Just had my first experience with Marsha the massage therapist and let me tell you the service was amazing. A convenient location and competitive pricing makes this massage therapist the one to choose.

I have been a customer of Marsha’s since October 2011 and have seen her 15 times. I try to go monthly if I can, and I schedule a 1.5– or 2-hour session each time. Marsha is a genuinely caring and friendly person and takes pride in the relationships she builds with her clients(professional, of course). Marsha is especially effective in relieving my neck and shoulder tension, which tends to be very high. She spends a substantial amount of time on those areas, targeting them several times during each visit to ensure that I get the relief that I need. She plays music with environmental sounds that I find very calming, and I always fall asleep at least once during each massage. Contrary to the previous review, I have not experienced her to talk during massages or to tell me to relax. Her building is very quiet on the weekends when I go, as the other businesses on the second floor seem to only be open during the week(even if I’ve gone during the week, I don’t tend to hear or see anyone). Marsha will adjust the lighting and temperature on request(my body temperature tends to fluctuate up and down). And hers is the only massage I’ve ever gotten where my husband can notice it in my face afterwards. He can always tell when I’ve seen her. Marsha’s office is conveniently located on the second floor of a small office building in the heart of Collingswood, with on-street and off-street parking options within a short walk. She has flexible hours, including weekends. Make time to visit the other wonderful businesses on Haddon Avenue before or after your appointment, especially Arts Plus, Blue Moon, Kitchen Table, The Candy Jar, or the many restaurants!

i received a voucher as a gift for a 60 minute massage with food scrub from marsha massage and redeemed it over a year ago. living in collingswood at the time, i was surprised i didn’t know where this was, but over the phone when i scheduled my appointment marsha gave me specific instructions where to find the door on haddon avenue and to ring the bell for her when i arrived. i was a little early for my appointment(as i usually am for a massage) and when i rang the bell there was no answer, but to my surprise i saw her speeding up the street on her bike saying«i’m coming, i’m coming.» we met, i immediately knew this woman was a trip: very funny, very personable! we headed upstairs to a hallway with various doors to other businesses, hers was clearly marked and we entered. it was a large room, well lit with a massage table and various massage equipment around the room. the massage itself was good, especially the food scrub, there are just a few things i would have changed. 1. she was kinda talky. a massage for me is quiet time and for her it didn’t seem the same. 2. she kept telling me to relax, which only makes me tense up. i was there because i was tense and bringing awareness to the fact was just made things worse. 3. it was too bright, the sunlight was flooding in through her windows. i prefer very dim lighting. 4. she would heat things up and move around the table very noisily. microwaves were used, bells were ringing, and she was not soft footed. overall, the massage did feel good(especially it being a gift). marsha knows what she is doing and seems to have great experience. if you live in the area you should check it out, her rates are good and her schedule seems flexible(offers days, nights, and weekends).
