Food was amazing! Our waitress was a sweetheart and brought food out quickly. I got the lemon pepper ribs and they were incredible. I would also recommend the fries to start… They have truffle oil and parm. Mmmmmm. We were impressed and we all obeyed different things. Would go again!

Excellent food, excellent prices, great selection… If you’re looking for a local joint where you’ll be welcomed with a smile and outstanding service; go no farther because this is the place! The portions are perfect, the atmosphere is nice and airy, and you won’t leave hungry. I recommend the 3-rib plate… Yum!!!

This place is pretty good. I’ve been a few times. The lemon pepper ribs are great. It’s in a good location that’s very convenient by all transportation methods. My favorite sides– Mac n cheese and sweet milk corn on cob. The furniture is s bit worn. It should be updated a bit. There’s an old school music playlist that I love.

Good food and a nice atmosphere. Really nice portions. I’m giving three stars because we went late in the evening and my chicken while smoky and delicious was also dry. My wife ordered the brisket which was good but there was lots of fat and it wasn’t as smoky as we prefer. We will go back again during regular hours and hope for better experience food wise. The service was great.

The food was good. The macaroni and cheese was delicious! The potato salad was not good to me. The waitresses was very polite and ready to serve.

We stopped in for a Sunday lunch before going to the airport. Classic atmosphere for a BBQ joint and the waitress was very friendly. We ordered pulled pork and lemon pepper ribs but were later informed they were out. Changed to chicken and brisket. Also informed they no longer had a liqueur license. Then we waited and waited. It wasn’t busy and finally 40 minutes later we got our food. A couple of slices of brisket were moist and tender, a couple were very dry. Chicken was dry as well. Flavor was very good and the side were great. Overall disappointed in the place.

Had Dinner here for my birthday with a party of 7 on Saturday night. We didn’t wait that long to be seated but once we were we were just told by the hostess where our table was instead of being escorted. It took about 10 minutes for our waitress to show up. We began ordering drinks when She informed us they no longer sell alcohol. Huge disappointment. However we stayed. It took another 10 minutes to get our soft drinks. We waited 40 minutes for our food. The restaurant was NOT crowded. The smoked wings were horribly dry which we swapped for ribs. The BBQ was delicious. The catfish was awful. It was soaked in oil with the breeding falling off. Our waitress was nice however due to the service I will not be returning.

I really want to give this place one star just because of the BEYONDAWFUL Service. While pretty great food, the service was beyond terrible. Some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. We got eyes rolled at us because we were a group of 7 that wanted to sit together versus two separate booths. Then they took 10 mins to bring us menus, 5 mins to bring drinks, and over an hour to bring the starter salads and almost an hour and a half before our main entrees came. No apologies. Terrible service aside, it happened to be restaurant week. The sweet tea lives up to the hype of southern sweet tea. The salad was forgettable. The BBQ was on point. Juicy and render and full of flavor. I tried the pork ribs and the brisket. The baked beans were flavorful, and the mac & cheese wasn’t too shabby either(though I’ve had better). BBQ places are dime a dozen, and there’s no way I’d come back for the food just because of the terrible service. This was your warning.

Be prepared for slow to no service. This place could be amazing if they worked on their customer service. A group of us are in town for work and are staying at the hotel across the street. When looking for a place to have dinner after a long day at work we decided to stop here. First they told us they didn’t have room for us outside for our group of 7 and we had to point out the vacant tables out there in order to finally convince them to let us sit. We get two tables in the back and waited 15min to finally get some menus. And we ordered right away. …an hour and 20min later we started to wonder what could possibly be taking so long. At this point we were the only people in this place. Just 7 of us. And the 4 waitresses. Nobody came to our table to ask if we’re alright, or if we needed anything, nothing. The only time a waitress came by was to drop off silverware. And she didn’t give us enough so we said«excuse me! I think we need 2 more» and she rolled her eyes all the way to the back of her head and we couldn’t help but laugh. Anyway, a total of an hour and a half later we finally got our food. Cold.(With the exception of the Mac and cheese) The only reason why we didn’t give the food back is because we were starving and didn’t want to wait any longer.

