The salesman, Josh O. was great(even set-up a no interest payment plan!) as was the project foreman, Dave. The rest of the process was a mess, however. They did not finish the job in one day as expected, partially b/c they had an inexperienced crew and partially b/c we had fascia that needed replaced. They tacked up temporary gutters where we needed the fascia replaced, but did not do so over another section of the house where the fascia was fine, so we were without gutters in that section for a spell. We fixed the fascia and scheduled them to come back. The day came and no one showed up, after I had to take work off. They apologized and sent a crew the next day who finished up the job well, but we had to rearrange our weekend plans because of it. Plus, a tree limb was damaged by their truck. We ended up receiving a discount and an apology. The gutters seem to work fine, but I would not use them again because of the horrible communication.

I called these guys to clean my gutters. They said they would come over«tomorrow between 3 and 5 pm». Well I waited and waited and they didn’t show or call to explain. The next day I called another company to come and do the job and while I was on the phone with them I heard something on my roof. The gutter guys decided to show up without so much as a call to let me know or to apoligize for the previous day. Since they were already here and my gutters needed cleaning badly I decided to let them do the work but I would not use them again!

The quote and receipt I have shows I paid $ 279 for the repair and cleaning, not $ 150 as the owner states in his comments to my review. The rep who came out(not the owner who is replying here) never suggested that I should replace the miter. The rep quoted me $ 150 for repairing the leak. While that may be high, that is their mininum charge to come out. Because of that he suggested I do a cleaning while I was at it. My gutters were not dirty for the most part but I agreed. I suppose that makes either the cleaning or the repair less expensive since I was then over their minimum charge. The cleaning and repair weren’t priced separately on the quote so I have no way of knowing that. I didn’t notice the handwritten«no warranty» on the work proposal until later and when I did see it I interpreted it differently as I’ve explained previously. I’ve admitted that this was an oversight on my part. Yes, Gutter Guys did offer to come back and chaulk again — AFTER I contacted the Better Business Bureau to complain. He omits that detail from his comments. Mike may be right, the gutter piece itself probably should have been replaced, not just caulked, but that wasn’t what his rep told me. It seems confusion with the facts is probably between the owner and his rep. I’ve chosen not to take their offer to caulk again because I will be having the piece replaced by another vendor.
