I’m giving it 1 star because the appetizers were good, but the entrees were HORRIBLE! My wife ordered the ribeye since they didn’t really have any seafood she would eat and Lord I thought she was going to throw up! She took a bite and her face said it all. I ordered the pad Thai and that was decent a little too sweet but edible. We called our waiter(I think is the owner) and asked him of my wife can order something else and he said sure but I still have to charge you for the steak. We’ve traveled all over the world and have eaten in great restaurants, when you’re not satisfied with your meal they’re always more than happy to bring you something else and they will not charge yo

Wow, what a find! The hubs and I were in town, and we had been wanting to try Lighthouse for quite some time, ever since they’d opened up. This is one of the two Thai-French restaurants in town and sits overlooking the Potomac River(what a view!). They offer daily specials(such as mussls with baked garlic bread and sliced bacon, grilled porotbello mushroom with tomato caper white wine sauce, maki rolls, Thai entrees(noodles, rice, soups, chicken/beef/seafood entrees), and French options(roasted chicken, steak, poulet marmite, coq au vin, and fish). We were seated by the river(they do have patio seating, but it was a little too hot that day), but you can still see the boats and the eagles: D The hubs tried their Pad See Ewe, which came with regular broccoli and egg — the flavor was a little different, and it had some dried garlic bits throughout, adding a little crunchy aspect to it. I tried their Filet Mignon from ther French section, which came with a cabernet sauvignon mushroom sauce — the presentation was really nice, as the filet was layered with the squash, decorated with sliced potatoes, onions, asparagus, and a crunchy strip of squash. This dish!!! The hubs and I both commented in how it was literally one of the best steak dishes we’ve had in quite some time — the meat, as stated, is freshly-cut in-house(never frozen), and you can tell that the quality is pretty superb! It was tender, juicy, and perfectly well-seasoned and perfectly prepared; the cabernet sauvignon mushroom sauce was the perfect amount with every morsel of the steak! The veggies were all wonderfully cooked as well; it was just so delicious!!! We also had a basket of freshly-baked rolls, that was nice and crusty with the room-tempered butter(easy spreading!) :D The owner, Mr. Noi, was hilarious — he had a great sense of humor and made sure that our experience was great! I would love to come back and try out their other French specialties, as this seem to be their strong suit. Definitely check this restaurant — definitely worth the drive: D +Filet Mignon with Cabernet Sauvignon mushroom sauce: D +great French specialties +daily specials(posted on board by the bar area) +request seating by the Potomac River view: D +ask for Mr. Noi: D +plenty of parking