I want to like this place as I’ve been here several times but every time I visit this place it just seems to get worse. Me and one of my friends love good ribs. Its hit and miss here. If you catch them on a good day the food is good but it’s super slow. Some days you visit they run out of menu items. Huh? Where they do that at? The owner is often there and comes around to introduce himself but when mentioning them running out of stuff there was no resolution offered. Make this restaurant a priority the same way you do The Pecan down the street. I will continue to try to patronize this spot but hey do better!!!

Now this is a funky little spot something you see in midtown, but its in college park and the smoke wings are pretty good good service. The ribs look good and the brisket have to try them next trip, parking only bad thing for me but it’s worth it.

Absolutely worst BBQ I have ever eaten. Chain BBQ places like Lucille’s, Dickey’s and Woodranch taste exponentially better. Really, the food was that bad. Pork ribs and briskets were DRY as old cardboard. The damn knife won’t cut the meat. If the food taste that bad I don’t understand how they stay open and how some people would recommend this establishment. I just couldn’t wait to get out and felt terrible for my co-worker.

three strikes and you’re out. I really feel like the appeal of this place has dwindle from the first time I visited. I really shouldn’t have gone in, mainly because I’m participating in a no bread challenge, and who eats BBQ without bread, but they weren’t open when I tried to get in, so I should have taken that as a sign also. I got there at 11:05 am, and the sign on the door says they open and 11, so I was surprised to find the door locked although I could see there were several people in the business. I tapped on the glass and everyone looked up and then right back to the task they were on. Neither made a hand gesture to say, we’ll be right with you, one moment or anything… I had just began to walk away when a guy came down the sidewalk with some keys in his hand and started unlocking the door. I went in, sat at the bar, and one of the ladies that had seen me tapping on the glass stated she would be right with me. I asked for the pulled pork and was told they were out of it, uh… you JUST unlocked the door. How are you out of anything? I ended up ordering a chopped chicken sandwich, which was a joke. It is a dry piece of chicken breast chopped into hunks. I’m talking hunks that would choke a small child and no bbq sauce. How the heck is there no bbq sauce on this BBQ chicken sandwich. I ended up requesting a small container of the bbq sauce to pour over the sandwich myself. This was my third visit here, and other than the Lemon Pepper ribs, I haven’t really had anything else that would be up to my standards. I did notice there is now a patio area. It may have been here before and I just didn’t notice it because the lunch crowd wasn’t headed to it.

Our family invited a dear friend that was in town. We wanted to eat somewhere in College Park since it was a «half-way» meeting place between us and our friend. Morrow’s was a shot in the dark. i had never been and had never heard about the place. It was close and it smelled like great BBQ so we did it! The inside has a nice inviting feel and unique décor; lofty chic! I did see ants running up the wall behind me. There was also some dust caked up on the items next to our table in the window. They should clean that, but I’ll give them a little break because it’s a BBQ joint. It looks like they have a cigar store in the back. The meat was tender, well flavored, and tasty. We had the ribs and pulled pork. For sides we had mac and cheese, collard greens, and the corn on the cob. Mac was good and worth a taste. The Collard Greens were also very good albeit salty. The corn on the cob was overloaded with butter and seemed like it was sitting for a while before served to us — not fresh tasting. Their regular bbq sauce was very good — right mix of tangy and sweet! I was not a big fan of the white bbq sauce — it tasted too strongly of mayo for me. We wanted to order sandwiches, but they were out of bun bread. The service was pretty good. Nice spot, good environment. I won’t drive back unless I am already in that part of town. I would rate them a few notches under Fox Brothers BBQ in Atlanta.

