The Sam Houston Sanders Corps of Cadets Center is a library and museum on Short Street between Coke and Throckmorton streets between The Quad and the President and Vice-President residences. Nickname is «Corps Center»(like core center). Have visited half a dozen times or so over the last 7 years and always found exceptional free tour service from volunteer Cadets that donate their time and left learning something new about A&M that I would never forget, every time. Every single person that has anything to do with A&M –must– see this. The museum contains artifacts since 1876 and displays covering traditions, the Aggie Band, Parsons Mounted Cavalry, the 12th Man, the Ross Volunteers, Aggie Muster, Bonfire, Reveille, Cadet life and an Aggie Ring case. Also housed in the Corps Center is the Metzger –Sanders Antique Firearm Collection. Park in the University Center Parking Garage at Koldus and it’s very close. A must see to truly understand Aggieland.
