claims the Asian fusion place that used to be here tried to poison her. Something about this place when it’s set up for a buffet just feels like a bad wedding reception. Except with booths. While the food, in general, was passing with the exception of the fresh appetizer station filled with delicious(though very spicy samosas), there didn’t seem to be any refreshing of the stations. My lady actually wondered aloud if the food had been there the entirety of the buffet hours. And it wouldn’t have surprised me. Our server barely acknowledged us with water and I didn’t realize there was free naan until halfway through our buffet time when he brought it. I wanted seconds(it was actually pretty good) but was afraid to ask. For an Indian buffet, it was also not that vegetarian friendly. There was some chick peas and my favorite saag paneer. But the cheese was next to tasteless in this. Maybe the tandoori meat was better but it did not look that way. But, hey, at least no one tried to poison us there. Perceived or no.

This review is for the lunch buffet that runs from 11 to 2:30 pm. We got here at 1pm. Initially I was happy to find another Indian restaurant closer than my favorite spot out in White Oak. Recently renovated and been in operation for about a month now. We were seated they give you a good 9oz pour of house wine for $ 7. I took a look at the buffet. Whaaaa… no samosas?! Instead there were tasteless fried veggie and onion fritters. The lentil were fairly decent. The rice was fresh and fluffy. Butter chicken, well lots of sauce and very little chicken. A curried goat that was not bad, but the spices were MISSING! The sauces were thin and watery. Rasoi created the cardinal buffet sin, they let the bins go virtually empty before they refilled them. People were patiently waiting for about 10 minutes until they decided to bring out more selections and they only restocked two of the many empty entrees. It was 2pm at this point I knew it was time to GO! I will not be coming back here. Although the staff is well mannered and polite, I rather drive a little further for more authentic and well-seasoned Indian. Just another reason why I typically do not like to eat off buffets.

I went over to give Rasoi a try after seeing it in the new businesses list on my Unilocal home page. After looking at the early reviews, I had buffet in mind, but I should have read more thoroughly — it is only served at lunch time. The entrance is not obvious. It is behind the door closer to Route 1, behind an unmarked glass door. It’s a fairly small room, maybe two dozen tables, plus a bar and buffet area. Warm colors, comfortable lighting, Bollywood pop music playing. Service was attentive, but a little pushy on adding appetizers or bread. Good thing I didn’t, as the serving size was generous and I wound up full without them. Water was refilled frequently, and the chai masala was properly strong. I had the lamb with spinach, richly flavored with just a hint of heat, lots of tender chunks of meat, and fragrant basmati rice. There were a wide range of dishes on the menu, at reasonable prices($ 13 – 16) for entrees, but a bit high($ 4 – 8) for appetizers, desserts and specialty breads. With tasty food and good value, I’d say it’s a fine choice for Indian food in College Park, but Sapphire in Laurel is still the winner for lunch buffet(plus dinner buffet Saturday and Sunday).

I’ve been so excited for Rasoi to open in College Park and they definitely did not disappoint! I was meeting friends that I haven’t seen in a while and this was the perfect excuse to come try out a new restaurant. Rasoi is located inside of the Clarion hotel. When we first walked in to the hotel lobby there was an overwhelming smell of chlorine. I guess the pool is nearby? I was kind of leery of going to the restaurant in case the smell was in there too but fortunately it wasn’t. Inside the restaurant it was very modern and they had a nice mix of booths, tables and seating at the bar. It did seem a little empty though, but perhaps that was because they are still in the process of decorating. There’s no buffet during dinner hours but that was okay. Our waiter brought over papor(crispy flatbread) for the table. I ordered the Ghost Vindaloo, which was goat and potatoes in a spicy gravy. I asked the waiter to make it spicy and my mouth was on fire… in a good way! Next time I’ll ask for medium though, since vindaloo is already super spicy. I also tried the chicken tikka masala and this was great as well! If you’re new to Indian food I recommend getting this dish. Both dishes were full of flavor. The portion sizes were pretty large as well. We all had to ask for to-go boxes. Service was excellent as well. We were a group of seven and our waiter never missed a beat. We would take just one sip of the water and he was there immediately with refills. The manager also took the time to come over to our table to ask us how our dinner was going. I’ll be back to try the lunch buffet!

Rasoi Restaurant opened just yesterday April 3rd and this is thier first weekend buffet. The buffet price is $ 11, which is very reasonable compared to other weekend buffets prices at $ 15 and above. The lunch buffet consisted of vegetable cutlet, gobi manchurian, plain rice, veg biryani, corn palak, dal makhani, aloo matar, cabbage matar, butter chicken, goat curry, chilly chicken, veg noodles, naan. Sweet dish included gajar halwa, fresh fruits and rice pudding. The vegetable cutlet is one of the best I had in a while. The cutlet was not oily too, highly recommend to try once you visit. Gobi manchurian(dry) and chilly chicken along with veg noodles made an awesome starter dish for me. Indian chinese items all were very good and had a good indian chinese taste. We liked the taste a lot. Highly recommend everyone to at least try their buffet once. For the price, you cant beat this buffet. Awesome food.
