Esthetic Family Dentistry

Our family has been coming here for a +5yrs with no complaints until the change in office management.
The same morning my son and daughter were confirmed with the flu I called the office to ask if they still wanted me to come in. The office staff spoke with the hygienists who requested that I reschedule because she and her family had just gotten over a long month of the stomach virus and did not want to take their chances with Christmas a couple of days a way. I said of course and we agreed I’d call back once we were in the clear of the flu.
The week following this I received a $ 90 invoice for «broken appointment». The receptionist clarified that meant I had not called and was a no-​show. We discussed the events from the day of the appointment and she agreed that she had remembered the conversation and would call me back after speaking with the office manager. I never received a callback, but did come in to resolve the matter. The office manager who determined whether to bill or not said that in fact the invoice was issued based on review of my appointment history and need to pay. No longer was this invoice about a «broken appointment», but that the entire history of my account had been considered and that I would still be charged for not showing up like they asked and exposing everyone to the flu.
At this point all trust had been compromised and I wanted to settle the bill and move on. I would have been fine to be given the option of not showing and advised that I would be fined, but to lie about a conversation in which three separate people participated in is baffling. Least of all for $ 90. I don’t care about the bill. I do however care about the disregard of the events. Unprofessional and untrustworthy.

First off I do not like going to the dentist, but Dr Winkler and his staff are outstanding. They make me feel comfortable and safe. The first year of treatment I was at the office over 12 times (years of neglect) and had some pretty major stuff done, Dr Winkler made a plan and walked me through the process. I wouldn’t see any other dentist in town, once you have the best forget the rest.

YES YES YES… Now that I found Dr Gary Johnson, I wouldn’t go anywhere but Esthetic Family dentistry! They have one of the nicest offices I’ve ever seen. (it really is the nicest I’ve ever seen) He is so thorough and honest. He’ll tell you exactly what you need and non of that unnecessary stuff.

Is it strange I wish I had more dental problems so I could come here more often?
If you have any hesitation to going to the dentist. This is the place for you. The staff is wonderful, the dentists are friendly and treat each patient as if its a personal matter. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Waterfall things all over the walls, big coy fish tank/​pond. I go every six months and they still remember my name and always have chit chat moments learning more about me. Its a great place, its worth your time
