Rawkus

This is the first time I had been to Rawkus. I was visiting from Hawaii and decided to go to a show with a local buddy. As you can see, I have never wrote a review before but, I have got to say that Rawkus has got it right from the DOOR to the FLOOR!!!
1. ID check and security were efficient. Security did the standard check without making you feel like a criminal.
2. Pool tables in the back were a nice touch. We went in a little early so a couple of games of pool was a perfect way to bide the time.
3. Temperature was good inside, nice and cool. There were seats and tables filling the back of the club to cool down and take a breather if you need. Club provided a free cooler of water at the bar for all patrons with serve-​yourself cups. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean as hell!
4. This was an all ages event (Im over 30) and this did not have the feel of a teeny-​bopper party. The vibe was PLUR and everyone was in it to win it. Bar staff was on it. Drinks were well priced and not diluted.
5. The sound system was SECOND TO NONE. If youre looking for sounds that send a chill down your spine, you got it here thats for damn sure. Thats all I have to say about that!
6. Last, while I was sitting at the tables catching a break, I looked up and saw a French Flag displayed overhead on one of the walls. I thought this was classy as all hell. What a subtle way of taking a stance.
I had a chance to express this with both the owner and his wife on my way out and they were absolutely awesome. To that patron that made the other review of one star, it sucks you didnt have the same experience but I would absolutely recommend to anyone who’s on the fence about going to Rawkus to go out and see it for yourself!

The owner called and tried to convince me that I got a great deal on bottle service and that people buy it to save money. FYI, if you’re buying bottle service you’re only saving money if they’re charging $ 9 or more for a shot of Smirnoff if you divvy up the amount of shots in a 750 mL bottle. So don’t do that.
Instead of just saying, «I’m sorry you didn’t have a good time, my staff should have been more responsive and we shouldn’t have sold a VIP ticket in advance since we didn’t have that many VIP booths,» he argued with me again. I never asked for any compensation, just wanted him to acknowledge that he sold us a VIP package, but what we got was the worst seats in the house and rude waitresses.
I asked him to call me back the next day when he offered to make it right with a possible VIP booth another time. Owner didn’t call back and it’s been about two weeks.
Don’t do VIP here guys, customer service is not a priority.

Before this place was open live music in Colorado Springs was lame. The other venues were broken down, dirty, and the sound would give me a headache.
Rawkus changed my views of live music and going out, the facility is very nice and the layout is easy to get around while still having a great view of the show. The bar staff was friendly and made great suggestions. The ticket prices were much better then Denver, and I didn’t have to drive an hour home after since I live in the area!
Overall I was very happy with the many shows I have been to here, keep it up!