I was attending an all-day training in the Hotel Indigo College Park. During our lunch hour, because it was within walking distance of the hotel, I went to Tony Morrow’s BBQ to get something to eat. I dined in the local BBQ spot and was glad I chose this place on Main Street. When I walked inside, a very friendly hostess greeted me and sat me down in one of the brown and white cowhide booths. I ordered ribs and collard greens(note: this was before I gave up meat), and it was very good. Plus, I had informed her that I needed to be back within an hour and she took care of me. I would recommend this place to anyone who may be staying or working out of the Hotel Indigo College Park. It’s a good meal option in the immediate area.

My last visit to Tony Morrow’s gave me the sads. I’ve been here several times in the past few years and I’ve always had 3 and 4 star dining experiences. The place still has its casual-cool vibe and the service is friendly but what’s happened to the food!!! The chopped BBQ chicken was dry and the sides I ordered were disappointing too. The collard greens were tender but flavorless. The mac and cheese was too eggy – almost like eating scrambled eggs and elbows – and light on the cheese. It has changed. Case in point, check out Pete K.‘s photo of the mac and cheese. It looks good – more appetizing than what I was served. Is there a different cook… a different recipe… what gives? On another note, this place is this close(fingers pinched together) to becoming the lady’s house from the Febreze commercial. The one who has become noseblind to cat odors. The problem is not inside but outside on the patio. We asked to be seated out there since it the weather was nice. But as our server led us out the side door, an unpleasant odor hit us. It wasn’t a random burst of scent wafting past; that’s just how it smelled out on the patio. I have no idea what it was or where it came from but it made it impossible for us to enjoy our meal outside. We may have caught them on a bad day. I just know that the Tony Morrow’s I’ve experienced in the past would run this joint out of College Park. I hope they can bring the old flame back.

Venue: Tony Morrow’s BBQ Décor: Nice, decent Service: A little slow I believe Environment: Laid back, chill Food: BBQ !!! Prices: Very Fair Debbie Downers: Defer to the service above Conclusion: If it wasn’t for the slow service, This place would be a slam dunk… an A++ without a doubt. I don’t know, perhaps I caught it on a bad day. I hope they aren’t under staff like that all the time because I plan on going back and upgrading the review. Ok, now that the bad news is out of the way! Let’s get down to business. The Food. Never had lemon peppered ribs before but yo! That *bleep* was off the chain. Meat fall right off the bone marrow! Nice tangy taste. Tender! Banging! Clutch. Wow, just wow!!! Heaven. Smoked poifect yo. Loved it, loved it! The sides was something to write home about too. Had to try the mac & cheese and ‘tato salad. Yes I said ‘tato!!! Mac & Cheese — official. Not the best but definitely top 20 I ever had lol. Yes I had my fair of mac & cheese and to say top 20 is a huge compliment. Very good. The ‘tato salad was phenomenal. I have no doubt that everything else is worth it. The other Unilocal reviewers deserve kudos. Because of their experience, I checked it out and glad I did. Will definitely be back. If you are a BBQ fan flying in/out of the airport or BBQ lover in ATL, definitely check it out… Cosigned! Overall: B+

This place sits on a quiet street not far from the airport. Without Unilocal, how would anyone even find this place? If you’re waiting for your flight and want to squeeze in an awesome eat, then make your way to Tony Morrow’s. Start with the Bougie fries. Sprinkled with truffle cheese, they call it Bougie for a reason. It’s that good. Stick to the beef brisket. It’s the most popular according to the waitress. The brisket was perfect — tender, moist and flavorful. Also choose the Brunswick Stew as one of your sides. It was super delicious packed with corn, carrots, beef, and beans cooked in a faintly sweetened stew. I’d skip over the heavily sweetened lemonade. Save room for the best treat here… the peach pie! Fried to perfection, the pie was stuffed with way too much deliciousness. It was best when paired with the vanilla ice cream. I should’ve ordered a second slice. Good food, friendly service and plenty of street parking make this place one of the best spots near the airport.
